#PinkTutuBlogParis: Bonjour from the City of Lights! (Post #1053)

Saturday 29th February 2020

Ooh la la, darlings! Emma here, back from another whirlwind adventure, this time from the utterly fabulous city of Paris! This week I traded the Derbyshire countryside for cobbled Parisian streets, my comfy ballet slippers for a pair of chic ankle boots, and my usual pink tutu for a Parisian-inspired creation in a delicious shade of blush pink (you’ll just have to wait for the pics!).

Honestly, just saying the word "Paris" makes me feel all tingly and giddy inside. This city is just so effortlessly chic, it makes my heart flutter! But don't worry, you won't find me twirling through the Louvre in my tutu just yet (although the idea is so tempting!). I'm on a mission, my darlings, to soak up every Parisian delight and bring you the very best bits for your own Pink Tutu Adventures!

Journey of a Thousand Pink Tutus (aka the EuroStar)

I boarded the EuroStar this morning, armed with my usual travel essentials – a fluffy pink teddy bear, a copy of Swan Lake to inspire my creative spirit, and a brand new pink travel tutu, of course! My darling, there's something about hurtling through tunnels, the landscape whizzing by in a blur, that really gets the creative juices flowing. Maybe it's the rhythm of the train, or perhaps it’s the sense of adventure, but my head was already swirling with ideas for my next ballet-inspired outfit before we even crossed the channel!

Bonjour from my Parisian Pad

Speaking of adventures, I've managed to bag myself a little slice of Parisian paradise – a charming apartment right in the heart of the Marais. It's absolutely divine, with floral wallpaper, a balcony overlooking a courtyard, and a chandelier that wouldn't look out of place in a grand Parisian theatre. Best of all, it's a stone's throw from all the fabulous shops and cafes I’m itching to explore!

Today's Menu: A Parisian Pink Indulgence

The first thing on the agenda, my darlings? You guessed it - a little indulgence at a classic Parisian tea salon! It was a dream come true. Pink macarons, tiny delicate sandwiches, and a pot of tea brewed to perfection – honestly, what could be more perfectly Parisian? My cheeks were rosy from all the sugar, and my tummy was happy as can be!

Ballet Bliss and Theatrical Delights

No trip to Paris is complete without a bit of ballet, is it? So tonight, I'm seeing the Boléro at the Théâtre du Châtelet. This classic, and ever-so-slightly daring piece has always captivated me, with its intricate choreography and emotional depth. I can already feel the magic taking over! Afterward, I’m heading to a fabulous jazz club to listen to some incredible live music – I’m sure I’ll be channeling my inner dancer all night long.

The Parisian Wardrobe Chronicles

Of course, no Parisian adventure is complete without some retail therapy. This morning, I stumbled upon the most gorgeous vintage shop brimming with velvet jackets, whimsical dresses, and that Parisian chic. I’ve been searching high and low for a velvet beret, and guess what? I finally found it! Now, to match it with a pink tutu and a pair of boots, naturally.

On My Pink Tutu Radar

The coming days are filled with adventures. A stroll through the Jardin des Tuileries (tutu and all!), a picnic under the Eiffel Tower (with pink champagne, naturally!), a whirlwind exploration of the Louvre (maybe with a tutu twist?), and of course, more shopping! And yes, darling, you'll be the first to hear about every delightful discovery and glamorous outfit - check back next Saturday for all the details!

Parisian Love & Pink Tutu Kisses,

Emma xoxo
