Pink Tutu Travels: Paris, Mon Amour! (Post #1230)

Bonjour mes chéries!

It’s Emma, your favourite pink-loving ballerina, here, and I'm positively buzzing with excitement to share my Parisian adventures with you! This week's blog is coming to you live from the City of Lights, where the Eiffel Tower gleams like a diamond and the streets are alive with romance and chic fashion.

Now, let's rewind a little bit. My journey began in the heart of Derbyshire, a sleepy English countryside setting (and where I’m normally found pirouetting in a village hall, teaching my adorable ballet students!). The thrill of the EuroStar speeding through the Chunnel never ceases to excite me. You see, trains are a real passion of mine - it's something about their speed and rhythm that mirrors the beauty of ballet. And let’s be honest, there’s nothing quite as romantic as gazing out at the French countryside in a silky, soft pink tutu!

I always pack at least one new tutu for every adventure, and Paris definitely called for something special. A wispy, lavender tulle creation that dances with the breeze. Oh, I just love a bit of pink in my life, especially when paired with Paris’s incredible street fashion!

Landing in Gare du Nord, a surge of excitement coursed through me. The air crackled with Parisian energy, and the scents of freshly baked pastries and buttery croissants filled the air. After all, nothing fuels my creative soul like a good pain au chocolat, followed by an exquisite Parisian breakfast in a chic bistro.

My accommodation? A charming little hotel on a cobblestone street. Not just any hotel, of course, but one boasting the perfect blush-pink façade that was made for my Instagram. I'm sure you'll all be seeing a few photos of that gem pop up on my feed this week!

Today was all about exploring Paris's magical ballet scene. First on my itinerary was a visit to the Musée de la Danse. Imagine a beautiful, elegant building, overflowing with stories about legendary ballerinas and exquisite costumes. Every corner I turned was an invitation to lose myself in history. Oh, and did I mention the incredible costume exhibit? It was like stepping onto a stage straight out of Swan Lake. I spent ages gazing at the tutus - even though none were quite as pink as mine!

From the museum, I wandered through the streets, soaking in the atmosphere, my tutu swishing gently. It always seems the streets of Paris themselves become a stage for my performance. People smiled and complimented my pink tutu, and I swear, the whole city became a little bit brighter with a hint of ballet magic.

But what was today without a little treat? That's right, I found a delectable macaron shop on a quaint, tree-lined street. Honestly, I'd do a double pirouette for a macaron any day. This shop had the most vibrant shades of pink, purple and lavender. They almost reminded me of a ballet scene, don’t you think? And what better way to enjoy them than by taking them for a delightful picnic along the Seine. It's truly a ballet-lover’s dream - watching the boats gliding through the river, with the Eiffel Tower shimmering against the sunset, a soft pink tutu around my waist and a plate of delicious macarons!

For a true taste of Paris's artistry, there was nothing like a performance at the Opéra Garnier. The ornate architecture was stunning, and the energy in the air was electric. I was captivated by the graceful movement, the sheer skill of the dancers and the glorious costumes, It's almost impossible to express how beautiful and emotional the performance was, but you'll find it captured in all my Instagram stories for you to enjoy.

It's true, a trip to Paris isn't complete without a bit of shopping. I found myself strolling along Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. My feet seemed to dance on their own, guided by my heart, and by the vibrant colours of Paris’s boutiques. They are absolutely a feast for the eyes. Think luxurious silks, velvety velvets, delicate lace, and everything pink you could ever dream of. Honestly, I found a new pair of pink ballet slippers in the most exquisite leather and an adorable, tulle-layered, pink, floral-printed hat. Just perfect for the Paris look. I almost walked out of the shop wearing everything at once!

Paris is full of endless surprises, my lovelies. I can’t believe it’s only been a day, and yet I already feel a little bit Parisian. And it's all thanks to the pink magic of this incredible city.

Now, I need to get ready for the weekend - there are plenty more Parisian wonders waiting to be discovered! I’ll be attending a magnificent ballet show at the Palais Garnier tonight and have more fashion finds lined up for tomorrow!

Remember to join me on Instagram and www.pink-tutu.com next week for more adventures from the City of Lights!

And don’t forget, every day is an opportunity to spread the pink tutu love. I want everyone in the world to embrace their inner ballerina and dance through life with a pink tutu!

Bisous!

Emma xx
