Pink Tutu Paris - Post 1126 - Saturday 2021-07-24: A Parisian Pink-a-thon!
Bonjour from Paris, mes amies! 🩰🇫🇷 This weekend, your favourite tutu-clad adventurer has swapped Derbyshire for the City of Lights, and I'm positively smitten!
The EuroStar was, as ever, a delightful journey. It's so relaxing to be whizzing across the Channel, a steaming cuppa in hand, with my little pink notebook filled with ideas for this Parisian pink-a-thon.
Speaking of ideas, I've been dying to share some news! I'm taking part in the Tutu & Twirl event at the Palais Garnier this Tuesday. Imagine - a full-scale ballet show starring ballerinas from all over Europe, AND everyone in the audience gets to wear a pink tutu! I literally squealed with delight when I heard about it. My pink sequined one will be looking positively fabulous. ✨
Of course, no Paris adventure is complete without a bit of fashion! This afternoon, I ventured into the gorgeous Galeries Lafayette, a dazzling department store brimming with Parisian chic. I’ve just scored the most amazing, delicate pink tulle skirt, perfect for twirling under the Eiffel Tower (I'm dreaming of an impromptu street performance - oh, how I adore spontaneous dancing in my tutus!) And of course, I couldn't resist the lure of the famous Christian Louboutin shoes. Pink pumps - obviously! 👠
Now, a Parisian afternoon wouldn't be complete without a delightful Parisian picnic, would it? I found the most darling cafe, complete with floral wallpaper and charming striped chairs. The cheese was creamy and the wine divine - all topped off with a pink macaron, of course! It was positively picture-perfect, a moment I'll treasure forever.
Tonight, I'm heading to see the most exciting contemporary ballet production at the Théâtre de Chaillot. The choreographer, who’s a modern dance icon, has incorporated aerial silk into the show. I just know it’s going to be amazing - a true feast for the senses!
And to top it all off, I have tickets for an amazing vintage market happening tomorrow. I'm crossing my fingers for some divine vintage pieces - think beautiful old brooches to pin on my tutus, maybe a lace shawl for chilly evenings in Paris.
My dear pink tutu lovers, I’ll keep you updated on all my Parisian adventures. Make sure to check back in next Saturday for a new post! Until then, may all your twirls be joyful and your smiles as bright as Paris's sunshine.
Sending you all a big pink hug!
Emma xx
