Bonjour mes chéris! Emma here, your resident Pink Tutu princess, back from another dazzling Parisian adventure. This week, I hopped aboard the Eurostar for a quick jaunt to the City of Lights, fueled by dreams of ballerinas, boudoirs, and, of course, an endless supply of blush-tinted delights!
Paris: My Heart’s True North
Every time I step off the Eurostar into Gare du Nord, I’m enveloped in a magic only Paris can provide. That familiar aroma of buttery croissants, the melody of street performers, and the buzz of energy swirling around me… it’s simply intoxicating! Paris always ignites my soul with a feeling of “je ne sais quoi.” It's as if the city itself whispers, “Come, little one, indulge in beauty!” And, my darlings, indulge I do.
Day One: Tutu, Train and Tea
The very first thing I do when I arrive is a little dance on the cobblestones outside the station. It’s my Parisian welcome dance – a twirl for good fortune and an endless stream of pink tutus for all. This time, I was feeling extra playful with my Pink tutu number 432: a frothy concoction of bubblegum pink tulle layered over a soft lavender satin. This tutu made me look like a floating marshmallow, perfectly in sync with my cherry-red beret and floral printed clutch. I just can’t resist adding a little theatrical flair!
The Eiffel Tower was beckoning, so after a pot of steaming hot tea with a single pink macaroon, I sashayed my way to the Seine. The tower loomed large and majestic in the sunshine, and I simply couldn’t resist whipping out my pink sequined scarf for a photoshoot with the most iconic backdrop in the world! The Ballet: An Unforgettable Encounter
As the afternoon dipped into the blush of twilight, I made my way to the Palais Garnier. Tonight’s performance was “La Bayadère”, and I was absolutely entranced. The graceful movements, the dramatic choreography, and the breathtaking costumes! My heart truly swooned. Afterward, I had a delightful chat with some fellow tutu lovers, sharing tips on where to find the perfect tutu, and of course, my own humble creation story for my tutu number 433.
The Chicest Souvenirs
Of course, no trip to Paris is complete without some retail therapy. This weekend, I discovered a charming little shop filled with the most exquisite ballet shoes and tutus. You wouldn’t believe the shades of pink! I walked out with a new baby-pink satin pointe shoe, perfect for my London ballet class, and a stunningly sparkly pink hair comb with tiny tutu ribbons – because, why not?
My Paris Takeaway:
Paris has a unique charm – a playful spirit, a love for beauty, and an endless source of inspiration. Each visit is a journey into the world of art, fashion, and endless possibilities.
And darlings, remember – life is a ballet, and you are the prima ballerina. Wear your pink tutus with pride, indulge in all the joys life throws at you, and most importantly, twirl like nobody’s watching!
Catch you next Saturday for my adventures in a secret Paris garden, filled with blooming pink roses and, naturally, an abundance of tulle. Don’t forget to check my latest #pinktutulook on Instagram for the perfect #parisianvibes.
