Bonjour from Paris! (Post #1109) 🩰💖🇫🇷

Well hello my lovely tutu-wearers! It’s Saturday, the sun is shining and I'm currently writing this blog post from the chicest city in the world... Paris! 🗼 It feels surreal to be back in this magnificent metropolis. The last time I was here was in 2019, and I've been yearning for the cobblestone streets, the romantic cafes, and of course, the fabulous fashion ever since!

As always, I made the journey by EuroStar. The journey itself is almost as magical as the destination! Something about gliding through the English Channel makes me feel like a ballerina, except I'm wearing a rather less glamorous train-style outfit than my usual tutus... 🚄

Today I want to share some highlights of my first full day in the City of Lights. Oh, it's already been an adventure! Buckle up your pink tutus, darling, this one's gonna be a good one.

From Ballet to Bonjour:

I'm staying at the most adorable hotel, just a stone's throw from the Opera Garnier. Can you imagine? It's a real Parisian dream, with ornate ceilings, a plush lobby, and, of course, an entire corner dedicated to the finest selection of French pastries (which, by the way, I had for breakfast this morning - my excuse? A "healthy" start to the day for a long day of walking). 🥐

As it was Saturday morning, I took the opportunity to have a little treat for myself - an indulgent ballet class at the Paris Opera Ballet! It was everything a ballet girl could ever dream of! Beautiful studio, amazing instructors, and best of all - a glorious pink tutu in the most delicious shade of pink (my inner ballerina was thrilled!). Even though I’m usually on the stage, getting to take a class felt incredibly empowering - I swear, every movement flowed with a bit more magic when I'm in Paris. ✨

Shopping Spree with a Pink Tutu Twist:

Now, my dear tutu-lovers, it’s no secret that one of the highlights of any trip to Paris is the shopping. It wouldn't be a trip without indulging in the haute couture and Parisian chic, right? And of course, what better way to add a bit of flair than with my trusty pink tutu? (It goes with absolutely everything, even if I do say so myself!)

First, I ventured to the legendary Galeries Lafayette. A symphony of glittering windows and designer names, it's almost impossible to walk into this department store without feeling like royalty! I treated myself to some beautiful, silk scarves - just perfect for adding a touch of Parisian elegance to my outfits, and of course, they make great souvenirs, especially if they're printed with lovely scenes of Parisian life. 🌸

From the world of designer luxury, it was a short hop over to the chic Le Marais. You know how I love a little independent fashion and boutique finds, so it felt perfectly on-brand to stroll along Rue de Bretagne and browse for unique treasures. I fell in love with this vintage shop that had the most incredible collection of retro dresses - perfect for adding a splash of vintage charm to my wardrobe.

Later, I spent a blissful hour in Le Marais, a haven for vintage shops and charming cafes. My tutu-clad legs felt happy to be exploring the maze-like streets.

From the Streets to the Stage:

As evening fell, I made my way to the iconic Théâtre du Châtelet - yes, I had tickets to see "Swan Lake"! I may have even slipped into a ballerina-worthy tulle gown for the occasion. 😉 It was simply breathtaking! The performances were mesmerizing, the music divine, and the costumes exquisite - especially the white swans. I had the opportunity to go backstage afterwards (courtesy of some wonderful connections!) and the theatre was even more enchanting with a sense of hidden magic swirling around every corner.

Paris has such a special connection with ballet and performing arts. From the classical grandeur of the Paris Opera Ballet to the more intimate theatre experiences, you truly feel like you’re immersed in a world of art, passion, and grace. I left the theatre completely inspired, a feeling that will last throughout the entire week! 🩰

So, until next time my tutu-clad friends, this is your Paris fashion-lover signing off for now.
