Bonjour mes amies! It's Saturday again, which means it's time for another fabulous Pink Tutu Blog post! This week I'm writing to you from the most magical city in the world: Paris! Sigh I just can't get enough of this city's charm. From the cobblestone streets to the stunning architecture, everything feels like a scene from a fairytale.
I took the Eurostar this week - my favourite way to travel - and felt like I was in a movie myself! The sleek, silver train, gliding through the countryside, just screams chic and sophisticated. I always pack a little extra pink in my bag to add a touch of whimsy to the journey - a feather boa, some sparkly pink nail polish, you know, the usual!
Today I'm feeling positively Parisian - I even found the most perfect little beret to add a touch of "je ne sais quoi" to my outfit. And, of course, my trusty pink tutu is with me, swirling around as I navigate the narrow streets and enchanting cafes. This week I’m determined to embrace the city's glamorous energy. It’s the perfect excuse for a few new outfits, darling! After all, I have to represent the #PinkTutuBlog and I wouldn’t want to let down my wonderful, supportive community who have been encouraging me to take on Paris for months!
Fashion, Foodie, and a Flourishing Fringe: Saturday 2027-07-31This Saturday I'm planning on soaking up every last drop of Parisian charm. Today is packed with delightful things. After indulging in a leisurely breakfast of fresh croissants and pain au chocolat at a charming little cafe, I’m starting the day at the Marais district. I hear the fashion scene here is blooming - vintage boutiques, independent designers and an incredible selection of clothing and shoes. Gulp. I can already feel my wallet protesting at the thought, but you can't visit Paris and NOT shop! I've heard tales of vintage Chanel suits at bargain prices – here's hoping!
I also have my eye on a fabulous pair of Louboutins. Don't judge! I have been saving up for them - my extra special treats should come with a little sparkle, right? I just know I'm going to find the perfect pair today. They're gonna be divine with my tutu. Pink on pink on pink. That's how we roll. Pink Power
Later on, I plan to take a wander down the Champs-Élysées. Can't resist a bit of people watching - such fun to see what everyone’s wearing. It’s also an excellent opportunity to people-watch! You can't go wrong in Paris with some glamorous window-shopping and people watching.
I know, I know. It sounds exhausting, but darling, it's all in the name of fun! To ensure I’m prepped and preened to perfection, I have planned a spot of pampering with a massage and facial - essential after a week of travelling and touring, right?
As the evening draws in, it's time for the most fabulous part of my day - the Ballet. Tonight I’m treating myself to a show at the Opéra Garnier. It’s just an absolute must-see and something I’ve been longing to experience for months! And you bet I'm going to be turning heads with my own, special, pink-tutu performance right there on the Champs-Élysées. After the ballet, I'm hoping to snag a table at Le Fouquet's. That Parisian ambiance, plus divine food – it just doesn’t get much better!
Ballet and BeyondAs I mentioned earlier, I fund all my incredible travel adventures by performing at ballet events. From fundraising performances in my home county of Derbyshire, to performing in local schools, dance workshops, charity galas and at theatre shows, my dance passion has truly taken off since I turned professional. In the past year alone, I’ve been asked to participate in several shows in London and, most recently, a dance production in Leeds! So my fellow Tutu-lovers, keep an eye out for performances, you never know - I might just be performing in your local area!
