Bonjour from the City of Lights, my dearest Tutu Tribe! It's Saturday, 5th September 2026, and Emma is in Paris! My latest ballet adventure has led me across the Channel and into the heart of romance, fashion, and of course, some truly dazzling ballet!
Paris has always held a special place in my heart. From the moment the EuroStar glided through the Channel Tunnel and into Gare du Nord, I was swept away by the city's magic. The air is filled with the scent of freshly baked croissants, the streets thrum with life, and even the pigeons seem to strut with an air of Parisian chic!
I've already begun my explorations of the city, donning my newest pink tutu, of course! This one's a real showstopper, featuring a cascade of shimmering pink tulle that swirls like a fairytale. I felt positively twirling with excitement as I crossed the Pont Neuf, with the Seine twinkling beneath me, and the iconic Eiffel Tower rising up like a graceful ballet dancer in the distance.
But before I get lost in the romance of Paris, let's talk about the highlight of my trip so far: a truly incredible performance at the Opéra Garnier. I know, I know, you’re probably thinking “Emma, ballet? How predictable!” But trust me, this performance was something else. It was a new production of "La Bayadère," and the sheer beauty of the choreography, the breathtaking costumes (including a magnificent pink tutu ensemble for the lead dancer - naturally!), and the passionate performance by the entire company, just left me breathless. It was pure, unadulterated ballet magic.
After the show, I wandered the streets of the Latin Quarter, taking in the vibrant atmosphere of the student-filled cafes and charming bookshops. There's something so lovely about getting lost in a city, letting its energy wash over you and absorbing all that it has to offer.
And what's a trip to Paris without a little retail therapy? Yesterday, I ventured into the famous department store, Printemps Haussmann, and let's just say I indulged my inner fashionista. I found a divine pair of pale pink pumps that are the perfect complement to any ballerina's outfit, and let's not forget the fabulous, feather-trimmed scarf in a vibrant shade of magenta that instantly gave my Parisian ensemble that je ne sais quoi!
Of course, no Parisian adventure is complete without a stop at Ladurée, that temple of macarons. Their rose-scented macarons were a symphony of pink-hued delights, a truly decadent treat for my sweet tooth!
Later today, I'm off to visit the Musée Rodin, which, of course, houses the famous “The Thinker” sculpture. Rodin's work has always inspired me - the way he captures movement in bronze is almost ballet-like, isn't it?
Then, I'll be treating myself to a "ballets shoes" shopping trip. It's a necessity when in Paris!

Emma
P.S.
