Bonjour mes chéries! Emma here, ready to sprinkle some pink magic into your Saturday morning with another thrilling instalment from the City of Lights - Paris! The Eurostar whisked me through the Channel Tunnel at a speed I could only dream of performing a pirouette at, leaving the grey skies of Derbyshire far behind. Arriving in Gare du Nord was like stepping into a scene straight out of a ballet - the architecture, the bustling crowds, the intoxicating blend of Parisian perfume and boulangerie scent. This, my lovelies, is the stuff that tutu dreams are made of!
This week's adventure begins with a sparkling Parisian Fashion Fiesta! I have a secret confession: my wardrobe practically exploded when I arrived, the excitement was simply too much. From the delicate lace dresses in the quaint boutiques of Le Marais to the chic Parisian style in the designer showrooms of Avenue Montaigne, Paris is a haven for a fashion-loving ballerina. My heart soared like a ballerina en pointe at the sight of an utterly irresistible pink feather boa - just had to take it home! Think swan lake meets Sex and the City and you've got a little taste of my shopping frenzy!
Of course, no trip to Paris is complete without an encounter with ballet. I'm particularly thrilled to be catching a performance of the Paris Opera Ballet on Wednesday. They'll be performing "Giselle", the epitome of romantic ballet, with its haunting story, captivating music and ethereal choreography. The Paris Opera House is like stepping back in time - gilded and glorious. I can't wait to wear my new pink tutu for this iconic ballet, the perfect touch of sparkle for such a grand event.
Now, my little ballerinas, let's talk food! There's simply no place on earth with better pastries. Croissants fresh from the oven, pain au chocolat, éclairs bursting with decadent flavours – they make my taste buds sing! I’m particularly partial to a Parisian café, soaking up the sunshine, watching the world go by, and enjoying a perfect espresso, naturally paired with a beautifully presented pink macaroon!
But the Parisian adventure isn't just about ballet and boutiques! There are hidden corners waiting to be explored. I am a big fan of a Parisian stroll along the Seine, with a charming café stop at the iconic Shakespeare and Company bookshop! For a whimsical day, the Jardin du Luxembourg beckons with its green space, sculpted flowers, and enchanting fountains. Imagine dancing in a fairytale!
My little ballerinas, as you know, life is a dance, and Paris is like an elegant waltz! The music, the culture, the romance, all blended with my favourite colour, pink - what could be more magical? Remember to live every moment like a dancer, spin through your days with a pink tutu smile, and let the joy of movement inspire your every step.
Keep your eyes peeled on www.pink-tutu.com for more Paris adventures next week, darling!
Lots of Love and pink glitter,
Emma x
