#PinkTutuBlogParis - Post 1000: A Tutu-ful Parisian Adventure! 🩰💖🇫🇷

Bonjour, mon petit chou-chous! It's Emma here, your resident pink tutu enthusiast, back with another delightful update from the City of Lights - Paris!

Oh, how I love this city! There's magic in the air, and with each Parisian step I take, I feel a burst of inspiration bubbling within me, like a perfectly timed pirouette. This week has been filled with so many extraordinary experiences, and I just have to share them with you!

This past week was all about the journey - not just in Paris, but the journey itself. I arrived in this charming city in style, of course, aboard the iconic EuroStar, the perfect vessel to carry a tutu-loving ballerina across the English Channel. You wouldn't believe the looks I received as I waltzed down the train, a vision of pink tulle swirling through the aisles! (I'm so glad the staff allowed me to wear my pink tutu, bless their hearts!). I mean, how can you travel to Paris and not bring a bit of sparkle? The French have such an appreciation for beauty and art; I wouldn't dream of being anything less than captivating.

Paris: Where Tutu Dreams Come True

Upon arriving in Paris, it felt as if my own personal ballet story was unfolding. The grandeur of the train station, the aroma of fresh croissants from the nearby boulangeries, the charming cobblestone streets - it was all so... romantic! I couldn't wait to get started on my itinerary - a delightful concoction of cultural treasures, delicious cuisine, and, of course, copious amounts of fashion inspiration!

Saturday 2019-02-23: A Ballet-Centric Day

Saturday, oh, how I love thee! A perfect blend of artistry and adventure - a classic ballerina combination! After a blissful morning enjoying a delicious pastry breakfast at my Parisian apartment, (which, by the way, is adorned with pink - naturally!), I headed to the grand Palais Garnier, home of the Paris Opera Ballet. The elegance and grandeur of this building are simply breathtaking! Even without a show on, it's worth a visit to soak in the beauty of the interior. But today was special.

This Saturday, they were hosting a free, open-to-the-public ballet class! Yes, you heard me right, a free ballet class in the hallowed halls of the Paris Opera Ballet! The moment I saw the posters announcing this, I knew I had to attend. And of course, I couldn't possibly imagine showing up in anything other than my favourite pink tutu - a vibrant burst of colour against the opulence of the Opera. The class itself was amazing. The teacher, a petite, graceful woman with elegant poise and kind eyes, guided us through a beautiful sequence of warm-up exercises, ballet barre, and finally, centre work. My heart sang as I moved with the other dancers, the music echoing around us. There was something incredibly special about taking class surrounded by so much history and the echo of legendary performers. It was pure magic!

Post-Ballet Delights

Feeling energised and utterly inspired, I decided to wander through the nearby Marais district. This historic area of Paris is brimming with vibrant charm. From picturesque squares to stylish boutiques, I felt transported back in time as I ambled through the streets. It wasn't long before I stumbled upon a charming little tea salon. I felt like I'd stepped out of a vintage illustration as I savoured a pot of delicately infused floral tea with a flaky croissant and watched the Parisian life unfolding around me.

Evening Entertainment: Ballet, Broadway, and a Sprinkle of Magic

As the sun began to dip below the horizon, casting a golden glow over the city, I couldn't resist the allure of another cultural spectacle: The musical Les Misérables! You all know how much I love theatre! The music, the stories, the drama...it all fills me with such joy! Les Misérables in Paris was no exception! The theatre itself was a breathtaking monument to the beauty of Victorian architecture, and the performance itself was truly phenomenal! From the hauntingly beautiful music to the moving story, it truly tugged at my heartstrings. The sheer passion and skill of the performers had me spellbound!

Shopping Shenanigans in the City of Fashion

No Parisian trip is complete without a little bit of shopping! And trust me, I was on the hunt for some delightful sartorial finds. The streets of Paris are simply brimming with inspiring fashion - chic boutiques, vintage treasures, and oh, so much inspiration for my tutu-filled wardrobe!

Shopping spree: This time I opted for a visit to the iconic Galleries Lafayette! Now, this department store is like a fairytale palace of fashion. Glittering lights, opulent displays, and the most divine collection of clothes, shoes, and accessories! This place has the potential to send any fashion-loving ballerina into a sartorial frenzy! But even amidst this wonderland of clothes and glamour, my eye kept falling on the most dazzling of all – a pink tutu skirt! How could I possibly leave without it?! It’s definitely becoming a wardrobe staple!
