Bonjour from the City of Lights! 🩰💖 This Saturday sees me living my very best Parisian life in a twirly, pink-tutu clad dream!
You know I adore my train journeys. The EuroStar whisked me through the Channel Tunnel and onto Parisian soil this week, leaving my Derbyshire life behind for a while. My little suitcase was stuffed with my favourite pink dresses, of course! There’s always a need for some sparkly pink numbers when you’re gallivanting in Paris. ✨
Paris, for me, is like a dream. It’s the most magical city on the planet – bursting with fashion, artistry, and delicious treats. The scent of fresh bread and pastry in the air makes me want to dance in the streets, tutus swishing. 🥐
It was a big day today - Saturday 26th February - and the perfect excuse to get dressed up and go exploring. I had an amazing morning wandering the boutiques around the Madeleine and browsing the newest Parisian fashion trends. A couple of vintage pieces were scooped up, for sure, and I added to my already enormous pink-tutu collection with a darling tulle skirt in the most luscious shade of pink. It's like a fairytale - oh, the possibilities! ✨💖
In the afternoon, I settled into the theatre to enjoy a ballet show at the Opera Garnier. There’s just nothing quite like the magical experience of the ballet, especially in such a grand setting. The dancers were spectacular, as always, their movements and grace inspiring. Even sitting amongst the elegance of Paris' upper crust, I couldn’t help but twirl a bit in my seat - the tutu feeling utterly justified in that atmosphere! 🩰
It's funny how the Parisian life allows you to see things from a different perspective, even how you see yourself. Maybe it’s the energy of the city, the beautiful architecture, or the chance to simply enjoy the company of some exquisite pastries – something in the air lets me feel confident and radiant. Like I can do anything. Even wear a pink tutu on the metro.
