Pink Tutu Travels: Paris, Ooh La La! #PinkTutuBlogParis (Post #1262)
Bonjour mes amis! It's Saturday again, and that means a new Pink Tutu Blog post is ready to whisk you away! This week, we're hopping on the EuroStar (all aboard!) for a whirlwind adventure in the City of Lights: Paris!
Paris, with its charming cobblestone streets, majestic architecture, and world-class culture, is truly a ballet dancer's dream. Every corner feels like a stage set for a graceful performance. Just imagine, the Eiffel Tower twinkling with a million fairy lights, while the Seine shimmers like a silvery ribbon beneath, and you're twirling across the Pont Neuf in a blush-pink tutu. Ah, the romance!
But first, a little about myself! If you're new here, I'm Emma, and my passion for life is pretty much embodied by my love of tutus. Pink, naturally! I’m a ballerina from Derbyshire, England, and I fund my travels through performances and teaching ballet to the little stars of tomorrow. Every Saturday, you’ll find me on the Pink Tutu Blog, sharing my adventures and, of course, spreading the love for pink tutus everywhere I go.
Now, back to our Parisian adventure. My trusty suitcase (filled with strategically planned pink outfits, naturally) is packed and ready. We're boarding the EuroStar for a smooth, elegant ride to Gare du Nord. The EuroStar is always such a delight! It’s the perfect way to soak up the picturesque English countryside, the Channel Tunnel, and finally arrive in style at the heart of Paris. I do love a good train journey!
I've planned our Parisian week meticulously (because a Pink Tutu ballerina doesn't do impulsive!), and we’re going to cram in all the best bits. This Saturday, 2nd March 2024, it's all about the ballet. First stop, "Le Palais Garnier," home of the prestigious Paris Opera Ballet. We're going to see the exquisite performance of "Giselle" – I can’t wait! The ballet in Paris is simply incredible – the talent, the grace, the sheer beauty of it all. And of course, I'll be documenting it all in photos and videos for my lovely Pink Tutu followers.
Afterwards, a quick (but stylish!) change in my Parisian hotel room (hello, hotel-chic!) and then dinner at a quaint little cafe nestled on a cobbled street, complete with delectable pastries and the best French red wine (for Mom and Dad!).
This coming week will be an exciting mix of world-famous attractions and hidden Parisian gems. We're heading to the Louvre, to be captivated by the Mona Lisa, and perhaps find some artistic inspiration for a new tutu creation. There will be an elegant walk along the Seine, shopping at the iconic Galeries Lafayette, a delectable French pastry extravaganza (with some yummy macarons, of course!), and the enchanting "Moulin Rouge" cabaret.
We'll also be stepping into the grand halls of the Palais Garnier, to immerse ourselves in the exquisite ballet world of the Paris Opera. Can you imagine? It's just perfect.
I'll be sharing it all on the Pink Tutu blog, from my favorite pink Paris outfit finds (don’t worry, it'll include a couple of new tutu-inspired looks!) to the most photogenic places, the tastiest treats, and maybe even a sneak peek at some of the ballet class at the Parisian studio I’m attending! I'm so excited to share this adventure with all of you.
And remember, friends, never let anyone tell you that tutus are just for little girls. They're for everyone! I'm all about empowering people to embrace their inner ballerina, embrace their individuality, and spread a little joy with a splash of pink.
So, stay tuned, darling readers! Follow along this week as we dance our way through the Parisian streets! And until next Saturday, remember, "C'est la vie!" (That’s French for “Life is a Tutu! ”)
Love and Pink Tutus,
Emma
