#PinkTutuBlogParis - Saturday 2019-12-07: Exploring the City of Lights!

Hello, darlings! It’s Emma here, bringing you another installment from my #PinkTutuBlogParis adventure, this time a whopping post number 1041!

As you know, Paris is a city that truly sings to my fashion-loving soul, and I was so excited to be back in this captivating city! After all, it was time to unleash my inner Parisian chic - with a touch of pink tutu, of course! I'd travelled by Eurostar - what could be more glamorous? I adore the feeling of zipping through Europe, watching the world go by from the comfort of a plush carriage, with a steaming cuppa in hand. It feels like stepping into a romantic movie!

Now, this week in Paris was all about embracing the city’s magic, and my diary is bursting with exciting events. It started with a trip to the Palais Garnier - oh, darling, the architecture is just breath-taking! Its opulent grandeur is like a gilded dream, a perfect setting for ballet and the art of storytelling through dance. Speaking of which, that evening, I was whisked away to a breathtaking ballet performance by the renowned Paris Opera Ballet.

This particular ballet was called “The Sleeping Beauty.” Just picturing those gorgeous costumes and the graceful movements...pure perfection! The delicate story, the magical sets, and the sheer artistry made it an unforgettable evening. The pink tutu and I simply shone, soaking up the magic of it all! You know, it makes me think about how dancing has always been more than a hobby for me; it's a language of the soul, a way to express oneself without speaking. It's also how I fund these exciting travels - my ballet performances keep me dancing and travelling the world.

My next stop was a must for every fashionista - the Rue de Rivoli! That charming street, with its beautiful shops and breathtaking window displays, had me utterly entranced. You've got the grand arcades like Galerie Vivienne with its stained glass and mosaic floor, the quirky vintage shops on Rue de Charonne, and the classic boutiques that are staples on the Champs-ÉlysĂ©es - truly, something for every style and budget.

As for my purchases? Well, darling, I couldn't resist a little something for myself and my Pink Tutu Blog wardrobe. I scored the most divine pink cashmere sweater, and a perfectly-fitting black pencil skirt with some adorable pearl detailing - it was begging to be worn to a fancy Parisian tea party! I also treated myself to a beautiful handmade French straw hat adorned with a tiny silk pink bow, just whispering sophistication. You know, those tiny details are what take an outfit from "nice" to "absolutely stunning!"

After all that shopping, a leisurely walk along the Seine was in order. It's magical! It’s a truly romantic setting where you can soak up the atmosphere, maybe stop for a charming afternoon tea at a little cafe on the riverbank.

Sunday saw me wandering through the streets of Montmartre. It’s such an artistic haven! It has breathtaking views from SacrĂ©-CƓur Basilica, art galleries brimming with talent, street artists showcasing their skills - you never know what you're going to stumble upon in this part of Paris! There’s an energy in Montmartre that just can’t be captured, it has to be experienced.

One of the highlights of the weekend was my evening at the ThĂ©Ăątre du ChĂątelet! The play was a whimsical comedic play that had me laughing until my stomach hurt. Watching it all unfold in that magnificent venue, with its intricate decor, ornate lighting and plush red seats, felt like I’d stepped into a play by Moliere! It truly encapsulated the classic Parisian charm I had come to adore.

Darling, I promise you, my trip to Paris was pure bliss! Filled with stunning sights, delicious food (so much delicious pain au chocolat!), delightful shopping sprees, captivating art, and the undeniable Parisian flair. You just can’t help but feel like the world is a little brighter when you’re in the City of Lights.

And remember, my darlings: if a simple pink tutu can make a girl's dreams come true, imagine what a touch of pink and a lot of adventure can do for you!
