Bonjour mes chéries!
It's Saturday, the 5th of March, and guess what? This Pink Tutu is back in Paris! I can’t believe it’s been a whole year since my last trip. Honestly, the city never fails to sweep me off my little pink-shoed feet. You just can't beat those Parisian vibes, the beautiful architecture, the amazing shops, and of course, the legendary ballet scene!
I arrived last night on the EuroStar, which is definitely the best way to travel, even with my ridiculously large suitcase full of tutus and accessories (don’t worry, my travel wardrobe is curated to be ultra-stylish and lightweight – it's a real skill I've honed over the years).
Speaking of my travel wardrobe, I just have to share my journey outfit with you all: a hot pink, knee-length tulle tutu (naturally), paired with a chic white, high-neck blouse and my favourite bright pink ankle boots. I even accessorized with a darling little pearl necklace and a pink beret (it’s a Parisian thing, you see)! It’s not everyday I get to wear a tutu on a train, but this Pink Tutu knows how to rock any occasion!
After a fabulous, slightly surreal, train ride through the French countryside (don't worry, I managed to do my stretches in the aisle, you can never be too prepared!), we rolled into Gare du Nord, where a very enthusiastic, well, me, stormed off the train to explore the Parisian streets. It feels like a homecoming. My inner ballerina always comes alive when I’m in the City of Lights. The cobbled streets feel like the stage, every shop window a potential costume design, every building a majestic backdrop.
I spent the rest of the evening finding the perfect crêpe (lemon, Nutella and whipped cream – divine!) and settling into my adorable little apartment, tucked away in a quiet street just off the Champs-Élysées. Don't worry, it’s pink and whimsical. I made sure of it! Just imagine a vintage-style Parisian flat with velvet pink armchairs, a fluffy pink rug, and twinkling fairy lights. It's a Pink Tutu dream come true.
Today, the Pink Tutu will be taking full advantage of my Parisian playground! On the agenda is a serious shopping spree (it's in the name, really) for new outfits and accessories (the ultimate way to immerse myself in the Parisian fashion scene). Later, I'm planning on seeing a show at the Opéra Garnier. Have you heard of Swan Lake? Oh, my, it’s the absolute best! The costumes are just spectacular. The graceful swans, the intricate steps – ballet truly is an art form that has my heart.
I can't wait to see the shows at the Palais Garnier. And what better place to be a ballet enthusiast than Paris? The whole city oozes a passion for performance. Every turn, every alleyway is a canvas for creativity. Maybe, just maybe, this Pink Tutu will find some inspiration for my next ballet performance!
Tonight, I’ll be enjoying a special dinner at a beautiful, old-fashioned Parisian bistro, maybe even with a bottle of pink champagne to celebrate my Parisian arrival! The city truly is a feast for all senses.
And the best thing? I'm here for the entire weekend. I'll be exploring all of the hidden treasures Paris has to offer. You can bet your pink tutus, there will be plenty more to share on my Pink Tutu Blog!
