Hello darlings, and welcome to another glorious Saturday from Pink-Tutu.com! I'm writing to you live from the heart of Paris, a city that truly captures my whimsical soul. I arrived earlier this week via the magical EuroStar, a journey I could happily do every day - a true treat of a train journey with beautiful views, delicious sandwiches and lots of inspiration for my tutu-themed outfits. I've always been a big fan of taking the train to a new location - so civilised and calming. The rhythmic click-clacking of the wheels seems to put the world to rights and is always a great starting point for a fab travel adventure.
But Paris! Oh my goodness, this city has it all. My Paris adventure began with a truly divine, Parisian treat – a macaron from Ladurée, a heavenly pink palace of all things sugary and scrumptious. Naturally, I was wearing a pink tutu and a crisp, white, tulle top for this moment of sheer bliss, a perfect combination if ever I did say so myself.
This week, I've been enjoying the city in a flurry of pink, of course, flitting about from one magnificent landmark to another. Imagine me, my pink tutu swishing in the breeze, snapping photos in front of the Eiffel Tower. I even treated myself to a pink berret at a little stall near the Arc de Triomphe, the perfect finishing touch to my Parisian look. The iconic Eiffel Tower, in the pale sunshine, was every bit as spectacular as I'd imagined, and with my tutu flowing behind me in the wind, I felt like a ballerina floating on a cloud.
And no visit to Paris would be complete without a spot of ballet! I took a lesson at the École de Danse de l’Opéra de Paris. It's just a magical place and I felt like a little girl in a candy store. All I could think was how much I wish that every little girl could learn ballet in this spectacular setting!
Paris, in my opinion, is truly a city of dreams - an endless ballet stage of chic cafes, charming bookstores, breathtaking museums and art galleries that capture my imagination and feed my soul. Each corner unveils another fairytale vista, like a beautifully orchestrated waltz of architectural brilliance.
Speaking of shows, last night I went to see Le Petit Prince, a breathtaking production by Le Théâtre du Châtelet. The choreography was absolutely sublime, the music haunting and magical, and the sets a beautiful symphony of colors. Of course, I adorned my pink tutu with a beautiful golden feather boa – just perfect for a Parisian ballet adventure.
One of my favorite things about Paris is the beautiful boutiques with their amazing clothes, handbags and accessories. This weekend, I have my eyes on some incredible vintage earrings in the Marais district and of course, a little trip to the iconic Galeries Lafayette. It's the perfect Parisian paradise, with every conceivable fashion item displayed in an absolute dream. The light pours in from the glass ceiling and creates a halo of beauty over everything and I, of course, wear my pink tutu in there – nobody stares anymore because everybody knows that in Paris, anything goes!
So, for all of you lovely readers, my Parisian adventure is still in full swing, and I can't wait to share more highlights with you! And please, darling, don't forget my mantra: Embrace your inner pink! There's a pink tutu waiting for everyone - even if it's just for a day.
