#PinkTutuBlogParis - Saturday 2020-09-19 Exploring Paris

Bonjour mes amies! It's Saturday, which means it's time for another Parisian adventure from your favourite tutu-clad traveller - yours truly! This week I've packed my bags, hopped on the EuroStar, and whisked myself off to the City of Lights, a destination that always makes my heart beat a little faster, and my pink tutu twirl a little brighter.

This time around, I'm in the mood for romance, vintage charm, and endless opportunities for some seriously chic outfit snaps! Who can resist a Parisian day filled with coffee, croissants, and maybe even a little haute couture shopping? (Ahem, maybe a pink tutu would look fabulous paired with a new Chanel bag? Just a thought...)

Let's get straight into the Parisian delights, shall we?

Stepping off the EuroStar at the Gare du Nord is like entering a fairytale. The station is full of historical charm, buzzing with energy, and brimming with the promise of an incredible weekend! My trusty pink tutu swished merrily as I collected my luggage and caught the Metro, ready to delve into the Parisian heart!

The French capital has always been my favourite city to explore on foot, especially when wearing a statement pink tutu, like my current fave, with delicate floral embellishments. Paris simply thrives on the unexpected and whimsical, and it feels like every corner could lead to a hidden treasure!

Lunch today was a total treat at Le Bouillon Chartier, a grand, old-world bistro near the Gare du Nord. With high ceilings, ornate décor, and an incredible, bustling atmosphere, this place is pure Parisian magic. Of course, no French experience is complete without indulging in a delicious "menu du jour," and I was completely delighted by my creamy mushroom soup and succulent steak!

A must-have, my dears? The "Grand-Cru" Bordeaux red wine. It was simply divine! My glass paired beautifully with the Parisian sunset through the grand windows, making me feel like I was in a vintage Parisian movie!

After lunch, I jumped on the Metro and ventured to Montmartre, the legendary "artists' hill." The atmosphere here is magical - bustling with creativity and charming bohemian vibes. I wandered past quaint cafes, charming bookstores, and, of course, admired the breathtaking views from Sacré-Coeur basilica! It really felt like I stepped right into a scene from a romantic comedy!

Just a little side note for any fellow tutu-lovers - a pink tutu absolutely shines under the twinkling lights of Paris, particularly against the historic backdrop of Montmartre. It's the perfect outfit for attracting a few admiring glances and starting some fabulous Parisian conversations!

Speaking of conversations, what would a Parisian weekend be without a visit to the theatre? Tonight I’m treating myself to a performance of "Romeo and Juliet," one of my all-time favourite plays. I simply adore the raw passion and timeless romance. What could be more perfect than an evening of theatre with my favourite pink tutu and a stylish, Parisian red lip?

My love for pink tutus and fabulous outfits has got me exploring Paris for some seriously chic finds. The boutiques around here are filled with delightful details and unique treasures. I have my eyes set on a vintage Dior scarf in the most glorious shade of pink, and maybe even a pair of delicate ballet flats adorned with pearls. It's all about finding the perfect piece to accentuate your personal style!

And, of course, the shops are always the perfect excuse to showcase my pink tutus. I even caught the attention of a stylish French fashion blogger who praised my "Audacious Tutu Look." You should have seen the envious stares from other Parisian ladies. I feel so confident, free, and wonderfully twirling in this Parisian playground of style!

This weekend, I also want to try one of Paris's incredible ballet classes. I love the energy, grace, and artistic expression of this incredible art form. I’ve been dreaming of dancing in a Parisian studio since I first fell in love with ballet in Derbyshire, England. Of course, what's a perfect Parisian night out after a wonderful ballet class but an evening at a Parisian Bistro? There’s just something about the romance and ambience of Parisian dining - the warm, flickering candlelight, the rich aromas of classic French cuisine, and, naturally, the vibrant energy of the Parisian night. It's a chance to revel in the charm and culture of this incredible city, especially while indulging in a delicious dinner and sipping a glass of French red wine.

Travelling to Paris by EuroStar always adds to the magic of my trip. It's the ultimate romantic escape! The plush seats, the comforting train sounds, and the scenic countryside views all inspire a sense of peaceful calm and excited anticipation. I usually settle down with a captivating novel (something vintage or romantic, naturally), indulge in a warm cup of tea (with a drop of milk, of course!), and, as usual, wear my favourite pink tutu for the ultimate travelling style!

Honestly, my dears, you’ll find me making impromptu pirouettes on the train!

Whether I’m dancing through the streets or enjoying a delightful meal, a pink tutu is always a welcome companion. Paris simply enhances its whimsy and femininity! There’s just something about this shade that brings an extra dose of charm and confidence to my Parisian style. Plus, I've noticed, it turns heads! You'll see, if you want to spread joy and smiles in Paris, don’t forget a pop of pink, or better yet, a fully-fledged pink tutu!
