Pink Tutu Paris - Post 1406 - December 5th, 2026: City of Lights, City of Dreams

Bonjour, my dearest tutu-tastic friends!

This week, I'm writing to you from the most romantic city in the world – Paris! Sigh Honestly, every single corner of this place is a postcard moment, and the scent of fresh pastries hangs in the air like a delicious perfume. It's like a fairytale, and you know I'm just here to twirl and embrace every beautiful, dreamlike moment!

So, how did this delightful adventure come about? Well, remember how I told you about all the magical shows and performances I'd been doing in Derbyshire? They went down a storm, and I'm absolutely buzzing from all the kind words and applause. It's amazing what you can achieve with a little pink tutu magic! My earnings from those performances (and you know how much I love my dancing, right?) have fuelled this amazing journey to the City of Lights.

It's my first time in Paris, and you guys, it's even more breathtaking than I ever imagined! You know me - I love to travel, especially by train. There's just something so wonderfully romantic about stepping aboard a train and letting the scenery whisk you away. This time, the Eurostar zipped us from London to Paris in record time. As soon as we rolled into Gare du Nord, I was smitten. That grand station felt straight out of a classic film!

We settled into our charming little hotel, just a hop, skip, and jump from the Seine, and I couldn't resist pulling out my trusty pink tutu for a celebratory twirl in the room. Twirl, twirl, twirl! The Parisian light just bounced off the tulle, and I swear I could hear a tiny orchestra play as I spun!

The plan? To pack as much Parisian magic into our trip as possible!

First on the agenda: the Palais Garnier Opera House! It's an architectural marvel - imagine a fairytale castle made entirely of marble and gilt! Walking through those grand halls, the stunning decor and rich history of the building transported me back in time. You can almost hear the strains of Mozart and the hushed anticipation before the curtain rises! They even offer behind-the-scenes tours, which we're taking on Monday - I can't wait! Who knows? Maybe this trip will spark some ideas for future ballets!

Of course, no Paris adventure is complete without a little shopping therapy! We spent hours exploring the designer boutiques along Avenue Montaigne, each store a feast for the eyes! You'd think they were decorating for a Christmas parade, but honestly, Paris is always dressed up for a celebration!

Then came the delicious French cuisine - pastries, pain au chocolat, and my personal favourite, the decadent chocolate mousse. Oh, and let's not forget about the cheese! A little piece of Camembert never fails to make me smile, and in Paris, it's almost an art form.

But the real highlight of today had to be the Notre Dame Cathedral! We wandered through the cobbled streets, marveling at the architecture, then found ourselves on the Île de la Cité. It was like stepping onto another planet! Notre Dame is magnificent! Those stained glass windows and vaulted ceilings…it took my breath away. It's almost like you can hear the angels singing inside!

And while we were there, a local street performer started playing the accordion, and as soon as I heard the first note, I felt the urge to dance. Well, there's no need to tell you what happened next, is there? My trusty pink tutu was on again, and before I knew it, I was twirling among the Parisians. A few even joined in! Maybe the message is getting through, perhaps a pink tutu does work its magic on everyone!

After the show-stopping performance (because really, who needs a stage when you have the streets of Paris?), we decided to walk along the Seine to admire the lights twinkling on the Eiffel Tower. I’ve heard that the Eiffel Tower at night is a sight to behold, and honestly, it's everything I imagined and more! It’s so majestic and impossibly romantic.

Of course, I've been taking pictures, so much that I think my camera's going to explode with all the magical memories! Just imagine, me in my pink tutu with the Eiffel Tower as my backdrop! Sigh

Don't worry, you'll all get a look at the amazing pictures I've snapped and I'll be posting about everything on www.pink-tutu.com every Saturday. So be sure to tune in!

My journey in Paris has only just begun! There’s so much to see and do, like taking a boat tour down the Seine, visiting the Louvre, exploring Montmartre, and maybe even catching a ballet performance at the Théâtre du Châtelet. I’m also dying to try on some new Parisian fashion, especially after all the lovely window shopping I’ve done!

But until next week, remember my dearest tutu-tastic friends – live your life with pink tutu flair and always dance your way through each day!

And don’t forget to check back here next Saturday for more pink tutu adventures from Paris!

A bientôt!

Love,

Emma
