#PinkTutuBlogParis: Bonjour from the City of Lights! (Post #1260) 🩰🇫🇷
Bonjour mes amies! It's your favourite pink-tutu-clad ballerina blogger, Emma, here, writing to you live from the magical city of Paris! It's Saturday, and you know what that means... time for another Pink Tutu blog post, filled with all things Parisian and fabulous!
I’m finally in Paris, you guys! I took the EuroStar over from London this morning, and oh my, what a journey! It felt like something straight out of a ballet, the views were incredible – lush green countryside zipping past, then the cityscape of Paris creeping closer and closer. You just know that when you’re on a EuroStar, it's going to be a special adventure.
Before I even left Derbyshire, I was feeling like a princess, all prepped up and ready for a royal tour of the City of Lights. And the EuroStar made me feel like I’d been whisked away to a fairytale land, with its plush seats, charming French stewardesses, and the scent of delicious croissant wafted through the carriage (a definite perk!) I just couldn't stop grinning - Paris, here I come!
Of course, a Parisian escapade wouldn't be complete without the perfect wardrobe. I knew exactly what I needed to pack - pink! A vibrant fuchsia pink dress that flowed with every twirl (for the Sacré-Coeur!), a pale pastel pink ballet top that was both delicate and sassy (perfect for a performance at the Palais Garnier!), and my ever-reliable, oh-so-dreamy, light pink tutu!
I'm here this weekend to soak up the Parisian spirit – and what better way than to see some incredible performances? Tonight I'm off to watch a show at the beautiful Theatre du Châtelet. They have a breathtaking rendition of 'Romeo and Juliet' by the Paris Opera Ballet. You know how I feel about classic ballet! Can't wait!
It's no secret that my travels are fuelled by my ballet performances - from Derbyshire to Paris, it’s all for the love of dance! Each pirouette, each jeté, each leap – all of it feeds my passion for exploration, for seeing new places, and most importantly, sharing my love of all things pink and twirly with you lovely lot!
I’ll be spending tomorrow morning at the Opera Garnier - I have an appointment at their fabulous ballet school. It's the most famous ballet school in the world, so naturally, a visit was top of my list. Maybe I'll get some insider tips from some of the students and see if I can squeeze in a quick impromptu pirouette or two!
But before I tell you more about that (because I am dying to share!), I've gotta tell you about the shopping I've already managed to squeeze in!
Firstly, a trip to Paris wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Galeries Lafayette – that magnificent, all-glass-and-steel structure is so beautiful, you feel like you’ve been transported into a fairytale palace! And they have so many shops… a princess could spend a lifetime here, from the most exclusive labels to beautiful boutique gems – and every shade of pink imaginable!
I did treat myself to some new ballet shoes and a fab pair of pale pink heeled ballet pumps – a bit less tutus and a little bit more street-chic but still very me! I can’t wait to wear them on a late night Parisian wander. Maybe I’ll grab a baguette from one of the local bakeries and sit by the Seine with my new shoes – the perfect Parisian afternoon tea, right?!
Then, later on, I found the most stunning, Parisian-chic pink tutu, and I just knew I had to have it. It's a lovely ballet-inspired look, made with the softest tulle and the prettiest blush pink, so it really does go with absolutely everything! It's not a traditional tutu, you know – it has a hint of elegance, but with a playful Parisian flair – very me!
I couldn't leave Paris without grabbing some new clothes and, well, some new shoes! My closet is screaming for some more outfits! You know I always say - the most fabulous of Parisian days require the perfect wardrobe. So what does a girl need in her life? That’s right! A touch of elegance! But a touch of pink too!
You know, there's a real energy in the air in Paris. It’s the city of love, but it's also a city that celebrates art, culture, and most importantly… FASHION! It’s a place where anything is possible – if you want to twirl in a pink tutu, you can do it! The city welcomes your own personal style with open arms, even if it's as daringly delightful as mine!
I can't wait to show you what else is in store this week in Paris.
A huge hug and a big twirl,
Emma,
