#PinkTutuBlogParis - Post 1180 - Saturday 2022-08-06 - Bonjour, Paris!

Bonjour, my darlings!

This week, itā€™s time for another #PinkTutuBlogParis adventure, and believe me, itā€™s a doozy! This weekend I traded the quaint countryside of Derbyshire for the magic of Paris. Yep, that's right! I'm finally back in the City of Lights, and my pink tutu is spinning with excitement! I whizzed over on the EuroStar, feeling every bit the glamorous ballerina-traveler, and let me tell you, the carriage felt positively en pointe.

Itā€™s funny, isnā€™t it, how one city can feel so incredibly different from another? Stepping out of the Gare du Nord station into the sunshine (yes, Paris actually has sunshine, shocking!), felt like stepping into a fairytale. Everything is just soā€¦ Parisian! The elegant architecture, the quaint cafĆ©s, the streets buzzing with chic Parisians. It all felt instantly familiar and wonderfully exciting all at the same time.

Of course, no Paris trip would be complete without a little bit of ā€œPink Tutu Coutureā€ shopping. The streets were simply begging for a ballerina with a penchant for pink. I swear, every store window I passed was just screaming my name!

First stop, the legendary department store, Galeries Lafayette. Honestly, you guys, the fashion there was OUTSTANDING. There was just so much pink ā€“ not just in the usual feminine ways either, but in exciting bold cuts and daring silhouettes. I ended up with the most fabulous fuchsia blouse, perfect for my first Parisian dinner!

Afterward, I took a little stroll through the iconic Marais district, where I got completely lost in a treasure trove of vintage boutiques. There were hats, gloves, handbags, shoes ā€“ and even the most amazing vintage ballet tutu! I had to drag myself away after I'd spent an hour or two trying things on (including a feather boa or two, because, well, who could resist?).

That evening, I dined like royalty at Le Petit Parisien ā€“ and yes, you guessed it, the decor was pink! They even had little pink tutus on the chairs ā€“ it was like a ballerinaā€™s dream! The food was amazing too, a symphony of French culinary delights, all presented like a beautiful ballet on my plate. Every bite was a masterpiece!

Weekend Adventures in Pink

This Saturday, Paris has so much to offer a ballerina at heart. Of course, Iā€™m headed to a show at the Palais Garnier. How could I resist the iconic Opera House?!

This weekā€™s performance? The Sleeping Beauty. Can you imagine?! This is such a classic, and I just can't wait to be swept away by Tchaikovsky's magical score and the graceful artistry of the dancers.

My weekend will also include some serious ballet training. Yes, I am going to actually be in Paris and not hitting a ballet studioā€¦ can you even believe it?! But letā€™s face it, I simply canā€™t spend a weekend in the city of dance without perfecting my pirouettes!

Of course, Iā€™ll also be documenting all my adventures for you, my lovely Pink Tutu Blog readers. Youā€™ll be seeing plenty of fashion updates, my best Parisian photos (including a few with the iconic Eiffel Tower, of course!) and hopefully, even a video or two showcasing my moves!

Follow me on Instagram (@PinkTutuBlog), where Iā€™ll be posting behind-the-scenes sneak peeks of my pink tutu journey in Paris!

I hope this little peek into my Parisian adventures has inspired you. Donā€™t forget to follow along for the next week, because I have some amazing surprises planned!

ƀ bientĆ“t! (Until next time!),

Emma
