Bonjour mes amis! It’s Emma here, your pink tutu-clad guide to all things fabulous, and this week, we're waltzing right into the heart of Paris!
The Eurostar whizzed us across the channel in a flash, leaving behind the rolling hills of Derbyshire and depositing us in the bustling Gare du Nord. I'm telling you, nothing beats the feeling of stepping off a train in a new city, that exhilarating rush of possibilities and a city brimming with excitement.
But first, let’s talk tutus! This trip, I'm channeling Parisian chic in a dusky pink tulle masterpiece that billows behind me like a cloud. I couldn’t resist pairing it with a chic black beret, of course, because a touch of Parisian flair is essential when exploring this fashion capital!
Now, Paris is practically bursting with ballet shows! This weekend, we're lucky enough to be catching the world-renowned Ballet de l'Opéra National de Paris, performing the classic "Swan Lake." Imagine: a full evening of elegant tutus and graceful pirouettes - just divine! The ticket's a splurge, but I promise it’ll be worth every penny!
Between the rehearsals and performances, I’m taking full advantage of being in the City of Lights to fuel my passion for fashion! Oh my, Paris is a shopper's paradise! I'm dreaming of swirling around the hallowed halls of Galeries Lafayette, picking up a chic new pair of ballet pumps (I’m hoping for some vibrant pink ones!), browsing for some exquisite silk scarves, and of course, getting a gorgeous new hat! After all, even ballerinas need some wardrobe therapy every now and then!
Later today, we’ll be soaking in the Parisian sunshine, strolling along the banks of the Seine. Perhaps a delicious crêpe with a hot chocolate on a terrace by the river, a spot of people watching – it doesn’t get much more romantic than that! In the evening, we'll take in a delightful street performance near the Eiffel Tower. Can’t wait to witness the magical cityscape illuminated under a Parisian night sky!
Tomorrow, a treasure hunt awaits! We'll be scouring the Latin Quarter, hunting for the ultimate pink tutu for my next performance. If only they could see the magnificent ballet studio just steps away from the bustling streets! You can be sure I’ll be filling you all in on my latest tutu adventures.
