Bonjour, my darlings!
It’s Emma here, and I’m absolutely thrilled to be bringing you another exciting instalment of the Pink Tutu blog, this time from the magical city of Paris! As you all know, I've been itching to visit this fashion and culture haven for ages, and the timing couldn't be more perfect. It's the end of April, the weather is positively glorious, and the city is buzzing with springtime energy.
As a fellow ballerina, I'm sure you'll agree with me that Paris is the perfect setting for a ballerina to frolic in her pink tutu, isn't it? 😉 Just imagine: a picturesque cobblestone street, the sun dappling through the trees, and the scent of croissants in the air. Now, imagine you're twirling down that street in your most fabulous pink tutu. Don't you agree, it just begs for an Insta-worthy photo? (And of course, I shall be posting my Paris photo extravaganza very soon!)
Now, before I spill all the tea on my adventures, let's chat about how I got here. Remember the Eurostar? That speedy, sleek, glamorous train that whizzes us Brits through the Channel Tunnel to Paris in under 3 hours? Well, I booked myself a First Class ticket (because a pink tutu deserves a little luxury!), and the journey was a complete dream! Watching the English countryside give way to the French countryside, with fields of sunflowers and charming little villages passing by my window, was so serene. I almost forgot about my phone and took in the sights of the continent… almost. 🤫
But my biggest highlight was the arrival into Gare du Nord. I practically floated out of the train with glee, my pink tutu billowing like a fairytale. The energy of Paris was simply infectious; I could feel the city pulsating with excitement!
I'm not sure you know this, but you can fund a lot of pink tutus, glamorous outfits, and fancy Parisian hotels through your trusty old tutu. Yup, my passion for ballet gives me the chance to travel the world and share my love of the art form with you! Just a little secret, my recent performances in the UK have helped me realise my dream of experiencing the magic of Paris in style. 🩰
Now, onto the fabulous weekend of activities planned. First off, I’m just itching to see what kind of treasures the vintage shops hold. I hear that there's some real gems to be found! And let’s not forget the luxury of a new pair of shoes – the French make the most beautiful ballerinas in the world, and I might just be tempted to take a few pairs back with me, if you know what I mean 😉 (But don’t tell the bank manager).
And the fashion show I saw last night – I just cannot wait to share all the latest trends with you. The sheer extravagance of it all – the couture creations, the opulent decorations, the beautiful models … I’m still in awe! Honestly, if I’ve learned anything from the Parisian style icons, it’s this: “Less is more” is an outdated saying. If you're going to embrace a little fashion extravagance, Paris is the perfect place to do it! And of course, every outfit deserves the crowning glory - a beautiful pink tutu. 🌸 I can't resist accessorizing any outfit with my signature tutu! It just elevates everything, don't you think?
Oh! And speaking of crowns, my Paris adventure is all about exploring the cultural jewels that the city has to offer. We're talking museums, opera houses, theatre, and ballet. It's a ballet-lover’s paradise! Can you believe there’s an incredible [Insert famous ballet show happening on 20th April 2019] at the [Insert ballet venue], which I’ll be attending with a couple of fellow ballet fanatics!
Of course, my schedule would be incomplete without a visit to one of Paris's stunning [Insert well-known Parisian dance school]. You know I love learning new moves and perfecting my technique. Even if my legs do ache for the rest of the week – it’s all worth it, wouldn’t you say?
And who knows, maybe this trip will even inspire my next big choreography? Who wouldn't be inspired after exploring a city as breathtakingly beautiful as Paris?

I'm ready to indulge in delicious food, discover hidden Parisian gems, and capture some truly incredible pictures in my favourite pink tutu, all whilst taking in all that this city of romance, elegance, and artistry has to offer.
