Pink Tutu Blog Paris - #1441: Oh La La! Paris, Je T'aime!

Hello, my darling readers! It's Emma here, your pink-tutu-clad travel companion, reporting live from the City of Lights! This weekend, I took the EuroStar, a grand adventure in itself (so much better than flying, if you ask me!), to the very heart of Paris. This time, the pink tutu will be twirling with the Eiffel Tower as its backdrop. Prepare yourselves for a whirlwind of fashion, ballet, and Parisian enchantment, all served up with a hefty helping of pink!

From Derbyshire to the City of Lights

The train journey was, as always, pure magic. I felt like a character stepping into a French film, surrounded by the gentle rhythm of the tracks, a soundtrack to my imagination. A classic ballet playlist filled the carriage with melodies of grace, my tutu swishing with each note. I knew I was going to have the best week!

Paris is calling, and I'm always ready to answer. I feel right at home amongst the cobbled streets and quaint cafes, but even more so when there’s a ballet performance to be seen, a couture collection to drool over, or a new cafe where I can sip champagne while dreaming up my next blog post! Oh, and don't forget the incredible pastry shops! I mean, you can’t come to Paris and not indulge in a macaron or two, can you?

Day One: An Ode to French Fashion

My first full day in Paris began, naturally, with a trip to the most incredible fashion district you could ever imagine. The clothes shops! They were bursting at the seams with vibrant colors, gorgeous cuts, and designs that make you feel like a princess. From the vintage shops overflowing with treasures to the designer boutiques that seemed to whisper tales of haute couture, Paris was a wonderland for my fashion senses.

The real treat of the day was finding a little vintage store nestled away on a side street, with racks upon racks of frocks perfect for my ballerina wardrobe. My purse got a bit lighter (and my heart a lot fuller!), but honestly, who could resist such glorious pieces? Imagine my glee when I discovered a fluffy, lilac tulle skirt perfect for twirling around the Seine, or the divine silk scarf, the perfect finishing touch to a chic, Parisian ensemble. I could practically feel the joy of twirling in the Eiffel Tower’s shadow already.

Evening: Dancing into the Night

The evening found me nestled into a velvet seat at the Théâtre du Châtelet, heart racing with anticipation. It was the opening night of the "Sleeping Beauty" ballet! The story is one of my absolute favourites. I love the fairy tale element and the graceful, enchanting choreography. The whole theatre was buzzing with excited whispers, the air itself tingling with magic. As the music began to swell, my heart danced alongside the prima ballerina’s elegant leaps, and the whole night was a dream-like spectacle, the kind of experience that fills your soul with inspiration and beauty.

Day Two: Ballet Bliss and Parisian Delights

A morning visit to the beautiful Opera Garnier, with its grand architecture and ornate details, felt like I’d walked into a scene straight out of "The Phantom of the Opera." I spent ages marveling at the beautiful chandelier and its stunning glass and metal design, a stunning piece of art and Parisian history. You could feel the magic of the stage here, and for someone who’s always dreamed of becoming a ballerina, it was like a dream come true.

Afternoon in Paris always involves delicious food. For lunch, I found myself at the most charming café with delicate pastries and coffee with the perfect amount of froth. This city’s commitment to simple pleasures makes my soul happy!

The afternoon’s activity, however, was a ballet class. It had been too long since I'd last twirled under the guidance of a professional instructor! The studio was warm and welcoming, the sounds of our graceful movements filling the air, as I perfected my pirouettes. You know you're truly alive when you’re feeling that surge of energy and power through your every movement.

In the late afternoon, I took a delightful stroll along the banks of the Seine. You really must do it. You’re truly mesmerized by the romantic ambiance of this beautiful city. Imagine: watching the sun dip below the horizon, painting the sky with hues of fiery oranges and pinks, while the river twinkles like a thousand shimmering jewels, and a nearby street musician serenades with French classics... It's almost enough to make you believe in fairytales.

For dinner, I opted for an elegant brasserie where the food was delicious and the atmosphere was quintessentially French. The lights twinkled and there were conversations in every corner. You know that feeling you get when you’re somewhere exciting? Like you’re surrounded by people living full, joyous lives? This place really captured the essence of Paris, making it all feel more magical.

Day Three: A Pink Tutu Adventure in Paris

Today began with a walk to the Louvre! The iconic glass pyramid beckoned, and I couldn’t resist exploring the artwork of the Masters. You’re transported back in time to an era of artistry and beauty that feels magical.

From there, I made my way to the charming little boutiques and tea rooms that lined the charming streets, admiring the pretty window displays and getting lost in the Parisian fashion scene. The streets of Paris have so much personality, even the little side streets leading you away from the main roads were filled with fascinating corners to explore.

In the afternoon, it was time for more Parisian fashion, so I made my way to the city’s designer district, where boutiques showcasing cutting-edge designs stood side by side with established names. Paris, you know, truly knows how to inspire. But it was time to indulge my love of pink.

You know how much I adore all things pink! Today, my Pink Tutu fashion quest involved scouring Paris for the perfect pink accessory. I ended up falling in love with a delicate pair of pink pearl earrings at a local designer jewellery boutique. They just felt perfect. I know, my ears weren’t begging for earrings - I just wanted them!

And Finally… More Eiffel Tower Dreams!

Evening time is always magical in Paris! The city dresses up for the night with twinkling lights and twinkling lights, making every cobbled street feel enchanting.

Tonight’s plan was simple - enjoying an elegant Parisian dinner at a little bistro I had read about in a fashion magazine and then ending the evening by strolling alongside the Seine.

You know I had to make it to the top of the Eiffel Tower at least once this trip, right? It just seemed like an essential Paris moment. This time I decided to make it a real pink tutu adventure, and that involved me choosing to go up to the Eiffel Tower at twilight. This meant that I got to see Paris as the day turned into night! You know how magical the setting sun looks across the city? And the way the streetlights twinkled? The cityscape transformed into a canvas of glowing lights and shadowed architecture that seemed like an artist's dream!

The highlight of the trip for me was twirling under the sparkling Eiffel Tower in my pink tutu, holding onto that dream of getting everyone in the world to wear a pink tutu!

Ending this week’s blog here

It was a truly magical Paris trip filled with romance, fashion, ballet, and lots and lots of delicious macarons!

If you love fashion, love the ballet and love all things pink, you just have to add Paris to your bucket list!
