Pink Tutu Blog Paris: Bonjour, Paris! #1307 🩰🗼
Oh la la, my darlings! This Saturday marks a truly special occasion - a visit to the City of Lights! Paris, you temptress, I’m back in your arms again. It’s not just a city, it’s a feeling! I adore the way the streets of Paris seem to echo with a heartbeat that's both elegant and carefree. From the historic cafes to the cobblestone pathways, Paris whispers stories of love, art, and a touch of magic. And I, your dedicated Parisian princess, am ready to soak it all in.
I arrived last night on the Eurostar, such a wonderful, elegant and romantic way to travel. It makes everything feel so sophisticated! Who needs a first-class flight, when you can have an adventure gliding across the channel? The views were just breathtaking, rolling fields morphing into bustling seaside towns before finally meeting the glittering city lights of Paris. The sheer joy of travelling is enough to make my heart skip a beat!
So what’s on the agenda today?
It all started with a Parisian breakfast fit for a ballerina. Freshly baked croissants with butter that melted in your mouth, coffee stronger than a Bolshoi plié, and, of course, my essential cuppa! As you know, one can’t really live without a good British brew! And what did I wear? My very favourite pink tutu, obviously! It’s the perfect Parisian pick-me-up, adding a touch of whimsy to any occasion.
Speaking of Parisian occasions, it’s been such fun watching everyone twirling their way into the weekend, some sporting tutus of their own, others with their Parisian panache in fabulous hats or stylish scarves. Paris loves colour and style. It's a city where even the tiniest of details speak volumes. I can’t get enough of the street style, and that feeling of artistic freedom is inspiring!
Speaking of art, my day just got a whole lot more interesting… I have a ballet performance at the magnificent Palais Garnier. They call it ‘The Opera’, but honestly, this isn't just about music, it's about artistry. It’s a celebration of grace and beauty and just watching the dancers flit around the stage makes me want to join them in a pirouette. Of course, it’s my work - and it helps me travel the world, experiencing amazing shows in stunning venues! Who says ballerinas can't be fashion-forward, glamorous adventurers?
Later, after I've given my best performance, we're headed to the Champs-Élysées for a spot of retail therapy. You see, my tutu-clad adventure just isn't complete without some serious Parisian shopping! My mission is clear: find those beautiful, vintage-inspired accessories, dainty shoes that will bring any outfit to life and those whimsical, fairy-tale pieces that are a true reflection of Parisian spirit.
Tomorrow, I have big plans, including an exclusive guided tour of the Louvre Museum! How I love the Louvre, so much to see, so many stories in the artworks and sculptures! I think it would be the most stunning location for a ballet performance, can you imagine that? A troupe of ballerinas gliding amongst the Mona Lisa, a spectacle of swirling colour and graceful movements... I can just imagine how it would look. Then, a traditional French lunch! The cafe culture is amazing, so many wonderful smells and sounds in the cobblestone streets and alleys!
And the rest of the week promises even more Parisian delights! We'll be taking a trip to the beautiful Montmartre area - famous for the iconic Sacré-Coeur basilica. Imagine me, a vision in pink, posing with that magnificent landmark. Such a perfect shot for the Pink-Tutu Blog! I have so many places to discover, each with a touch of fairytale charm - and it's going to be fantastic to document it all on my blog! I even might take a day trip to Disneyland, perfect for those twirling wishes and fairy-tale moments, no matter your age.
So, keep an eye out for updates, dear friends. Follow my Parisian adventures right here on the Pink Tutu Blog! I’m dreaming in pink, dancing on the cobblestones, and soaking up all the joy this city has to offer. I'm convinced, Paris is a city that truly makes my dreams come true, one twirling pirouette at a time.
Au revoir, for now, and remember to stay twirly,
Emma xx
