Pink Tutu Blog - Paris: A Parisian Adventure in Pink (#PinkTutuBlogParis)

Post 1177 | Saturday 16th July 2022

Bonjour, darling!

I'm back in the City of Lights, and oh, what a delight! It's always an adventure to travel to Paris, but this time is extra special. My heart is aflutter with excitement to share my experiences with you, my lovely tutu-wearing comrades.

I embarked on my journey from my little corner of Derbyshire by the trusty Eurostar. I just love travelling by train - something about the rhythmic clatter and the anticipation of arriving somewhere new just fills me with such joy. Especially when it's for a trip to the fashion capital of the world!

Speaking of fashion, how could I even think about coming to Paris without sporting my favourite, oh-so-Parisian accessory: a pink tutu! This one, darling, is a real statement piece. Layers upon layers of tulle, in a blush pink shade that's absolutely divine. It twirls and floats just beautifully, and it catches the Parisian sunlight with a delightful sparkle. If only you could see me walking down the Champs-Élysées, it's like a ballerina twirling through a whimsical dream.

As always, the journey was full of style. I couldn't resist adding a touch of Parisian chic with my trusty beret (naturally pink) and a pair of delicate ballet flats.

Now, darling, the reason I'm in Paris this time isn't just for the breathtaking architecture (although let's be honest, the Eiffel Tower does take your breath away every single time!), or even for the decadent pastries (I could live off croissants, truly!). I'm here for the ballet! Paris is home to some of the most extraordinary ballet companies in the world, and my week here is packed with performances and class.

You know how much I love to experience ballet in all its forms. This time, I'm particularly excited to see "Swan Lake" at the Palais Garnier. It's the pinnacle of classic ballet, and I can't wait to be swept away by the ethereal choreography, the stunning costumes, and the breathtaking performance. After all, what could be more magical than seeing swan-like ballerinas glide across the stage in a flurry of tulle and feathers?

Of course, it wouldn't be a Parisian adventure without a bit of shopping. The French designers have an innate understanding of fashion and style that just captivates me. From the intricate craftsmanship of couture to the chic simplicity of ready-to-wear, Paris offers a kaleidoscope of styles for every taste. I'm already dreaming about a new pair of ballet shoes, a perfectly tailored trench coat, and perhaps a tiny beret just to add a little more Parisian flair to my wardrobe. I just love finding little treasures that add that extra sprinkle of "je ne sais quoi." I'll be sure to post a few of my favourite finds on the blog soon!

Today, I'm starting my Paris experience with a classic, "Must Do!" - A stroll along the Seine, just soaking up the sights, sounds and romantic atmosphere. The sun is shining, the air is filled with laughter and the music of street performers, and the entire city is buzzing with life. It's an absolute joy just to be here.

And of course, I'll be documenting every pink-tutu-filled moment on the blog. So stay tuned, darling, for more stories, adventures, and inspiring outfits as I explore Paris.

This evening, I'll be going to see the ballet performance, Giselle at the Paris Opera, so don't miss my full report in next Saturday's post!

Sending all my love and tutu-ful vibes from the most fabulous city in the world!

Emma xoxo
