Bonjour, my darling tutus! It's Emma here, and I'm absolutely bursting with Parisian joie de vivre. Today, I'm diving headfirst into the city of lights, and what better way to do it than with a perfectly pink tutu and a twinkle in my eye? This week's post marks a special milestone, my dear tutus – my first ever Parisian adventure, all funded by my beloved ballet! How exciting!

I must admit, the train journey from my lovely Derbyshire home to Paris was utterly divine. A symphony of smooth tracks, chattering fellow travellers and the gentle sway of the EuroStar... all the while I was nestled amongst a pink, fluffy wonderland of tutu dreams! (Naturally, I donned my new lavender and pink ombre tutu, just for the occasion.)
Speaking of dreams, Paris, you are truly a vision. The moment we arrived, the city swept me off my feet. Magnificent, majestic, oh-so-chic... the air hums with romance, and even the pavements seem to twinkle under the sparkling streetlights! It's no wonder the French adore fashion, the very cobblestones inspire me to twirl!
But, back to my weekend in the City of Love. This weekend, Paris is buzzing!
First and foremost, it's Salon du Chocolat time. This is a bonanza for chocolate lovers like me. I can’t wait to sample all those delectable bonbons, pastries, and artisan chocolate creations – it’ll be a chocoholic’s dream come true!
Next up, it’s French Film Festival Season, and a huge number of film premieres are taking place, from charming indie movies to blockbuster releases. There's a whole range of cinematic gems on offer.
Speaking of glitz and glamour, we can't forget about the Grand Palais. The halls of this architectural marvel will be echoing with the International Art Fair FIAC, where cutting-edge contemporary art will take centre stage.
And what would a Parisian weekend be without some world-class opera? At the Opéra Garnier itself, the stage is set for an exceptional production of Verdi’s La Traviata. I'm beyond thrilled to experience the elegance and grandeur of a performance in such a historic and breathtaking venue.
Oh, darling tutus, I've just started exploring, and my schedule is bursting with activities. But my aim this weekend is simple: Embrace Parisian style, soak up the cultural energy, and maybe, just maybe, inspire a few locals to embrace the pink tutu way of life. After all, isn't it about embracing our inner joy and finding the spark that makes us feel extraordinary?
