Bonjour, my dearest Pink Tutu Tribe!
It's Saturday, and you know what that means... It's time for a brand new Paris adventure! I've just hopped off the EuroStar, feeling positively giddy with excitement, my pink tulle swirling around me as I practically pirouette off the train. Paris, you are calling to me, and I am coming!
This week, I'm leaving my little Derbyshire home for a weekend of French delights. I'm absolutely thrilled to be back in the City of Lights ā this time, with a little extra "twinkle" in my steps! As you know, Paris has been calling me back for ages, and this weekend's trip is all thanks to my recent, and absolutely glorious, ballet performance - a magical evening where the magic of ballet translated into funds for a little Parisian trip. Itās what I call āturning twirls into travelā, and honestly, I can't think of a more perfect way to spend my hard-earned dance dollars!
And wouldn't you know it, the city has a whole host of amazing things on offer this weekend, from theatre and fashion to street performances and, of course, a little bit of ballet!
Pink Tutu & The French Chic
I packed my trusty Pink Tutu travel suitcase with all my Parisian necessities: a pair of sparkly ballet pumps, a smattering of adorable pink dresses, a whimsical striped Breton top, a fluffy beret (for those quintessential Parisian shots) and, of course, a variety of my very own pink tulle tutus! After all, what's a trip to Paris without a touch of Pink Tutu magic? I truly believe that Paris and pink tutus are a match made in fashion heaven ā just wait until you see my Parisian photoshoot!
Speaking of fashion, I canāt tell you how excited I am to dive into the Parisienne fashion scene. You guys know Iām obsessed with vintage, and Paris is absolutely bursting with charming vintage boutiques, with their unique finds, treasures, and stories! I can almost smell the aged fabrics and the musty scent of the vintage stores now, a perfume that I love. I've already made a list of must-see boutiques, and you can be sure Iāll be posting my discoveries, so keep your eyes peeled for some amazing finds, my darlings! After all, what is better than discovering vintage fashion that makes you want to twirl?!
Ballet on The Seine
Paris is, of course, the capital of culture and beauty. As you know, my love for ballet burns bright, so thereās no way Iām leaving the city without a trip to the ballet. I'm utterly mesmerized by the way the city transforms into a ballet stage; the iconic Eiffel Tower, illuminated against the night sky, a breathtaking backdrop for any pirouette. Iām seeing a truly beautiful ballet performance at the Theatre des Champs-ElysĆ©es, so you can bet Iāll be posting a photo of my chic ballerina outfit!
Speaking of Paris, did you know itās home to a truly magical Parisian ballet tradition? It's called the "Ballet sur Seine,ā an amazing experience where a boat transforms into a floating stage, carrying ballet dancers down the Seine. The beautiful views of the city with the rhythmic movement of the dancers is absolutely unforgettable. Imagine watching dancers glide across the river, silhouetted against the city lights, with the iconic Parisian architecture shimmering in the background. Iām dying to witness it for myself one day, and Iām certain my next Paris trip will involve this stunning experience.
Street Performances & The Magic of Paris
And, of course, Paris is a city brimming with vibrant street performances. Think musicians playing the accordion, buskers with their heartfelt melodies, and, most excitingly, ballet performances. There are many dance companies in Paris performing outdoors; itās so heartwarming to watch the magic of dance, the joy of movement, unfold in the most unexpected of places, even in the heart of a city! Imagine a dancer performing their graceful steps in a charming Parisian square, with the scent of freshly baked croissants wafting through the air. Paris is truly alive, not just with history and culture, but also with beauty.
A Weekend of Indulgence
This weekend in Paris, Iāll be soaking up every delicious Parisian moment, savoring the most wonderful pastries from the little boulangeries, strolling through the gardens and admiring the charming architecture, taking those all-important āPink Tutu Parisā snaps in my most magical pink tutus.
Of course, my trip to Paris is not just about ballet and sightseeing - itās also about food. I am planning a delectable picnic under the Eiffel Tower with croissants, champagne, and maybe a little bag of macarons, for an absolutely perfect Parisian afternoon.
