#PinkTutuBlogParis - Post 1184: Bonjour from the City of Lights! đŸ’–đŸ‡«đŸ‡·

Bonjour, my darlings! It's Saturday, the 3rd of September 2022, and guess where I am? That's right! Paris! I arrived this morning after a gloriously smooth journey on the Eurostar, sipping on my morning tea and watching the countryside whizz past.

As you all know, I'm a massive train enthusiast. There's something about the anticipation of arriving in a new place, the rumbling and chugging, the cosy compartments
 It's truly a joy!

Now, Paris! What can I say? It's already exceeded my expectations. Stepping out of Gare du Nord, I was instantly transported into a whirlwind of cobblestones, street performers, and the unmistakable Parisian charm. I'm already head over heels!

I’ve even had a chance to wear my very special pink tutu, specifically chosen for this trip. A shimmering tulle confection with layers upon layers of pink silk, topped off with a delicate pink bow - just imagine! It’s a true Parisian dream! It brought a little sprinkle of magic to the cobbled streets of the city. Of course, I made sure to document the moment with plenty of Instagram-worthy pics - you can find them all over on my feed, tagged #PinkTutuParis, of course! 😉

This weekend is going to be absolutely packed with adventures, from ballet classes to browsing vintage fashion boutiques and everything in between. Speaking of ballet, how exciting is this weekend's schedule?

The Opéra Garnier is showcasing a new interpretation of Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake. Imagine the grandeur, the costumes, the exquisite choreography! I can't wait to see it and maybe even find some inspiration for my own choreography, who knows?

Later today, I’ll be indulging in a leisurely afternoon strolling along the Champs-ÉlysĂ©es, popping into some of those beautiful shops, maybe find a little something for myself
It would be rude not to, right? My suitcase is already packed with several empty compartments just waiting to be filled with Parisian treasures!

Of course, no trip to Paris would be complete without a visit to the MusĂ©e du Louvre, right? I'm picturing myself gazing up at the Mona Lisa in my beautiful pink tutu, I think it’s an absolute must! And don’t worry, you’ll all be able to join me through the magic of Instagram and TikTok, of course!

Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, I’ve discovered the most charming cafĂ© near my hotel - they even serve rose-shaped macarons! Talk about the perfect pink Parisian indulgence! My afternoon coffee with these little beauties might even find its way onto my Instagram story. Who could resist sharing the love?

I know many of you are thinking about travelling to Paris soon - just follow my posts, my lovelies! I will be sharing every single delicious detail: recommendations for must-visit attractions, delicious restaurants, and of course, my ultimate fashion finds! After all, what’s a Parisian adventure without a wardrobe to match, right?

It’s already clear that Paris and I are going to have a magical, and undoubtedly pink, love affair! Stay tuned for my daily adventures, because this journey has just begun. Until then, be kind to yourself, stay bubbly, and don't forget to twirl!

Bisous, Emma 💖

## *The Pink Tutu’s Paris Diary: Day 1 *

I'm still giddy from the whirlwind of this morning! Arriving in Paris by train, my heart soaring with every clickety-clack of the wheels, is a feeling that never gets old. As soon as I disembarked at Gare du Nord, I knew I was home. Home, as it were, in the most magical, romantic city in the world.

A Pink-tastic Arrival:

Let’s talk about my pink tutu – the cherry on top of this delightful journey. This Parisian pink masterpiece, shimmering with layers of soft silk, became my very own Parisian passport, attracting curious glances and warm smiles wherever I went. I mean, what better way to celebrate the spirit of the city than in a confection of delicate tulle? It’s certainly an eye-catcher, especially amidst the city’s sea of chic Parisians.

I practically waltzed into my hotel, The HĂŽtel de Paris, an exquisite establishment in the heart of the Marais, all chandeliers, mirrored walls, and plush velvet chairs. They greeted me with a charming smile and a basket overflowing with sweet treats, just as any good Parisian hotel should.

* Parisian Adventures: Lunch at LadurĂ©e and the Champs-ÉlysĂ©es:*

I knew I had to have the iconic Parisian lunch at LadurĂ©e – the epitome of afternoon tea in Paris. Nestled in a corner of the Tuileries Gardens, it felt like stepping back in time. A cascade of pastel macarons, the aroma of freshly baked pastries
And let’s not forget the beautiful teapot that held my delicate rose tea! All surrounded by beautiful Parisian women - what more could I ask for?! It was simply perfection.

Following lunch, I strolled along the Champs-ÉlysĂ©es, a dazzling kaleidoscope of shops, luxury cars, and people enjoying the Parisian sunshine. Of course, I had to stop and browse in a few of the boutique windows – how could I resist a sneak peek at the latest Parisian fashion?

Ballet at the Opéra Garnier:

After a change into my sparkling black leotard (sorry pink tutu, you can take the day off!), I went to experience a magical evening at the Opera Garnier. It was the performance of a lifetime!

It’s quite breathtaking to walk into that legendary theatre – ornate ceilings, opulent chandeliers, velvet seating. I felt like I had walked onto a movie set! The performance, though a new interpretation of Swan Lake, took me to another realm. The choreography was incredibly intricate, and the dancers possessed such effortless grace. Their movements echoed through the hall as if they were whispering secrets to the ancient walls of the theatre.

The costumes were spectacular too - they weren't your typical ballet attire. A beautiful mix of classical white tutus and some bolder black and red ensembles - and of course, it wasn’t without its little bit of pink!

There were moments that just brought tears to my eyes. You know those magical moments when ballet and art transcend into pure beauty and feeling, and I'm quite certain everyone in the audience was experiencing the same emotional roller coaster that I was!

This day was a triumph, not just of the beauty of Paris, but of the art of dance that has always been my true passion.

* Parisian Shopping and The pink Tutu strikes again!*

No trip to Paris is complete without a shopping spree, right? That is why I spent my last hour on the Champs-ÉlysĂ©es. What a fabulous place to be after dark, all those flashing neon lights and people out for their evening strolls! It’s so Parisian!

It was already getting late, so I popped into a quaint little boutique I spotted near my hotel, called “Les Parisiennes.” I found the perfect pair of vintage pink high-heeled shoes – very reminiscent of 1950s glamour, and what’s even better - they complemented my pink tutu to perfection. Let’s just say, there was a bit of a pink tutu moment there, as I tried on my shoes in front of the mirror. It's a joy, a celebration of being in Paris and the joy of having discovered some unique fashion treasures in one of my favourite cities.

Tonight is all about my ballet journal!

The day was certainly eventful, I need to jot down all my thoughts and feelings about tonight's amazing performance at the Opéra Garnier! And, I must admit, I will probably also be sketching out my pink tutu inspiration in my journal!

Stay tuned, my lovelies, for more adventures as the #PinkTutuBlogParis continues! There's so much to discover here in the City of Lights and I’m taking it all in with my favourite companion – you guessed it, my trusty pink tutu!

Until next time, Emma xx

## The Pink Tutu’s Paris Diary: Day 2

Bonjour, dear readers!

The morning in Paris has already brought new adventures, starting with my ballet class at the Studio Ecole de Danse, tucked away in the heart of the Latin Quarter. It’s an intimate, charming space full of dedicated dancers with a real sense of passion - quite reminiscent of ballet studios in Derbyshire!

I just love that atmosphere - dancers working hard together! We were warming up as the sun flooded through the large windows, bathing the room in the warm morning light. I even spotted a cute little French Bulldog napping under a table - oh, how Parisian! It seemed like an important ballet requirement, honestly!

I was quite lucky to be sharing the studio with several very talented young dancers who gave me pointers and showed me some Parisian techniques I had never encountered. I picked up some tips, you know? It was quite refreshing!

After the class, it was back to the hotel to do some work on my website - and for my latest fashion blog post about this glorious Paris trip - it will feature all of my latest finds.

I couldn’t let my first day in Paris end without visiting one of my favourite Parisian destinations, Montmartre. This picturesque, historical neighbourhood was alive with charm, colour, and Parisian bustle. It felt a world away from the bustle of the city centre, and it just made me smile.

I wandered up the steps, enjoying the street art, browsing in cute boutiques selling locally made jewelry and antiques, stopping for a delicious baguette and a strong cappuccino. As the afternoon was fading into dusk, I found myself drawn to the SacrĂ©-CƓur basilica, a masterpiece of architecture. It was the perfect ending to my Parisian day.

Montmartre Moments

After wandering through the lively streets of Montmartre, the scent of freshly baked pastries and strong coffee lured me to a little patisserie.

You can imagine my joy! Inside, was a symphony of delicious pastries and, you guessed it - an abundance of pink macarons! I bought several beautiful pastel pink treats, and devoured them with pure delight! It really was the ultimate pink Parisian moment, so of course, I had to snap a quick photo!

Later, I strolled back to the hotel to write a blog post about the amazing Ballet performance, and a couple of my Montmartre musings – it will be featured on www.pink-tutu.com, so keep a look out, lovelies!

Paris has really captured my heart, but, of course, I couldn’t visit Paris without doing something very Parisian. So, this evening I treated myself to a trip to the famous cabaret, The Moulin Rouge!

It’s the cabaret everyone’s been talking about - what better place to enjoy some French flair?! As I stepped into the theatre, the dazzling, red interior just seemed to radiate with history!

* The Moulin Rouge, a spectacular experience*

As soon as the curtain went up, I was transported back to 19th Century Paris - the costumes were stunning! I loved how the Moulin Rouge is very much an ode to the glamorous and rebellious days of 1889. I especially loved all the stunning feathered headdresses – very flamboyant, I must say.

The performers, such talent! The Can-Can was something I couldn't tear my eyes from! They were dancing with such joy and confidence - just a sight to behold. The show itself was simply spectacular, full of passion, drama, and a generous helping of sparkling fun.

Even the most reserved member of the audience couldn’t help but get carried away by the rhythm and the music! I felt a wave of excitement in the air as the entire room came alive with the infectious energy of the show. You can only imagine the thrill of it! It felt a bit like stepping back into the pages of my favourite classic Parisian novel.

To be honest, it’s one of the best show experiences I've ever had, especially in such an iconic venue like the Moulin Rouge. The glitz, the glam, the music
just pure magic. I may just be biased, but I think Paris really knows how to create a spectacular cabaret show. And, it seems I may have inspired the show’s dance choreographer. He came over to talk to me, a charming fellow, he mentioned I had inspired his latest sequence in his Moulin Rouge act! You know I had to say that the pink tutu had something to do with it - well it does add an air of magic and grandeur to any performance!

A Parisian Nighttime Rendezvous

Tonight, Paris really had me in its grasp. After the Moulin Rouge, we followed my instinct and stumbled upon an incredible Parisian jazz club with a fabulous jazz quartet and a wonderfully cool ambiance. We indulged in rich, strong French coffee, which had just the right hint of chocolate in it - I felt like I had discovered a Parisian treasure trove!

It’s easy to get lost in Paris' vibrant energy and the warmth of the city’s people. Even my blog feels like it's blooming with more colour every day.

Paris has captured my heart with its intoxicating charm and spirit of artistic expression. It’s a joy to be able to soak up every single beautiful moment of this journey - it truly feels like a magical dream!

Stay tuned for more Paris escapades and adventures with #PinkTutuBlogParis, my lovelies, because we are only halfway through our adventures!

Lots of love, Emma xxx

The Pink Tutu's Paris Diary: Day 3

Bonjour! It’s a brand new day in Paris, and today’s itinerary promises another whirlwind of fun, fashion, and Parisian charm! It’s already morning here, the sun peeking over the rooftops, and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee filling the streets. Paris really feels like it wakes up in a beautiful slow motion - It's almost romantic!

The Art of Montmartre

First up, we are making our way to the stunning SacrĂ©-Coeur Basilica. I plan on walking there today, savoring the city's rhythm as I make my way towards this beautiful historical masterpiece. It seems to capture the soul of Montmartre and Paris itself – history, culture, and pure art at its finest.

Of course, I have packed my pink tutu and a selection of very pink outfits - you'll have to catch them on my Instagram Stories, and my blog will feature an exclusive fashion piece dedicated to my Paris trip. It's full of vibrant colours and unique vintage pieces that I have discovered on this enchanting Parisian adventure. It’s time to spread some pink-tastic love in Paris - don't be surprised if my tutu catches some of the sunlight and gives off a vibrant pink glow!

Exploring the Latin Quarter

Later today, I'm making a bee-line to the heart of the Latin Quarter - a vibrant student area filled with bustling cafés, quirky shops, and a strong cultural energy! I've heard tell of some really enchanting vintage boutiques in the Latin Quarter - some treasure troves of Parisian chic I just have to find!

Perhaps a few pink surprises might even find their way into my suitcase as a result! I mean, can you ever have too many pink Parisian finds? Absolutely not! It's going to be quite an afternoon, so my ballet shoes are packed - one never knows where the dancing will take me!

I have an exciting plan this evening, as well! My day is topped off with a visit to the iconic MusĂ©e du Louvre. There's a new exhibition showcasing the work of Claude Monet, one of my favourite Impressionists - I’m really excited to experience his masterful pieces!

Evening at the Louvre

Monet is one of the artists who inspires me in my ballet choreography – especially when I use elements of light and shadow. His paintings capture a magical world through light, form, and the fleeting nature of beauty - much like the world of dance itself. It's almost as if my love for dance and art intertwine.

A visit to the Louvre is always so inspiring and energising, a reminder of all the wonders of the world and the strength of artistic expression. Of course, it’s a good chance to do a little photo shoot with my Parisian pink tutu - there will be some breathtakingly beautiful images to show you, my lovelies, when I’m back!

Later this evening, it’s going to be a night of French culture and fine food. My favourite part of any Parisian experience is the delightful mix of classic Parisian charm and new-age, cutting-edge food. Tonight, I will be indulging in some amazing French delicacies at an authentic bistro - a little restaurant I have discovered, right in the centre of the city.

* The Art of Parisian Dining *

French food is all about that delightful interplay of texture and flavour - every ingredient just explodes on the palate with a unique taste and story. It's one of my absolute favourite cuisines, especially for special Parisian nights out. I am truly excited to immerse myself in all the flavour and beauty!

I've heard it’s the place where all the Parisian foodies gather, a mix of Parisians and international travellers who know their way around food.

I can't wait to discover this culinary oasis for myself and experience a real Parisian taste explosion - all with a pink tutu for an added flourish. You'll find all the images and tips on www.pink-tutu.com!

Stay tuned for all the details from my Louvre visit, my Parisian fashion picks, my bistro adventure, and a whole lot of pink, of course! Don't forget to subscribe to my website so you can follow my travels - there are plenty more Parisian escapades coming your way.

Au revoir for now, lovelies!

The Pink Tutu’s Paris Diary: Day 4

Bonjour, my lovelies! It’s already Thursday, and Paris has been making an impression on me!

It feels as if each new Parisian day throws up a beautiful array of experiences.

This morning started with an adventure to Le Marais – one of my favourite districts here! Le Marais offers this delightful mixture of historic charm and trendy modern boutiques - truly a Parisian dream come true.

*A Day in Le Marais *

I spent a happy morning strolling through the ancient, cobbled streets, popping in and out of artisan boutiques and little shops where everything from vintage handbags to exquisite silk scarves were up for grabs. You can imagine the array of pink pieces that came home with me, don’t you?

I discovered the most incredible shop full of vintage costumes and outfits – it had to be one of my greatest finds here. There were a collection of stunning pink feather boas, a vintage pink silk dress, even a Parisian pink satin hat just calling out for an owner. Let's just say my purse was a little bit lighter, and my luggage was significantly heavier by the end of it all, but oh! What treasures!

But the adventure continues, this evening I am joining some Parisian dancers at the Studio de Danse in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Pres - and the highlight of today's adventures will be a visit to the iconic MusĂ©e Rodin. The sculptor, Auguste Rodin, really takes inspiration from the human form – a reflection of beauty and human potential - just like the grace of ballet!

The World of Rodin

The MusĂ©e Rodin really is a place where art transcends and just inspires pure emotion - especially after a morning of discovering my own artistic treasures in Le Marais, it’s like one masterpiece to another, almost a love letter to all things beautiful. It was truly breathtaking to witness his powerful sculptures, many of them in a tranquil garden, the sunlight filtering through trees and casting gentle shadows.

The garden and its sculptures captured a rare, melancholic beauty, which somehow reflects both the delicate and robust qualities of ballet, almost like a visual poetry that unfolds around you - it’s such a special experience!

After my artistic journey to MusĂ©e Rodin, my lovely pink tutu was ready to take centre stage as I was welcomed with warm Parisian kisses from my fellow dancers, at the Saint-Germain-des-Pres dance studio. I spent a fabulous evening getting to know my Parisian counterparts – their energy was fantastic! The atmosphere at the studio is truly something else, the dancers share a great love and respect for the art of ballet, it’s beautiful to see!

And guess what? I was invited to their exclusive showcase happening this coming Sunday – I will be showing off some of my favourite ballet moves to a very discerning Parisian audience! Of course, I will have my pink tutu on hand - after all, every show should feature a bit of pink magic. Don’t worry, lovelies, I will post all the highlights to www.pink-tutu.com!

I hope to inspire these lovely dancers as much as they have inspired me! It is an absolute delight to get to know more talented artists on this Paris adventure!

My evenings are a real mixture of art and adventure - tonight was spent watching a ballet performance at The OpĂ©ra Comique It's a truly stunning opera house, a gorgeous historic building with a wonderfully eclectic programme. I simply love its beautifully ornate interior – all gilded details and sweeping balconies, with a really exciting theatrical energy.

Paris really offers such variety for art enthusiasts – from classical ballets to avant-garde contemporary shows – it really has something for every taste!

Stay tuned for the updates and highlights from this magical ballet night out and the Studio de Danse showcase this coming weekend!

And don’t forget, you can follow all my Parisian escapades, right here, and of course, at www.pink-tutu.com!

Au revoir for now!

Lots of love, Emma xxx

Today, I woke up with my thoughts buzzing with my adventures and all the fantastic moments I've had with the Parisian dance troupe. My lovely Parisian ballet colleagues gave me so much love and support - they gave me so many ideas for my ballet repertoire. It's amazing how a little creativity can be so powerful and how the simple act of dance can unite us across the globe!

I also found time to spend the afternoon browsing at the beautiful bookstalls along the Seine River - they're a sight to behold - a whole universe of written knowledge. It was amazing! And I'm so happy to say I walked out with a treasure trove of classic books on the ballet arts. You know, they can teach us so much - all the secrets to classic, and, of course, contemporary ballet.

But tonight I have an amazing adventure in store - I've got my ballet shoes and pink tutu all prepped! Tonight, it's all about a magical trip to The Folies BergĂšre! It's a fabulous spectacle of costumes, dancing, and spectacular visual effects! ## The Pink Tutu’s Paris Diary: Day 6

Bonjour, lovelies!

It’s Saturday! How exciting!

I can already feel a day of Parisian magic unfolding! And I have to share it with all of you.

* Paris, a city of dance!*

It's already midday, the city bustling with an eclectic array of street entertainers – acrobats, musicians, singers, you name it! It’s absolutely joyous to experience Paris as a whole - there’s always something wonderful to be found here. It really does feel like the spirit of creativity just shines throughout Paris, like a city that never sleeps!

And then there’s me, of course! I am adding to the magical tapestry of Parisian street art, wearing my glorious, shimmering pink tutu. Of course, today, I am making a stop to the lovely Notre-Dame Cathedral - to appreciate a truly iconic Parisian architectural masterpiece.

There’s such beauty and serenity within the cathedral itself. As I watched a couple say their wedding vows, I was mesmerized. This timeless monument and the spirit of Paris never cease to inspire and amazed me.

* Pink Tutu on Tour*

I was fortunate to encounter a Parisian art teacher this morning, she said the most fantastic things to me. She explained to me how Paris had become an incubator for a fusion of dance, street art and modern artistry. I simply loved her positive, inspirational approach - she really opened my mind to the new-age wave of the Parisian arts scene! She shared my love for a good pink tutu, too, of course - so we even talked about collaborating on a Parisian ballet project. Maybe I'll start planning something very pink for next time I visit Paris!

* Parisian Dreamtime*

After an eventful morning, my ballet shoes were ready for my afternoon at the lovely ballet school, the Ecole de Danse. They are simply so incredibly talented – It is an honour and a real pleasure to be part of this vibrant Parisian ballet community.

What can I say, my dear lovelies - the days simply keep on getting better! And it seems Paris is simply ready for a wave of pink! There is no way I will be able to fit it all in to one post - there’s so much to talk about!

Stay tuned for the adventures that are unfolding around #PinkTutuBlogParis and all the pink Parisian adventures!

Until next week, Emma xxx
