Pink Tutu Paris - Post #1145 - A Whirlwind Weekend in the City of Lights! 🩰🇫🇷

Bonjour, mon chérie! Welcome back to my little corner of the internet, where dreams are made of tulle and sequins! This week, I’ve been living my best life in the magical city of Paris – a place where even the cobblestone streets whisper secrets of love, art, and, of course, fashion.

As you know, I'm a firm believer that every adventure should begin with a sprinkle of pink magic, and my Parisian escapades were no exception. Stepping off the Eurostar at Gare du Nord, I was ready to conquer the city in my signature pink tutu and a pair of dazzling, bedazzled ballet flats – just like I promised in last week's blog post! It’s truly incredible how wearing pink instantly puts you in a more positive mood. It’s the secret to happiness, really, trust me on this. Everyone who has ever been dressed by me feels good. 😉

Train Travel – A Ballet of Elegance

First, I must say, that train journey was absolutely dreamy! There’s just something about hurtling through the countryside at 186 miles per hour that feels oh-so-glamourous! I'm not just a tutu-wearing ballerina, you know – I'm also a bit of a travel buff! I love exploring the world with my ballet shoes and my trusty pink suitcase, and the Eurostar always feels like stepping into a fairytale. The sleek design, the comfortable seating, and the stunning scenery – it’s just the perfect blend of elegance and comfort. Plus, I couldn’t resist adding a touch of Parisian chic with a wide-brimmed hat and a dainty, hand-painted pink purse that I’d spotted in a little boutique back in Derbyshire. Sometimes, I wish I could just live in my bag.

Paris – A Feast for the Senses

As soon as we arrived in Paris, the magic began to weave its spell. The cobblestone streets, the charming cafés, the laughter echoing from the parks, the scent of freshly baked croissants… I was completely enveloped in the Parisian spirit. It was like stepping into a painting – all soft, romantic colours and swirling strokes of life.

We had just enough time to grab a quick croissant (a must-have, obviously) before making our way to the hotel. Now, our hotel was everything I had ever dreamt of and more. It was tucked away on a quiet little side street, just off the bustling Champs-Élysées, and its walls were adorned with elegant antiques and breathtaking floral arrangements. We could even see the iconic Eiffel Tower from our window – Talk about dreamy, right? A pink and grey scheme that brought me right back to a calming state after my Eurostar journey!

A Ballet of Culture - Opera Garnier

Now, as any good ballerina knows, Paris is a mecca for all things ballet. I was absolutely itching to catch a show at the legendary Opera Garnier, a breathtakingly beautiful palace of culture. And what better day to do it than on a chilly Saturday in December? The ballet we saw was pure magic - every movement was a graceful expression of the heart and soul. I was enthralled by the elegant costumes, the haunting music, and the raw emotion that danced across the stage. This is exactly what I’ve been working towards all my life.

After the show, we dined like royalty at a beautiful restaurant overlooking the Seine River. It felt so surreal to be enjoying fine wine and French delicacies with the sparkling Eiffel Tower twinkling in the background. But don’t worry – my trusty pink tutu stayed with me throughout the entire evening!

A Stroll Through Parisian Fashion

Sunday was all about embracing the Parisian spirit. Now, every true fashionista knows that shopping in Paris is a divine experience! There were so many cute little boutiques lining the charming streets of Saint-Germain-des-Prés and Le Marais. We spent hours browsing, trying on hats and dresses and scarves galore. And, of course, I managed to score a couple of new pink pieces that I couldn't resist. A fluffy pink sweater (perfect for keeping warm!), a shimmering pink top, and, of course, a delicate pink scarf adorned with tiny sequined butterflies. Oh la la, my love for pink is as insatiable as the city’s charms.

And speaking of pink, what better way to explore the city than on a cute, pink vintage bicycle! It was like gliding through a dream! I love a bit of a Parisian romance and we whizzed through the Latin Quarter, taking in all the sights. It’s no wonder that Paris is known for its romantic ambience! The cobbled streets, the riverbanks, the little bakeries with their buttery croissants - it just screams "romance"!

A Pink Tutu Parisian Pic Nic

There is nothing quite like a picnic on a chilly Parisian evening. With the glistening lights of the Eiffel Tower illuminating the cityscape, we gathered in the Tuileries Garden. My pink picnic blanket – handmade and perfect – spread across the ground, my bag containing cheese, crusty bread, wine, a selection of homemade cakes (oh, and plenty of chocolate!). We laughed, shared stories, and basked in the enchanting Parisian atmosphere, our laughter mixing with the gentle rustle of leaves.

Leaving Paris with a Pink Tutu Smile

We’ll be heading back to England today but don't think for a moment that Paris has lost its hold on me. This weekend has been everything I could have hoped for and more. Paris, you've stolen a piece of my heart - just as I hoped! It’s not goodbye, just see you later. And in the meantime, I’ll be back to my pink tutu filled, dream world until we meet again. I have so much to write about. Paris really does have something for everyone, especially for a pink tutu wearing ballerina!

Oh, and remember to follow along with me on this journey. Next week I’m off to Barcelona – it will be full of colour, flamenco, and the tastiest paella imaginable. You wouldn’t want to miss out! In the meantime, my sweet lovelies, stay stylish, stay sparkly, and always wear a little bit of pink in your hearts (and perhaps a pink tutu too!).

Au revoir, my loves!

P.S. Be sure to check out my next post on www.pink-tutu.com next Saturday!
