Pink Ballet Tutu Blog Paris France

#PinkTutuBlogParis - Saturday 2026-09-12 Exploring Paris

Bonjour from Paris, chérie! ???

Well, hello there, darlings! Emma here, back with you from the City of Lights - Paris, mon amour! It’s Saturday, and that means a fresh blog post for all you beautiful souls! This is my 1394th post - how time flies when you're twirling! This week, I hopped on the Eurostar to explore the magic that is Paris, and I've gotta say, my heart's doing a triple pirouette.

Before I launch into the Paris adventure, let's just take a moment to celebrate all the amazing dancers, performers, and theatre buffs out there. Did you know I'm in Derbyshire this weekend doing a couple of shows with my ballet troupe? That's how I fund all these wonderful travels, you see! It's a joy to dance and spread that sparkly, pirouette-filled joy. ?

Alright, now back to the Parisian dreams! This week, I was mesmerized by a ballet performance at the Palais Garnier - oh, the costumes, the stories, the emotion - I could have sat there for hours! Honestly, watching dancers move with such grace and artistry truly brings me to life. And speaking of costumes... you know I had my pink tutu on! Isn't it fab how Paris embraces a bit of whimsical charm? There were tutus everywhere I looked, from the Parisian ballet school kids to a charming, twirling elderly woman in the Jardin du Luxembourg. ???

Here are a few of my Paris highlights from this magical trip:

A Fashion Frenzy!

Let's talk shopping, my loves! Paris is like a giant fairytale shop. From the boutiques of Rue Saint-Honoré to the independent shops around Le Marais, there’s a fashion adventure around every corner. My inner ballerina couldn't resist a visit to La Redoute - the shop is simply stunning and I managed to find some exquisite ballet flats and an oh-so-pretty pink scarf. (I mean, who can say no to a pink scarf?!) It was there, amongst the rows of dresses and accessories, I started sketching ideas for my next collection – tutus are, of course, top priority. But I'm thinking something special, something Parisian... maybe with a hint of those chic French berets! ??

Bonjour, Cuisine!

One of the things I love most about travelling is the food! From the buttery, melt-in-your-mouth croissants at Du Pain et Des Idées (honestly, a bakery worthy of its name!), to the hearty beef stew with creamy mash at a little bistrot, every bite is a culinary delight. I even had a picnic on the grass in front of the Eiffel Tower, with cheese, grapes, and a fresh baguette – utterly divine! The best part is, every meal is an opportunity to wear pink – from the little rose-patterned teacup to the cherry red tablecloth. And who wouldn’t want to be the prettiest picnic-goer in the park? ?

Sights and Sounds

My adventures took me through the Latin Quarter, filled with quaint little shops and charming cafes, up the hill to the Sacre-Coeur, a gorgeous white basilica offering breathtaking views across Paris, and then to the Eiffel Tower to see the twinkling lights over the cityscape. And you just have to imagine this... all this was done in my pink tutu! (I think even the pigeons were mesmerized! ? )

And who could forget Le Marais! This colourful neighbourhood, buzzing with life and vibrancy, is like a magical hidden treasure. With its art galleries, vintage shops, and cozy patisseries, it felt like walking through a dream. Oh, and did I tell you they have the cutest little theatre I've ever seen?! And guess who was performing? That’s right, this ballerina! I brought a bit of pink tutu magic to Le Marais – just me and a small group of talented friends. We performed an impromptu ballet piece in the cobblestone square.

A Weekend To Remember

Honestly, my time in Paris flew by! And I think it's safe to say I was completely charmed by the city of love, lights, and fashion.

Here’s a little sneak peek of what’s in my #PinkTutuBlogParis post for next Saturday:

  • A Visit to the Louvre: Imagine my pink tutu in front of the Mona Lisa - you gotta see this photo!

  • Street performers extraordinaire: Paris is bursting with creative energy. I'll be telling you all about some amazing street dancers I encountered. (Spoiler alert: their skills made my jaw drop!)

  • A secret Parisian address: I stumbled across this most amazing little cafe. Don't worry, you'll have to tune in next Saturday to discover its magical location. ?

Stay tuned, my dears! But for now, it's time for me to hit the dance floor – you never know when inspiration will strike for my next big creation. ?

Love and sparkle,

Emma
