Paris, Je T'aime! - Post #1249

Bonjour, darlings!

Emma here, your favourite tutu-wearing, pink-loving, ballet-obsessed blogger, reporting live from the City of Lights! It’s Saturday, the 2nd of December, and Paris is, as ever, brimming with life, magic and...tutus?! Okay, maybe not that last one just yet, but I'm working on it!

After a gloriously scenic journey on the Eurostar, which as usual, had me swooning at the views (especially in my blush pink cashmere cardigan, paired with a fluffy white tulle skirt – just perfect for train travel, don't you think?), I arrived in Paris feeling like a ballerina ready for her grand finale.

Speaking of grand finales, this trip has been planned around seeing the absolute pinnacle of ballet - the iconic Swan Lake at the Palais Garnier! This is the highlight of my trip, something I've been dreaming about for years. Paris and ballet, a match made in heaven. The air hums with creativity here, inspiring me to twirl, prance and dream of tutus around every corner.

Today's adventures have already started beautifully. I spent the morning exploring the charming streets of the Marais district, where I found myself completely captivated by the quaint boutiques and bustling café terraces. I picked up the most divine blush pink scarf, with delicate silver embroidery – just imagine it fluttering around my neck as I take in the stunning Parisian scenery!

The shopping wasn’t over there! After a delectable lunch of crêpes (naturally with Nutella, the best pairing for any day in Paris!), I meandered over to the beautiful department store Galeries Lafayette. I always love exploring these architectural marvels and they never disappoint in the fashion department. My inner shopaholic couldn’t resist a new pair of sleek black ballet shoes - so versatile, darling! - and a pair of bright pink gloves that I know will look simply smashing with my pink tutu ensembles.

Now, the excitement for the evening is reaching fever pitch. I'm absolutely buzzing for Swan Lake, which starts at 8 pm. Can you even imagine? Tchaikovsky's iconic score, the breathtaking choreography, and the grandeur of the Palais Garnier! It's a ballet dream come true, and I'm so ready to be swept away by the beauty of it all.

I'm going to make sure to snap lots of photos and videos for you all, to capture the magic of the night. Think dramatic lighting, shimmering costumes and, of course, me in my pink tulle, enjoying the experience in full glamorous ballerina mode! Follow along on my Instagram @PinkTutuEmma to see live updates from the show.

But even with a packed schedule, Paris wouldn’t be complete without indulging in its incredible pastry scene. Later tonight, I'm planning to treat myself to a divine slice of decadent mille-feuille, perfect for fueling my inner ballerina for tomorrow's exciting explorations. I’m thinking of visiting the Louvre for some artistic inspiration. Maybe a visit to Musée Rodin? We’ll see!

Stay tuned, darlings, for more updates from Paris!

Oh, and don't forget to join me in my mission: spread the pink tutu love everywhere you go! Let's make the world a more joyful, twirly, pink-filled place, one tutu at a time!

Love,

Emma

A Parisian Afternoon

Good morning, my darlings! I'm back with you, feeling as energised and joyful as a Parisian spring day! I can still hear the echoes of Tchaikovsky's beautiful melodies, the applause from the audience and the exhilarating energy from the breathtaking ballet performances of Swan Lake. It was absolutely magical and exceeded all my expectations! I can’t wait to share my experiences, and some gorgeous photos and videos with you later in the blog.

But first, onto my exciting day!

After an utterly divine night of ballet, the city was awoken with golden sunshine filtering through my hotel window. A classic French breakfast (perfectly toasted croissants, strong coffee and the best fresh orange juice imaginable) fueled my wanderlust, and my afternoon was filled with exploring Parisian delights.

First on my itinerary was the iconic Eiffel Tower, the jewel in the crown of Paris, a sight that never fails to take my breath away. It was simply dazzling in the afternoon light, soaring towards the sky in all its elegant iron beauty. I must confess I may have indulged in a little spontaneous impromptu ballet by the side of the Seine (in my tutu, naturally) to really capture the beauty of it all. It felt absolutely magical!

After this artistic adventure, it was time for some Parisian retail therapy! I took a leisurely stroll down the Champs-Élysées, stopping to admire the luxury boutiques and iconic shops. A pair of bright pink ballerina shoes, just like the one’s I had in the shop, but these had a stylish silver sparkly trim - how chic! - were just waiting to be brought home, and that’s precisely what they did. I can already see them looking absolutely fabulous with a new, fluffy, pink tulle tutu, which I might just have bought to go with them!

Dinner at a quaint French bistro felt just perfect after my Parisian shopping expedition. I indulged in a hearty steak frites (so satisfying!) and enjoyed some of the best wine I have had in ages. The locals sitting at the table beside me started chatting with me and my blush pink skirt caught the eye of a beautiful Parisian woman. I managed to get a great deal on some truly unique antique earrings too! Maybe we’re finally convincing people that wearing pink tutus is not just stylish, but truly fashionable?

The evening has been filled with a feeling of absolute joy. It seems every moment here, in Paris, is just breathtaking. I can't wait to see what the rest of my Parisian adventure has in store for me, and I can't wait to share it all with you.

Join me on this beautiful journey, darlings.

See you all tomorrow for more pink-tutu magic from Paris!

Love, Emma
