Hello my darlings! It's Emma here, and I'm back with a brand new Parisian adventure! As you all know, Paris is one of my absolute favourite places to be, and I always get the biggest grin on my face as the EuroStar glides into Gare du Nord. The scent of freshly baked croissants, the gentle rumble of Parisian chatter, the chic street fashion… it just takes me to a magical place!
This week's escapade is all about exploring the City of Lights in a gloriously pink tutu. It's hard not to twirl with pure joy when surrounded by such iconic architecture, bustling markets, and that iconic Parisian je ne sais quoi!
Today, Saturday 4th July 2026, the streets are alive with the warmth of the summer sun. The Eiffel Tower sparkles like a diamond, and even the pigeons seem to be strutting in their finest plumage!
Speaking of fashion, it's been impossible not to feel inspired by the incredible street style here. I spotted a stunning woman wearing a emerald green dress with a matching fascinator, accessorized with a chic pink bag – a true Parisian with her own sense of flair. But of course, no trip to Paris is complete without a shopping spree, and this weekend is dedicated to that!
A Day of Shopping, Beauty, and BalletAfter a delicious breakfast of buttery croissants and cafe au lait (because a Parisian girl can’t resist!), my first stop is a wander down the Champs-Élysées. This iconic street is always bursting with shops selling the most divine handbags, shoes, and dresses. And of course, I had to find the perfect outfit for my evening – a shimmering silver tutu adorned with thousands of tiny pink beads.
But the highlight of the day is discovering a delightful vintage clothing boutique tucked away in a side street. This hidden gem was a treasure trove of vintage finds, from floral-print sundresses to beautiful tweed jackets – a dream for any fashionista like myself! I couldn't resist bringing home a few pieces, including a powder pink hat with a delicate lace trim that is just begging to be photographed against the backdrop of the Seine!
Of course, no trip to Paris is complete without indulging in some beauty treats. A stop at the Guerlain boutique was a must – the most decadent scent of roses and lavender wafted from every corner. My shopping bags were overflowing with shimmering skincare products and the most gorgeous eyeshadow palette – in shades of lavender, pink, and gold, of course!
After a delicious lunch at a cafe on the Seine, it was time for an afternoon of cultural immersion. My plan – a visit to the Palais Garnier opera house for the most stunning ballet performance. Parisian ballets have always held a special place in my heart. Seeing those elegant dancers in their gorgeous costumes just sends shivers down my spine, reminding me why I love the magic of the stage!
Parisian Dreams & A Pink Tutu PrincessSpeaking of magic, there is something magical about Paris – it really makes me feel like a true pink tutu princess! Walking along the cobblestone streets, enjoying the iconic architecture, and breathing in the intoxicating air – it's a fairy-tale experience!
But as much as I love to travel, nothing beats the thrill of performing on stage myself. This weekend I will be sharing a few excerpts from my upcoming ballet show at The Savoy Theatre back in Derbyshire, on the 'Pink Tutu Blog' website – because you just never know, you might be inspired to put on a pink tutu yourself and twirl your worries away!
