Pink Tutu Blog Paris - Post #1274: Oh, La La! Paris Adventures!

Bonjour mes chéries!

It's Saturday, and you know what that means... a brand new Pink Tutu Paris blog post! I'm so excited to be writing to you from the City of Lights, with its charming streets and even more charming fashion. You guys, I'm completely obsessed with Paris, it's my favourite city in the world!

This week's trip was a whirlwind of tutu twirls, incredible shows, and, of course, a lot of shopping. The Eurostar whisked me here in record time, gliding through the countryside like a beautiful ballerina en pointe. I love the feeling of excitement that comes with taking a train journey - the clickety-clack of the tracks, the rush of wind on my face, and the anticipation of reaching a new destination.

This trip is all about celebrating my passion for dance. As a ballerina, I just can't get enough of seeing the best shows Paris has to offer! The city is a haven for lovers of all things performing arts, and I've got a whole list of shows I'm dying to see. But first, let's talk fashion!

Shopping in Paris:

Now, Paris is a very chic city. But you know what's more chic? Pink tutus! Okay, I might be biased, but let's face it - pink and Paris are a match made in heaven. And when it comes to tutus, darling, I am the ultimate expert. You'd be surprised how versatile a tutu can be. Mine is a bright, shimmering pink, perfect for catching the light in Parisian streets. Just throw on a beret, a classic Parisian blazer, and some stylish pumps - voila! Instant Parisian chic, with a touch of tutu magic.

And let me tell you, this city is bursting with places to shop! We're talking couture boutiques with the most stunning designs, vintage shops overflowing with treasures, and quirky little boutiques just waiting to be discovered. Of course, no trip to Paris is complete without a stop at Galeries Lafayette, with its breathtaking dome and impressive fashion collections. I found a darling pink and silver handbag there, just the thing to add a touch of glitz to my outfits.

Tutus in Paris:

Speaking of tutus, I saw the most divine little tutu boutique tucked away in a charming, cobbled side street. It was a veritable dreamland of tulle and feathers! I had to treat myself to a new tutu skirt - a stunningly fluffy, pastel pink one with delicate sequined detailing. Just perfect for adding a touch of ballet-inspired magic to any outfit.

I'm also obsessed with how tutus look against the stunning Parisian architecture. Every time I twirl in front of a beautiful building, it's like a scene straight out of a ballet. I just can't get enough of these breathtaking backdrops. You should see my Instagram feed - it's a Parisian tutu-tastic dream!

Parisian Performances:

I wouldn't be true to myself if I didn't tell you about the amazing shows I've seen this weekend! First, I caught the final performance of "Le Lac des Cygnes" (Swan Lake) at the Opéra Garnier. The beautiful costumes and the incredible artistry just stole my heart. It was a real treat to witness such exquisite dancing in this majestic opera house. You can just imagine all the ballet legends that have graced that very stage, and it makes you feel truly connected to history.

Tonight, I'm catching a special ballet street performance, featuring a company that focuses on innovative contemporary choreography. I can't wait to be surprised and wowed! Ballet in Paris is just incredible. From the grand productions at the Palais Garnier to the smaller, more intimate performances, there's a ballet for everyone here!

What's happening this week:

Today, we're exploring Montmartre. If you've seen the movie "Amélie", you'll know it's a neighbourhood bursting with charm! We're visiting the Sacré-Cœur Basilica, enjoying some French crepes at a charming cafe, and taking a stroll down the winding streets, hoping to catch a glimpse of a local street performance. I'm also planning on snapping some photos of my gorgeous Parisian pink tutu against the breathtaking backdrop of the Basilica, of course.

And to end our Parisian adventures on a high note, tomorrow we'll be spending the day at the Musée Rodin. I can't wait to marvel at the captivating sculptures by Auguste Rodin. I think my pink tutu will be a perfect colour complement to the beautiful stonework in the museum.

You can see all the photos of my Parisian adventure on my Instagram page, of course, where you can also keep up with my day-to-day antics. I also love hearing your stories. Tell me, have you been to Paris? If so, what did you see and love? Do you have a favourite place in the city?

Don't forget to check out www.pink-tutu.com every Saturday for a new Parisian adventure. As always, keep on twirling, stay inspired, and embrace your inner pink tutu goddess.

A bientôt, mes chéries!
