Pink Tutu Paris - Post #1176: Parisian Whirlwind! 🩰🇫🇷
Hello my lovely tutu-ettes!
It's Emma here, writing to you live from the City of Lights, Paris! 🗼 It feels absolutely incredible to be back in this beautiful, bustling city. This week's Pink Tutu Paris blog is going to be all about exploring the hidden gems, experiencing the vibrant energy and of course, discovering the most incredible fashion finds Paris has to offer.
Now, let me tell you about my journey! It's always a special experience boarding the Eurostar, feeling that gentle hum of anticipation as the train hurtles towards Paris. This time, I was even luckier, a friendly French gentleman with a twinkle in his eye sat next to me and we chatted about everything from ballet to croissants – he even offered me a piece of his delicious pain au chocolat! The magic of travelling really does bring people together, and the excitement was building all the way to the Gare du Nord station.
My pink tutu is, of course, an absolute necessity in a city as stylish as Paris. And this week, I'm sporting a dazzling new creation from a quaint little shop in Covent Garden – a pale pink, shimmering tutu adorned with delicate butterflies, perfect for fluttering through the streets of Paris!
First stop, Les Halles, the city's iconic market, a vibrant kaleidoscope of smells and sights. From juicy ripe fruits bursting with colour to cheeses with names like "Comté" and "Roquefort", there was an absolute feast for the senses. Of course, I couldn't leave without some freshly baked baguettes and a pot of the most delectable raspberry jam - perfect for a Parisian picnic, don't you think?
My next adventure took me to the Palais Garnier, the home of the Paris Opera. I can't even begin to describe the awe I felt as I entered this grand theatre, a masterpiece of architecture and history. As I sat amongst the plush velvet seats, taking in the sheer grandeur, my imagination soared with visions of ballerinas gracefully twirling across the stage. It's no wonder Paris is the birthplace of some of the most beautiful ballets in the world. And don't you worry, I snagged a gorgeous souvenir from the gift shop – a charming pink ballerina ornament, ready to join my collection!
Speaking of ballet, how could I be in Paris without enjoying a stunning ballet performance? So I ventured into the Musée de la Musique for a unique evening. The music was divine, and the performances by the Orchestre National de France were captivating! Imagine, twirling around a museum that's both elegant and modern, a truly enchanting experience.
Fashion is obviously my jam! Who wouldn't be inspired by Parisian chic? After all, it's all about finding the perfect blend of timeless elegance and effortless style. From exploring Les Marais, a trendy haven with its independent boutiques and vintage treasures, to dipping my toes in the bohemian haven of Le Marais, I couldn't resist indulging in a few Parisian fashion treasures.
The first must-have? A bright pink, delicate silk scarf, just begging to be tied around my neck for an extra touch of femininity and a dash of Parisian charm. And I even treated myself to a new pastel pink beret, perfect for adding that effortless touch to any outfit. Of course, I can't leave Paris without a pair of chic ballerina flats in the softest shade of pink, a touch of ballerina-inspired grace in every step I take.
Did I mention the amazingly delicious macarons? 🍰 It’s a pink-tutu essential! This trip, I have fallen in love with the Ladurée macarons in particular. With so many flavours and colors to choose from, they were impossible to resist! You must try the pistachio and rose macarons - heavenly! I think I could have easily consumed my entire body weight in macarons, and no one would judge. 😉
Speaking of pink and food, a Parisian foodie dream came true when I visited Ladurée's tea salon – pink and whimsical with macarons and pastries displayed like precious gems. The atmosphere is a delicate dance between sweetness and elegance, perfect for a spot of afternoon tea. It's no wonder Ladurée is considered a Parisian institution.
Saturday is my favourite day, you know that. But it feels so different in Paris, the city itself comes alive in a joyous whirl! The vibrant street performers on Pont Neuf, showcasing their talents from classical music to street magic. I even watched a charming little girl in a tutu do a quick pirouette on the steps, she reminded me so much of my younger self! Seeing her, twirling so happily, ignited a spark of joy and reminded me why I share this passion with you all. Because the world truly needs more tutus!
Paris is such an inspiring place, brimming with creativity, fashion, beauty and a captivating joie de vivre. It's a place that inspires, uplifts and makes your heart soar. It is a place that speaks to your inner ballerina, your passion for dance and of course, your love for all things pink.
And that's a wrap on another enchanting Parisian escapade! Until next time, darling tutus! Don't forget to visit my website, www.pink-tutu.com, for more Parisian adventures, fashion finds and ballet musings!
Au revoir!
