Pink Tutu Blog: Paris, Post #1022: Tutu-ing Around the City of Lights!

Bonjour, darlings! It’s your favourite pink-loving, tutu-touting ballerina, Emma, back from the City of Lights, Paris! It’s Saturday, which means it's time for another dose of Pink Tutu Blog - and this week, oh my, it's brimming with Parisian charm and all things tutu!

As you know, I’ve been yearning for Paris ever since I first saw the stunning ballet dancers in “An American in Paris” at the Derby Theatre, all those years ago. I finally made it happen, hopping on the Eurostar with my trusty tutu tucked neatly in my carry-on. My heart skipped a beat as we sped towards the Eiffel Tower – so graceful, like a ballerina soaring through the air.

My first Parisian day was all about the grand old ladies of ballet, the Paris Opera! The Opéra Garnier – that iconic building, with its exquisite architecture and flamboyant chandeliers – is truly breathtaking. I even had the chance to see a stunning performance of "Giselle," and my inner ballerina just about exploded with joy. The emotion, the talent, the grace, everything about it was divine. There’s nothing quite like experiencing ballet live, especially in a place like the Paris Opera, feeling the magic swirl around you.

Of course, Paris isn’t just about ballet. Shopping is a must! So, I waltzed into Galeries Lafayette and Printemps, my senses flooded with the scents of perfume and leather. I fell head over heels for a silk scarf with delicate ballet dancers printed on it – I just had to have it! And of course, what's a Parisian trip without indulging in a delicious éclair? Let’s just say, it was the perfect accompaniment to my shopping spree.

My evening was dedicated to the Theatre du Chatelet. I saw a stunning show, full of song, dance and visual splendour. This truly is a magical city, embracing creativity and artistry in every corner. I even managed to sneak in a little tutu-ing outside the theatre - you just have to embrace the inner ballerina in such a gorgeous setting.

Speaking of gorgeous, tutu talk, I couldn’t resist visiting the iconic Moulin Rouge! Oh my, that dazzling, glitzy red windmill - just fabulous! Even if you’re not into the show, the whole experience is an unforgettable trip down Parisian memory lane. And what's a visit to the Moulin Rouge without a little pink tulle? I strutted my stuff in a vibrant pink tutu – it felt utterly fabulous and definitely turned heads! I even got a little video for the Pink Tutu Blog (stay tuned!).

And now, after a week in the City of Love, I’m heading back to England with my heart full of Parisian memories and my head buzzing with new inspiration. The Parisian energy – its romance, its history, its culture - is just magnetic, and I feel a surge of creativity within me. This trip was definitely an emotional highlight, and it’s made me all the more determined to live life on the stage – with my tutu firmly on, of course!

As I always say, "There's a tutu out there for everyone!" and maybe even Paris will tempt you to twirl around a bit yourself! Don’t forget to check out my Pink Tutu Blog for more photos and videos from my Parisian adventure! I'll be back next Saturday with another peek into my world – and don't forget to tell all your friends and family about Pink-Tutu.com! Let's make the world a more colourful, more tutu-filled place, one step at a time!

Bisous, Emma xx
