#PinkTutuBlogParis: Paris Calling! 🩰🇫🇷 (Post 999)
Bonjour, mes amis! 🇫🇷 It's Emma here, your favourite pink-tutu-clad ballerina blogger, back with another exciting blog post. This time, it's a special one – I'm in Paris! Can you believe it? My little ballerina heart has been skipping a beat ever since I boarded the Eurostar – a whirlwind journey that I will tell you all about, along with a day spent exploring the City of Lights. ✨ As always, every trip starts with the right outfit and for my Parisian adventures, I picked a beautiful pastel pink tulle tutu with a sparkling silver ribbon – a little Parisian flair in every twirl. 😉
It's funny to think that a little girl from Derbyshire who dreamt of dancing on the stage would find herself hopping on trains across Europe, chasing ballet dreams and inspiring everyone to wear a pink tutu (the mission still stands, darling!). All this made possible by the beautiful joy that ballet brings into my life. From performing to the magical sound of the orchestra to the intricate stories told in every dance – every moment is a symphony of emotions. ✨ And with my recent performance at the Royal Opera House (oh, I shall tell you all about it soon!), I had enough to finance this Parisian dream!
Now, before we dive into the magic of Paris, let's get down to the details! Remember, my #PinkTutuBlogParis posts go up every Saturday, right here on www.pink-tutu.com, so keep coming back for a weekly dose of Parisian charm! 💖
The Eurostar Express: A Journey Filled with WhimsyThe journey from London to Paris on the Eurostar was, dare I say, an adventure all in itself. The sleek, modern train whisked us away, making me feel like I was gliding on the ballet floor, the world whizzing by. I loved peering out the window, the countryside blurring into vibrant hues – shades of green that inspired visions of emerald tulle skirts and the rolling hills that resembled a gentle ballet step. I couldn't help but envision the “Sleeping Beauty” story unfold with its magnificent castle hidden away in a forgotten forest… twirls dreamily
I couldn't help but channel the spirit of Audrey Hepburn, her iconic style and elegance just whispering through the air!
Dress Code: My travel outfit, naturally, featured a dash of pink, and some comfort. I opted for a cosy, light pink sweater with a tulle skirt - a nod to the pink tutu aesthetic! And a matching pastel pink clutch with my travel essentials – phone, passport (obviously), and of course, a mini emergency ballet slipper kit (you never know!).
Essential Tip: It is good to remember when travelling, be sure to have comfy shoes, a change of clothes, some make-up, a decent hairbrush (a very essential when one has a grand tutu, I am not saying!) and a good book for reading, in case your neighbours are talking too much! And it always makes me happy to see a beautiful, light scarf in my bag, just in case a little chill air is around.
Paris Calling! 🇫🇷Paris, as I soon discovered, was a kaleidoscope of enchantment. Stepping off the train into the Gare du Nord felt like entering another world. And it seemed like every Parisian I saw had the coolest outfits: crisp, sleek jackets, effortlessly stylish hats, scarves that floated in the air… it was all so Parisian, in a way that's just so unique to this city.
Saturday 16th February 2019 – Parisian Promenade and Le Jardin du Luxembourg 🇫🇷🌸
My Parisian day began with a classic baguette from a quaint little bakery with fresh blooms by the door - just like you see in all those romantic movies! (A girl has to be cliché sometimes!) Of course, I couldn't help but admire the pastry display, imagining the taste of each perfectly made éclair and the elegant touch of each meticulously crafted tartlet. Paris definitely knows its pastry, which reminded me – it was also a great chance to see all the amazing bakeries that Paris had to offer – a sweet ballet in itself. The fresh bread, however, gave me all the energy needed for a fun Parisian adventure.
Paris is a city where every corner has its own story, a secret charm. My first stop: Le Jardin du Luxembourg – the epitome of Parisian romance. I was enthralled by the manicured gardens, with elegant fountains and marble statues, and the beautiful, ornate greenhouses where lush tropical flora flourishes. Every angle seemed to come to life - like a ballet scene with nature’s own artistic flair!
Ballet Ballerina Dream!
What truly resonated with me about Le Jardin du Luxembourg, however, was the feeling that this place whispered the same tales as a classic ballet - a dreamy and elegant scene. In fact, when I spotted a group of children dressed as ballerinas, it felt almost surreal, a vision out of my ballet daydreams!
A Shopping Spree Through Parisian Elegance
Next, a delightful jaunt through the trendy streets around the Louvre, soaking in the ambiance of Paris's vibrant fashion scene. Each boutique was like a theatre, with exquisite displays of the season’s trends, and oh my, those hats, I simply adore hats! Hats are just a small detail to elevate an outfit and I couldn't leave without buying at least one - a beautiful floral beret, in, you guessed it, blush pink! 😉
My inner fashionista loved it. Just watching people and seeing how everyone had their individual style was captivating. A Parisian woman’s style was effortlessly sophisticated yet practical - the ultimate ballet of fashion! A pair of chic ballet flats, an artfully worn tweed coat, a signature handbag – oh, so Parisian!
I wandered past the enchanting vintage clothing stores, hoping to find that perfect piece for a special occasion! Maybe a blush pink satin gown, with exquisite beading for my next recital…
My inner fashionista was thrilled, darling! And after a long day of walking and soaking up the atmosphere, it was time to refuel – my ballet shoes weren't made for long walks. A classic Parisian crêpe filled with creamy Nutella and a fresh fruit salad (with lots of strawberries!) made my heart skip a beat!
Parisian Sunset MagicEvening came, with the golden light dancing across the Seine and a charming little restaurant with a twinkling outdoor patio.
For my Parisian dinner, I went with a delectable cheeseboard with crusty bread and a beautiful Pinot Grigio - perfect for a light and elegant meal, just like my own ballet aesthetic! Every dish was meticulously presented, a work of art in itself!
My first day in Paris was everything I'd dreamed of and more! It was pure ballet magic. A whirlwind of beauty, creativity, and elegance, set against the backdrop of this breathtaking city. There's just something magical about Paris - and its energy. It has the rhythm and grace of a perfect dance, a continuous performance of life, fashion, art, and charm, where even a simple café moment feels like an enchanting scene from a fairytale!
And of course, my blog wouldn't be complete without a tutu twirl. It's the perfect way to cap off a day exploring this captivating city. A light twirl against the backdrop of the Seine and Eiffel Tower – a little magic in Paris's evening air.
I hope you loved this glimpse into my Parisian adventure, darling! And, stay tuned because next week we're tackling another Parisian adventure - I just can't wait to share more Parisian stories and secrets. Stay twirly, darling! 😘
