Hello lovelies! ๐ It's Emma here, your resident pink tutu enthusiast, and I'm SO excited to be back with you all for this week's #PinkTutuBlogParis post - number 1171! I'm currently sat on the comfy, velvet seats of my favourite Parisian cafe, with a glass of chilled roseฬ and a plate of the most divine macarons (raspberry, naturally!), and I am positively brimming with joy after a day of exploring the magic of Paris! ๐
This week, I took the Eurostar - a proper glamorous way to travel, if I do say so myself! - straight from my little Derbyshire town into the heart of this romantic city. It never fails to make my heart sing, with its cobblestone streets, charming cafes and of course, that iconic Eiffel Tower, peeking out from behind every corner!๐ผ
But, as you know, it's not just the city that gets my heart thumping. It's the opportunity to embrace the Parisian style! Oh my, this city is an absolute feast for the eyes - so many chic outfits, timeless elegance, and a touch of whimsical playfulness that screams "Paris" to me! You know me, I just had to find the perfect Parisian outfit for the occasion! My latest vintage find, a blush pink midi-dress with the cutest puffed sleeves and delicate lace trim, paired with my signature pink tutu - a swirling cloud of tulle - and a touch of Parisian sparkle - a pair of shimmering silver flats. I couldnโt resist! ๐
Naturally, my first stop was a visit to the Opera Garnier. You wouldn't believe the incredible performance! It was the "Sleeping Beauty" ballet, a pure fairytale brought to life, with costumes so opulent they looked like they'd just been plucked straight from a Disney movie! Every graceful movement, every shimmering tutu, and every single perfectly executed pliรฉ had me captivated. And of course, I wore a pink tutu (this time, a slightly different one with feathers!) to fit right in with the magical vibe. ๐ฉฐ
Speaking of magical vibes, did you know the Musรฉe Rodin has a special "Garden of Delights" exhibit that runs till the end of June? I couldn't resist wandering through the stunning sculptures and feeling the weight of history in every corner of that glorious garden. Did you know it was designed by the sculptor's lover? How utterly romantic!๐ It's definitely worth a visit if youโre in Paris, lovelies!
Next on the agenda - shopping, of course! I stumbled across this adorable little boutique called "Les Fleurs du Printemps", filled with the most whimsical vintage finds imaginable. It felt like stepping into a fairytale. A vintage brocade jacket with a fluffy, powder pink feather trim practically begged to come home with me! I can already see it paired with a crisp white blouse, my tutu, and a statement hat... what do you think? ๐ค
After a leisurely lunch at a quaint cafe - the bread was so warm, fresh, and crusty! Iโm still dreaming of it... - I decided to try out Ballet Street, which I found mentioned on a local blog. Oh my, what a joy! Imagine cobbled Parisian streets, street art on every wall, and then, a group of ballerinas twirling through it all in the most incredible outfits. Every single pirouette had such passion and confidence - truly inspiring! It made me realise that the magic of dance can be found absolutely everywhere. ๐
As the sun dipped down over the cityscape, painting the sky in hues of lavender and orange, I found myself perched on the top floor of a boutique hotel with the Eiffel Tower glittering like a diamond against the twilight. A cup of warm herbal tea (I am trying to keep the pink bubbly to a minimum for this trip, as tempting as it is! ๐ ) , and the soft glow of the Parisian lights - the ultimate romantic escape, wouldnโt you say? ๐
I have so many plans for the rest of my trip - from revisiting the Louvre, to discovering the city's hidden alleyways, and indulging in some more Parisian fashion, I can't wait to see what this beautiful city has in store!
