The Parisian air is buzzing with festive energy! Itās a Saturday morning in the City of Lights and I'm feeling positively ecstatic. The Eurostar journey here was a dream, the French countryside whipping past in a blur of verdant hues while I imagined the fabulous adventures awaiting me.
And you know what else? Iām sporting my most dazzling pink tutu. Why? Because Paris, my dears, deserves a touch of ballet magic. Letās be honest, everything in Paris is just slightly more stylish with a hint of tutu, don't you think?
This week's Parisian adventures have been nothing short of fabulous, and Iām eager to share every sparkly detail. But before I whisk you away on my tour, a little update from Derbyshire!
Ballet and Moreā¦ Back in Blighty
Remember that recital I mentioned last week? Well, let's just say it was a huge success. My āpink tutuā entrance had the entire theatre gasping. Then I twirled and leaped, each graceful move earning me thunderous applause. And oh, the feeling of that spotlight! It was simply electrifying.
But letās face it, even the most stunning performances are tiring! Afterwards, I treated myself to a leisurely afternoon browsing vintage clothing shops. I've been collecting fabrics and old dance costumes for my next design project (more on that soon!) You wouldn't believe the amazing treasures I found: a satin waistcoat, a gorgeous hand-beaded top, and a pair of 1950s dance shoes, all perfect for my upcoming collection.
Speaking of which, Iāve finally got the official launch date of my āPink Tutu Paradiseā line! December 24th , folks. Mark your calendars. Itās a perfect opportunity to embrace a little extra sparkle, don't you agree?
Bonjour, Paris!
And now, back to Paris, where I'm utterly smitten. I've spent these past days indulging in all the pleasures this magnificent city has to offer:
A Feast for the Eyes and the Soul
A ballet spectacle at the OpĆ©ra Garnier: Oh, the breathtaking beauty of the Grand Opera House, its gilded decor and celestial murals. We saw āLa BayadĆØre,ā a tale of unrequited love, passion, and sacrifice ā truly a feast for the soul. It left me wanting to leap and pirouette like the dancers!
Wandering through the Louvre: Itās just amazing how art speaks so deeply without saying a word. I even found myself totally absorbed by a portrait of Napoleon III - you know I love a bit of regal drama!
Shopping like a true Parisienne: What's a trip to Paris without some retail therapy? Of course, I indulged in a couple of new tutus ā you canāt have too many, right? And I couldnāt leave without a beautiful Parisian scarf to match my newest tutu, and a pair of elegant pink ballet flats. My feet are already itching to wear them!
Delicious Delights: From Parisian PĆ¢tisserie to CafĆ© CrĆØme
There's an exquisite patisserie near my little Parisian flat where I treated myself to a sublime millefeuille, the delicate layers of pastry and creamy vanilla just melting in my mouth. Then I sipped cafĆ© crĆØme in a charming little cafĆ© tucked away in a quiet side street. And letās not forget the heavenly croissants! Thereās nothing like a croissant, warm and buttery, to fuel a ballerinaās wanderings.
A Touch of Parisian Chic: My Outfit Inspiration
It's hard to resist being swept away by the elegant Parisian style! You can't go wrong with black and white, or an array of bold colors. But itās all about that effortless chic, a hint of whimsical charm, and that je ne sais quoi. Of course, a bit of pink is always welcome!
Today, Iām sporting a stylish black-and-white tweed jacket over a simple pink tank top. I've paired it with classic, wide-legged black trousers, and of course, my signature pink tulle ballerina skirt. I wouldn't leave home without my ballerina flats!
Finding My Inner "Je Ne Sais Quoi"
Paris has a way of awakening the artist in you. Iāve been taking ballet lessons in a small studio near my apartment. And my ballet teacher has a flair for creating the perfect Parisian ballerina - a blend of graceful elegance and spirited dynamism.
My lesson yesterday was quite the adventure! We danced to a beautiful piece by Tchaikovsky, his music so full of emotion. The ballet studio has exposed brick walls and beams, it was absolutely stunning, making the whole experience truly magical.
Exploring Hidden Gems: A Literary Stroll and the Seine
My adventures wouldnāt be complete without a little Parisian literary wanderlust! Yesterday, I embarked on a walking tour along the Seine. Imagine the views ā the Eiffel Tower in the distance, picturesque bridges, and a beautiful sky reflecting a myriad of golden hues. Oh, and let's not forget the Seine boat trip ā what an extraordinary sight to see the City of Lights from the water! I felt like Iād stepped out of a romance novel!

Iāve already got my schedule mapped out! It's a whirlwind of Parisian delights, from exploring hidden Parisian markets to discovering hidden gems, and a grand ballet performance.
**Paris has captivated my heart. I simply canāt get enough of its vibrant culture, whimsical spirit, and, of course, the extraordinary fashion.
