Pink Tutu Paris: Bonjour from the City of Lights! (Post #1030)
Hello darlings! It’s Saturday again, which means it's time for another Pink Tutu adventure! This week, I'm whisking you away with me to the most magical city in the world… Paris!
Yes, you read that right. Your favourite pink-loving, tutu-wearing ballerina has finally made it to the City of Lights! I know, I know, I’m positively buzzing with excitement (and maybe a tiny bit of jet lag!). It feels like a dream come true – my tutu is twirling with joy just thinking about it!
Before I take you on a whirlwind tour of Paris, let's talk about how I got here. After weeks of rehearsals and performances, my trusty little ballet savings were finally big enough to afford my dream trip! I knew the best way to get to Paris was on the Eurostar, the sleek, super-fast train that takes you straight into the heart of the city.
I absolutely love train travel! There's something so magical about watching the scenery whizz by and imagining all the adventures that lie ahead. My outfit for this journey, of course, was a vibrant pink tutu (my go-to travel look, let's be honest!) paired with a fluffy pink cardigan for a touch of Parisian chic, naturally.
Speaking of Parisian chic, let's talk about today's schedule! We've got so much to cram into this day that I almost can't contain my excitement!
This Saturday's Parisian Itinerary:
Morning: We start with a stroll through the Champs-Élysées, one of Paris' most iconic streets, filled with beautiful boutiques, delicious cafes and breathtaking architecture. I’ll be keeping a close eye out for any pink tutu-worthy treats, especially in the gorgeous boutiques on this street. And I won't lie, a Parisian macaron is probably high up on the list!
Mid-day: Lunchtime! I've been dreaming of traditional French cuisine, so naturally, I'll be indulging in some fresh baguettes, delicious cheeses and the best, richest chocolate mousse in the world!
Afternoon: Now for a bit of Parisian history! The Louvre, one of the most famous museums in the world. I've been dying to see the Mona Lisa! Even though it's a tiny painting, the Mona Lisa has such a presence. Who knows, maybe her cheeky smile will inspire my own ballet moves.
Evening: A magical ballet experience! I'm thrilled to be catching a performance at the Palais Garnier Opera House! It's a stunning, historical theatre with ornate decorations that will simply blow my mind. This is a true bucket list item! I can already imagine the elegance of the costumes and the breathtaking ballet sequences!

Oh, and before I forget, I’ve already been picking up inspiration for my Pink Tutu Paris look book. Pink Tutu Paris: Day 2 - Let’s Be Parisian! (Post #1031)
Bonjour from the City of Love! Can you believe it’s already Day 2 in Paris? It’s flown by in a blur of croissants, museums, and, of course, lots of pink tutu twirling.
My favourite moment from yesterday? Without a doubt, it was the moment I walked into the Palais Garnier Opera House for the ballet. The theatre itself is a sight to behold! It's like stepping into a fairytale - ornate gold chandeliers, velvet-covered seating, and so much breathtaking architecture, I couldn't help but gasp!
But the ballet, that was something else! The choreography was divine! So expressive, so captivating! I swear, I almost joined them on stage! But alas, I kept my tutu-twirling on the floor this time!
Parisian Shopping Paradise
Speaking of tutus, I had to get myself a new one for my Paris trip! Now, where else to find the perfect tutu but at the world-famous Galeries Lafayette. It's a multi-level department store, but their top floor is dedicated to beauty and fashion, with a stunning stained-glass dome. The fashion section is so stylish! It’s like a dreamland for lovers of chic and luxurious clothing! I finally found the perfect tutu, a soft blush pink with delicate ruffles! It’s just what I need to make a real statement in Paris.
A Parisian Cafe Experience
After all that shopping, we had to grab a coffee (or should I say café au lait!) at one of the quaint little cafes around the Champs-Élysées. I was totally smitten with a charming cafe called Le Boudoir – a perfect place to people-watch with a delicious croissant.
It's moments like these, sipping coffee in a bustling Parisian cafe with a delicate croissant in hand, that truly make this city so magical. And to top it off, I even managed to score a gorgeous vintage brooch at a nearby shop for a super stylish Parisian look.
Let’s talk French food…
As we all know, France is renowned for its delectable cuisine. But have you ever tasted their cheeses?!
After our cafe stop, we went cheese tasting at Fromagerie Laurent Dubois. They offer a stunning array of cheeses from around France, and let me tell you, their Brie de Meaux is like a taste of heaven! It was creamy, buttery, and truly divine! I highly recommend adding this cheese tasting to your Paris itinerary. It was truly a unique Parisian experience.
Ending the Day in Style…
We topped off this delicious Parisian day with a dinner at the chicest restaurant I've ever been to. It was in the heart of Le Marais, a charming district full of trendy boutiques, quaint cafes and stunning historical buildings. I was absolutely smitten with Le Bouillon Chartier, a traditional bistro serving the best, most affordable French cuisine. I tried La Tarte Tatin, a delicious apple tart served warm, which paired beautifully with the buttery taste of the cheeses from earlier.
It's definitely been a busy day filled with amazing memories, but tomorrow holds more exciting adventures! I can’t wait to see what Paris has in store for me!
Until next time,

Pink Tutu Paris: Day 3 - Oh, So French! (Post #1032)
Bon Jour, my loves! It’s another beautiful day in the City of Love! The sunshine is warm, the sky is clear, and my heart is full of Parisian magic.
My biggest dream yesterday? A real-life French picnic in the Jardin du Luxembourg! Oh my, the lush greenery, the playful fountain, the delicious picnic basket full of homemade delicacies – what a dream!
You simply can't visit Paris without a picnic! And we chose this beautiful park – an oasis of calm right in the heart of the city.
The best part of our Parisian picnic? A perfectly pink tutu, of course! You can't imagine the pictures, the laughter, and the twirling. Paris looked extra beautiful with a dash of pink!
French Fashion Frenzy!
Parisian style! I know you’re wondering all about it, and believe me, it’s been on my mind too! It’s like effortless chic but with a little Parisian sass. We started our Parisian style hunt in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés district and quickly discovered some charming boutiques tucked away in small side streets.
I simply fell in love with the shop Frenchy and Chic. The name says it all! I’ve snagged some incredible vintage pieces – from beautiful silk scarves to gorgeous vintage handbags and hats. Each piece is unique, with the kind of Parisian elegance you just can't find anywhere else.
Beyond the Tourist Trail
Yesterday wasn't just about fashion and picnics. I wanted to experience the heart of the city, beyond the well-known landmarks.
The charming Le Marais district became my go-to spot for the day, full of quaint cafes, historic churches, and the most amazing street art. The murals are incredible, showcasing everything from pop art to graffiti to abstract expressions of the Parisian soul.
A Taste of Parisian Delights
But of course, no Parisian adventure would be complete without food. This time, we indulged in a delightful French pastry afternoon tea. Imagine, beautiful pastries with colourful toppings and creamy cups of steaming hot chocolate.
This afternoon tea was so divine it’s been my biggest indulgence of the trip, and the ultimate Paris pastry experience! If you’re ever in Paris, you need to go find a lovely café that offers a French tea! It’s a delightful Parisian tradition that you have to try.
My Pink Tutu Parisian Fashion Inspiration
Speaking of traditions, let's talk about my biggest Parisian fashion inspiration. It’s that quintessential Parisian vibe – a perfect mix of sophisticated chic, playful touches and the irresistible allure of a truly timeless style. My biggest tip? Don’t be afraid to mix and match, experiment with textures, and of course, a bit of sparkle – think beautiful brooches and a bit of bling on a bag. And a tiny bit of pink, just to embrace my Pink Tutu essence, naturally.
This week’s Pink Tutu blog post will be all about the perfect Paris outfit. I’ve gathered all my style tips, favourite Parisian pieces and tricks for creating your own Parisian looks – get ready to make a style statement, my loves!
I’m already looking forward to more adventures tomorrow in Paris, especially after a fantastic afternoon. The city keeps pulling me back with its unique blend of history, culture, and chic vibes!
