Pink Ballet Tutu Blog Paris France

#PinkTutuBlogParis - Saturday 2022-06-18 Exploring Paris

Bonjour from Paris! #PinkTutuBlogParis - Post #1173

It's Saturday, and you know what that means – it's time for another #PinkTutuBlogParis post! 🩰🇫🇷 This week, I've been living my best Parisian life, and let me tell you, it's been pink-tastic.

As always, the journey itself was part of the adventure. This time, I took the EuroStar, which is my absolute favourite way to travel – it’s so efficient, luxurious and relaxing. Plus, there's something so thrilling about whizzing through the Channel Tunnel, popping out in France in what feels like a blink of an eye.

Stepping onto the platform at Gare du Nord, my senses were immediately bombarded with the Parisian symphony – the cacophony of car horns, the sweet scent of crêpes, the chirping of birds in the trees lining the avenue, the lively chatter of people around me… It was a delightful assault on my senses.

Now, a true Parisian adventure wouldn't be complete without a dose of fashion, so, of course, I had to hit the shops. Galeries Lafayette is a haven for fashionistas, a grand temple of haute couture where dreams are made (and budgets can be broken). From the shimmering Dior dresses to the statement-making Chanel bags, it was like a fairytale come to life. But, no matter how many fancy boutiques I wandered through, I couldn't shake the feeling that Paris truly embraces everyone, no matter their style. So, even though I might be a bit biased towards tutus and pink, I found myself drawn to the vibrant street style – effortlessly chic Parisians, rocking their own unique brands of coolness.

Later, the aroma of crêpes beckoned me into a little café tucked away on a cobblestone street. This time, however, instead of Nutella, I opted for a savoury crêpe with ham and cheese, because you know what they say – variety is the spice of life (and, let's be honest, crêpes are pretty damn delicious no matter what's inside). While I enjoyed my lunch, I noticed a little ballerina doll perched on a window ledge across the street. It was a whimsical touch, adding to the overall sense of fairytale magic that is Paris.

After a long day of shopping and soaking up the Parisian energy, it was time for a true indulgence - a performance at the Opéra Garnier. The stage lights shimmered, the music soared, and the dancers, gracefully gliding across the stage, seemed to transcend the boundaries of time and space. It was an incredible experience – a feast for the senses and a powerful reminder of the beauty of human expression.

As the curtains closed, I couldn't help but feel inspired. Paris is a city that celebrates artistry in all its forms, and this visit has truly sparked something in me. I'm even more determined to share my passion for ballet, fashion, and travel with all of you! After all, a world where everyone rocks a pink tutu and travels the world embracing new cultures is a world I can get behind, right? 😉

Oh, before I go, I couldn't forget to mention some of the fabulous events happening in Paris this weekend. Today, June 18th, is "Fête de la Musique," a national holiday dedicated to celebrating music and promoting musical activities across the country! Paris becomes a stage with countless street concerts, free gigs, open air music sessions, all creating a lively atmosphere. And you just know, I'm already planning my outfit – I'm thinking pink tutu with a dash of glitter, of course!

This city, and the beautiful spirit of the French people, has truly made a mark on my heart. Paris, you have stolen a piece of my heart, and I can’t wait to return!

Until next time, darlings. Keep those tutus twirling!
