Pink Tutu Paris - #1265 - A Tutu-tastic Trip!
Bonjour from the City of Lights! 🇫🇷 It’s Emma here, your favourite pink-loving ballerina, and I’m absolutely thrilled to be back in Paris for another magical adventure! I swear, this city just keeps getting better and better!
As many of you know, Paris has been on my heart for years. There’s just something about this romantic and stylish city that pulls at my tutu strings. I even travelled down on the EuroStar wearing my favourite pink tutu. The perfect look for my arrival in the fashion capital of the world, if I do say so myself! 🩰
And, guess what?! I’ve had such a busy and exciting couple of days that I could write a whole book about it, but for now, I'll stick to this blog post. 😉
A Symphony of Sound & Style at the Opera
Right off the bat, I was whisked away to the breathtaking Palais Garnier, home of the Paris Opera. This magnificent building is like something out of a fairytale, with its grand staircases, ornate chandeliers and glittering golden interior. It truly makes you feel like you've stepped into another world!
And the ballet? Divine! I'm absolutely head over heels for Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake, and the performance here was nothing short of spectacular. The ballerinas, in their exquisite white tutus, glided across the stage with effortless grace and artistry. Their talent had me spellbound. Even if you're not a hardcore ballet fan like me, trust me, the experience of watching a performance at the Opera is unforgettable. It's truly a sight for sore eyes, even if they do have to be covered by the mandatory opera glasses!
Exploring the Parisian Chic
Okay, we all know that Paris is synonymous with style, and let me tell you, I haven't been disappointed! I've already found some seriously chic and whimsical clothes for my Pink Tutu wardrobe. My personal favourite was a gorgeous pink floral print blouse with a little lace detail. It was the perfect pop of colour to pair with a crisp white tutu for my wanderings around the city. 🛍️
My wanderings took me through the famous department store, Galeries Lafayette, and of course, I couldn't resist browsing the endless displays of beautiful shoes, handbags and exquisite lingerie. The delicate textures and delicate craftsmanship were enough to make me swoon!
Charming Montmartre & a Touch of Vintage
As a self-proclaimed bohemian soul, my next stop had to be Montmartre, the historic and artistic district. I absolutely love the narrow cobblestone streets, cute cafes, and buzzing atmosphere. This was the perfect place to explore and soak in the Parisian vibes, while also indulging in the delightful and vibrant local arts scene. It's no surprise that artists like Picasso, Monet and Van Gogh have all lived here!
While in Montmartre, I discovered the cutest little vintage shop nestled between a bakery and a floral boutique. The owner, a charming French gentleman with an eye for detail, welcomed me in and showed me his collection of unique vintage accessories. I walked away with a stunning turquoise pendant and a vintage broach, both of which are going to become staples in my everyday style. 💎
Food for the Soul
Of course, no Parisian trip would be complete without indulging in the amazing cuisine! My tastebuds are already on overdrive, having sampled exquisite pastries, classic macarons, delicious crêpes, and, oh my, those Parisian croissants! The pastry chefs in Paris really are wizards, transforming flour, sugar and butter into heavenly, melt-in-your-mouth masterpieces. Every bite has me doing a little pirouette in my head! 🍰
Tutu Tips for Exploring Paris
