#PinkTutuBlogParis - Saturday 2019-06-22 - Bonjour Paris!

Hello my gorgeous Pink Tutu lovers! This week I'm on a whirlwind Parisian adventure. The city of lights, the city of romance, the city of fashion, and definitely, the city of tutus! It's Paris, my darlings, and my very own little dream is finally coming true - just look at me! I'm a proper, girly girl tourist, all in my favourite pink tutu (a brand new one from Liberty, if you must know!), with a cute little beret perched on my head, strolling down the Champs-Élysées, champagne in hand and a cheeky grin on my face. Oh la la!

This is blog post number 1017 (I never get tired of that!), and today, like every Saturday, it's a new adventure on the www.pink-tutu.com website! For those of you who are new here, I'm Emma, your resident Pink Tutu enthusiast, a little ballet ballerina, and a huge lover of all things pretty, fashionable, and Parisian! Now, settle in for the ride, darling, because today's Parisian escapade is set to be a real fairytale!

Tutuing Through the Eurostar to Paris!

The week began, as always, with a sprinkle of magic and a hefty dose of ballerina fuel. I've been practicing like crazy for a new production in Derbyshire – we're dancing Swan Lake at the local theatre! But before the magic can really start, you need some Parisian magic to boost you, you see?

After weeks of planning and saving up (those ballerinas gotta pay for those tutus!), it was finally time for a trip to Paris! And naturally, what's the only way to travel for a tutu-loving ballerina? Why, the Eurostar of course! That sleek, fast, efficient train that whisks you off to Paris in style and speed.

Think about it: all the grandeur of a train journey, minus the delays and the constant fear of missing your connection. My fellow train travellers – a delightful group of women in equally fabulous outfits - couldn't help but smile at my pink tutu. The atmosphere in the carriage was one of anticipation and excited whispers: Paris was just around the corner, and it was time for some serious adventure!

Tip for fellow Tutu-Lovers: If you want to bring a little pink to the train journey, why not pack your favourite pink accessories? My bag is always stuffed with pink fluffy things - even a tiny ballerina figurine (just for a little added je ne sais quoi).

Eiffel in Love: Taking on Paris

The first glimpse of the Eiffel Tower never ceases to take my breath away. The beauty of it, the scale, the sheer grandeur, it always feels so wonderfully Parisian. Like I'm stepping into a picture book or a movie, or even better, a grand ballet set. Oh la la, quelle vue!

We were staying at the Hotel Du Louvre, right near the Tuileries Gardens, and right across from the Louvre museum! Can you even imagine? A balcony with a stunning view of the iconic glass pyramid, with the twinkling lights of Paris below? Absolutely perfect, even for a tutu-loving ballerina like me!

A Tutu-Friendly Trip Down the Champs-Élysées

We couldn't go to Paris without a leisurely stroll down the Champs-Élysées, could we? So, my very dear Parisian friends and I set off with our cameras, ready to snap every single chic detail. And wouldn't you know it, Paris didn't disappoint!

From the designer shops to the street artists showcasing their talent, from the vibrant cafes to the lovely street musicians playing Parisian melodies, it truly is a spectacle! We stopped to admire the beautiful shops, from Dior and Chanel to the little boutique selling that perfect pink beret, just the kind a girl like me can't resist!

This place truly makes me feel inspired. There's a certain je ne sais quoi that takes my breath away – a little bit of magic in every corner, even in the most unexpected places. And let's face it, wearing a tutu amidst all of this gorgeous Parisian grandeur, you just feel a little bit like a star!

Shopping Adventures and Fashion Feats

There's no denying, Parisian shops and Parisian fashion are synonymous with exquisite style! And for a girl like me, shopping is practically a part of my ballerina DNA! And even though I might be wearing my very own favourite pink tutu (no less!), there's always a little something that catches your eye in this city!

That evening, I wandered down the beautiful rue de Rivoli, stopping to window-shop at all the enchanting boutiques. There's something special about window shopping in Paris. Even the mannequins seem to exude style and flair. You could be watching them pirouette in their elegant outfits any minute! And let's face it, they all seem to have that Parisian swagger.

After window shopping, it was time for some more serious shopping. And what better way to spend an evening than browsing in a beautiful boutique? The Christian Lacroix shop in rue Saint-Honoré (a total tutu-lovers paradise) took my breath away! I found myself swept into a world of delicate lace and exquisite designs, with just the right amount of pink! And when it comes to tutu-fashion, we have to agree – Christian Lacroix definitely knows how to make a statement!

Theatre Dreams Come True

It was time for the event I'd been dreaming of: The ballet at the Palais Garnier. It was a magnificent, sprawling space. I was mesmerized by the intricate detailing, the plush red velvet, and the opulent chandelier. Just being in that incredible setting, in the very same hall where countless legendary performances have taken place, is an experience every tutu lover dreams of.

This evening was about celebrating the magic of ballet! My dear Parisian friend and I, in our lovely, frilly dresses, looked the part of quintessential ballet lovers! We savoured every moment, soaking in the elegance and magic that surrounded us. And of course, nothing could have made this ballet more magical than La Sylphide. That ethereal ballerina gliding across the stage in her wispy, beautiful tutu, a sight for sore eyes indeed. It was a pure and captivating story, just as any good ballet should be, and watching the dancers glide, leap and spin under that magnificent chandelier was pure Parisian bliss.

Paris: The Perfect Dance for the Soul

There's nothing like ending a Parisian day with a good cup of coffee and a decadent chocolate pastry. It's like Paris whispers "Je t'aime" into your ear - you love it, you know you do. The city is a constant source of inspiration for my own personal dance! Every detail seems to whisper in a soft French voice, inspiring my tutu-dreams and fueling my love of ballet!

The final moments in Paris always feel a bit bittersweet, but this is where I have to admit that I actually enjoyed leaving on the train. Because every goodbye feels like the start of a new adventure - and the train journey felt like the perfect way to continue our ballet in style!

My dear Tutu-lovers, I've shared some real highlights of my week, a journey packed with all things fashion, fun and beautiful. Remember, it's about the little things – a pink tutu on the Champs-Élysées, a beret at a café, the delicate pastries, the twinkling lights, and that amazing feeling when the Eiffel Tower appears on the horizon.

As I board that magical Eurostar once again, I feel soooo grateful. For the friends I travelled with, the city of lights that shone so brightly, and for that tutu magic that just won't quit! Until next time, mes amis! And don't forget, if you haven't already, wear a pink tutu for me! It makes life much more beautiful. xx
