Hello darlings! It's your favourite pink-loving ballerina, Emma, back with another Parisian adventure! This week, I'm bringing you all the frills, fun and fabulousness from my recent trip to the City of Lights. It was pure magic, just like a dream come true, and I'm bursting with excitement to share it all with you!
As you all know, I adore travelling by train. It's such a romantic way to journey, letting the landscape slip by as you soak up the atmosphere and the excitement building up for your destination. This time, I boarded the EuroStar in London and, in just a few short hours, found myself gliding into the heart of Paris, where the city's enchanting charm had me completely captivated.
My Parisian Ballet Adventures
Speaking of enchantment, Paris is absolutely teeming with world-class ballet performances, and I was determined to indulge in every single one I could. On this particular trip, I caught the breathtaking Paris Opera Ballet performing “The Sleeping Beauty” at the magnificent Palais Garnier. Imagine the most exquisite sets, costumes that were fit for royalty and dancers whose grace seemed to defy gravity – it was truly a magical experience. Their interpretation of the story was so emotive and beautifully performed that I was transported into a fairytale world for the duration of the performance.
Shopping Spree in Le Marais
No trip to Paris is complete without a bit of shopping! On this trip, I treated myself to a few new pink treasures in the chic boutiques of Le Marais. This area of Paris is known for its unique shops, charming cafés and vibrant art scene.
Let me tell you, it’s a shopaholic's paradise. The shop windows are just overflowing with beautiful clothes and accessories, and you can feel the history and fashion of Paris in the very air you breathe! My favourite find? A delightful hand-painted pink tutu with silver embellishments. It’s a masterpiece of sheer artistry!

But of course, what is a trip to Paris without the perfect outfit? And you can be sure that mine was a spectacularly pink affair! Think a dreamy, billowing pale pink maxi dress, delicately layered over a classic pink tulle tutu, adorned with a dainty pink floral corsage. My hair was styled into a romantic updo, encircled by a stunning pink satin ribbon. The finishing touch? A pair of blush-hued ballerina flats, because comfort is always key for me.
Dinner at La Cigale Récamier
To end my first day in Paris on a delicious note, I enjoyed a divine dinner at La Cigale Récamier, a charming and traditional restaurant in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés district. This charming bistro is a Parisian institution, offering classic French dishes like succulent steak frites, tender poulet rôti, and delectable crêpes for dessert. It’s the perfect place to indulge in delicious food, and of course, I enjoyed a delicious glass of pink champagne, because what’s a Parisian dinner without a touch of pink magic?
Fashioning a Life I Love
My days were filled with exploring Parisian culture and reveling in the beauty that surrounds me, but in between all the excitement, I spent some time reflecting. This life - with my blog, my travels, and my dancing - is everything I have ever dreamed of. I wouldn’t change a single thing.
