Bonjour, my darling readers! It’s your favourite pink tutu-wearing ballerina, Emma, here, ready to whisk you away to the magical city of Paris!
It's Saturday, and that means a brand new post on the www.pink-tutu.com website. You know the drill – my trusty travel companion, my trusty pink tutu (today it’s a glorious, billowing creation in a vibrant coral shade!), and I are embarking on another Parisian adventure.
This week, I boarded the EuroStar, leaving the charming, rolling hills of Derbyshire for the sleek Parisian streets. There’s just something about a high-speed train journey that gets the creative juices flowing. I’ve already dreamt up three new tutu designs inspired by the ever-changing scenery outside the window - a symphony of green fields, fluffy clouds, and the occasional glimpse of a charming village.
Today, my lovely Parisians, is a day for the senses. As the city awakens around me, I can already hear the strains of an accordion busking in the corner of a bustling boulangerie. The aroma of freshly baked croissants wafts through the air, and the vibrant energy of the locals fills every café, making it feel like a beautiful ballet in motion.
First on the agenda? A stroll along the Seine. As a ballet lover, what could be more inspiring than the grand monuments that line its banks? Today, the Eiffel Tower shimmers in the golden light of the morning sun. I take a moment to simply admire the elegance of its wrought-iron structure - a beautiful piece of architectural art, worthy of a graceful ballet routine!
Next, a spot of shopping is in order. As every self-respecting ballerina knows, Paris is a fashion haven, and the boutiques in the Marais district are brimming with the latest trends. I’m on the hunt for a striking, vibrant hat to pair with my pink tutu - a touch of Parisian chic that’ll have all eyes on me. A fuchsia fedora with a feathered trim perhaps, or a cerulean beret with an intricate ribbon design? Decisions, decisions…
This evening, a performance awaits! My beloved Bolshoi Ballet is in town and I’ve secured a prime seat at the Palais Garnier. It’s going to be spectacular - a celebration of elegance, grace, and artistry. The Palais Garnier itself is an architectural marvel. I can already picture myself swirling amongst its glittering chandeliers and ornate ceilings, channeling my inner ballerina!
