Bonjour from Paris! 🇫🇷 💕 #PinkTutuBlogParis #1187
Hello darlings! It's Saturday, which means it's time for a new Pink Tutu Blog Paris post, straight from the City of Lights! As you know, I absolutely adore travelling by train - especially the Eurostar, with its comfortable seats and glamorous Parisian vibes. The journey from Derbyshire to Paris is a little over two hours, perfect for a quick nap and some dreamy Parisian daydreams. And the view as we whizzed through the French countryside... just glorious!
Speaking of glorious, let me tell you, this trip to Paris has been just that! Filled with swirling skirts, sparkling lights, and endless opportunities for a little pink tutu fun. Today, however, it's not about the outfits (though let's be honest, the Parisian style is already making me want to pack everything I own and replace it with all the fabulous new finds I've discovered). Instead, I'm all about sharing the joy of a perfect Parisian ballet day!
Ballet at its finest:
First on the agenda was the sublime Opéra Garnier. Now, for anyone who knows me, this place is like a little dream come true! The grandeur, the history, the sheer beauty of the building... and, of course, the stunning performances! We caught "Giselle", which absolutely captivated me from the first note of the overture. The grace and fluidity of the dancers were mesmerising. I’m talking true ballet artistry at its peak.
It wasn't just the dance, though. Every detail of this ballet was breathtaking: the exquisite costumes, the dramatic lighting, the stunning stage sets. Even the seats themselves were fit for a princess (though admittedly, a little more pink would have made them perfect). The Opéra Garnier really knows how to deliver an unforgettable experience.
Taking to the streets... and the stage!
After the show, I couldn't resist taking a stroll through the streets. And what a delightful stroll it was! Cobblestone streets, charming cafés overflowing with chatter, the iconic Eiffel Tower sparkling in the distance, and street performers at every corner - a mix of talented musicians, majestic mimes, and even some brave (and beautiful!) street dancers in pink tutus! (Clearly, my influence is spreading! 😉 )
But my favourite Parisian ballet adventure was yet to come. We wandered to the famous "Ballet du Châtelet" theatre where they had an impromptu open-air ballet show. It was a beautiful mix of ballet techniques and improvisational elements. A delightful ensemble of dancers brought energy, style, and whimsy to the public square. There was laughter, applause, and a feeling of joyous community – something Paris does so incredibly well.
Fueling the tutu-mania:
Of course, no Parisian ballet adventure is complete without a delicious afternoon tea. Think perfectly brewed Earl Grey, fluffy scones piled high with clotted cream, and delicate pastries that would melt in your mouth. All washed down with a delicious glass of raspberry juice.
As always, fashion is a big part of my life. So, I couldn't resist stopping at the luxurious Galeries Lafayette and Printemps. I can already tell you – my bank account may be a bit lighter, but my wardrobe is going to be absolutely glowing with Parisian charm and a sprinkle of Pink Tutu magic!
The power of pink tutus (and travel!)
From the elegance of the grand Opera Garnier to the magic of a Parisian street performance, my ballet journey in Paris has truly been unforgettable. The city, the culture, the shows, the food... it's a potent mix! It's a reminder to always be open to new adventures and that there's nothing quite as empowering as following your passions – be it ballet, travel, fashion, or, dare I say it, pink tutus!
So, until next week's Pink Tutu Blog post, darling, keep spreading the love, embrace your own unique style, and, most importantly, don't be afraid to twirl your way through life! Remember: with a little pink tutu magic, anything is possible! 💖
Until then,
Emma x
