It’s Saturday, and you know what that means? It’s time for another #PinkTutuBlogParis post! This week I’m writing to you from the most magical city in the world, Paris! ✨
As you know, I adore travelling, especially by train, and the Eurostar whizzed me here in no time. Honestly, I think the train is even more fun than the destination sometimes. The feeling of anticipation, watching the scenery whizz by, the comfy seats - pure joy!
This week, my mission is to experience everything Parisian in the most pink and fabulous way possible, and believe me, it’s going swimmingly.
My Paris Must-Dos
My top three things I must do in Paris? Well, let’s just say they are a mix of Parisian staples and a few #PinkTutu twists.
The Eiffel Tower in a Pink Tutu: This is a no-brainer. The Eiffel Tower is a symbol of Paris, so of course, it’s gotta be on my list! I'm picturing myself twirling atop the tower in a magnificent pink tulle masterpiece, looking out over the city, dreaming pink dreams. This is gonna be fabulous! I have the perfect outfit planned for this - a full-length pink tulle skirt with delicate floral embroidery and a tiny, glittering crop top. Maybe some strategically placed feathers too - what do you think? 🤔
Shopping for the Perfect Tutu: It wouldn’t be a Pink Tutu Blog post without a touch of retail therapy, would it? My goal is to find a tutu that would make a French ballerina envious - I’m thinking something dramatic and luxurious with feathers and sparkle! Oh, and of course, a little boutique tucked away somewhere selling a pink-tutu-themed bag. 😉 And maybe, just maybe, a pink feather boa just for fun!
An Enchanting Evening of Ballet: Paris is world-famous for its ballet, so of course, a ballet show is a must. It’s just the right combination of grace, elegance, and beauty! The thrill of the performance is amazing and always inspires me. Plus, a fancy dress and some shimmering eye makeup? The perfect occasion for a #PinkTutuGirl!
Pink Perfection - A Touch of Parisian Magic
Even before reaching my destination, Paris was making my heart sing! Stepping off the train, a whiff of fresh pastries from a local boulangerie sent my senses soaring. I just know this city is going to be full of gorgeous fashion and inspiration. Speaking of inspiration, just wait until I tell you about this delightful little boutique I stumbled upon this morning - imagine a tiny, pink-painted shop tucked away down a cobbled side street, bursting with vintage fashion treasures. It’s like walking into a dream!
Travel Inspiration & A Pinch of Practicality
I always find travel truly magical, but this trip is especially special. It’s reminding me how important it is to dream big, explore, and chase after what makes your heart happy! Of course, no Pink Tutu journey is complete without sharing a few travel tips for any budding tutu-wearing traveller.
- Always pack a feather boa! A little extra pink flair always makes any trip more magical.
- Pack comfortable shoes! This one’s for all my fellow ballerina’s! A good pair of comfy shoes are a necessity when you’re planning to explore all day!
- Pack a spare pink tutu just in case! Never know when a spontaneous ballet performance opportunity might arise.
- Embrace the magic of pink! Everywhere you go, you'll find inspiration. The way the light catches a pink blossom on a street corner, the sweet pink macaron at a café, the adorable little pink hat in a shop window... Embrace the pinkness!
What's Happening this Saturday
This Saturday is all about exploring! It’s going to be a classic Parisian experience. After a delightful French breakfast with coffee, croissant, and a squeeze of freshly squeezed orange juice, I’ll be strolling through the historic Marais district. There are just so many cute boutiques there! I just know there are going to be hidden treasures galore, and of course, hopefully a shop with pink feather boas… Maybe I’ll even pop into one of those cute little tea rooms I've seen in pictures - they always look so charming and cosy. Later, it's the ballet performance - a magical journey into the world of graceful movement and expressive storytelling.
