Pink Tutu in Paris! - Blog Post #1450

Bonjour mes amies!

It’s Emma here, writing to you from the City of Lights, Paris! This weekend, my dreams of twirling amongst the Parisian rooftops finally came true - and believe me, I’ve been waiting for this one! After months of planning, packing, and practicing my Parisian French (which, let's be honest, sounds a bit more like a flock of birds with a bad cold!), I finally boarded the Eurostar from my beloved Derbyshire. The excitement of a new adventure and the magical hum of the train engine put me in the most splendid of moods.

This trip, however, isn’t just a typical Parisian holiday. I’ve been yearning to visit the Grand Palais for ages! Imagine, darling, the beautiful, breathtaking architecture, the world-renowned artworks… and I, of course, will be adding my very own splash of colour - a stunningly vibrant pink tutu. (Think delicate tulle, soft pink shades, and maybe a little touch of glitter for that Parisian flair!)

But first, before diving into the artistic whirlwind, a bit of de rigeur Parisian indulgence. Did I tell you I finally snagged that fabulous Chanel jacket? Oh, it’s absolutely divine! The kind of classic yet utterly glamorous piece that would make even Coco Chanel herself give a knowing smile. This little beauty will make its grand debut this very evening - it simply calls for a chic café, a steaming pot of strong, black coffee, and some serious people-watching!

Speaking of chic, Paris really does have a different air to it, wouldn't you agree? Even the shop window mannequins are more stylish, as if the fashion itself is in love with this city! But enough about my newfound obsession with Parisian couture – let's talk ballet!

One of the reasons I saved up so long for this trip was the opportunity to experience a true Parisian ballet performance. Today, my darlings, the esteemed Ballet de l’Opéra National de Paris graces the stage with the classic and stunning "Giselle!" Now, I have been waiting to see this for years. It's pure ballet bliss and the choreography… swoon… simply captivating. Just imagining myself as Giselle, dancing under the glittering lights of the Palais Garnier, sends shivers of excitement through me. And believe me, it's no secret: Paris is in love with its ballet, which, if you ask me, just makes my little ballerina heart sing!

Of course, I can’t resist taking some ballet classes myself! I found a darling little studio tucked away in a quiet, charming neighbourhood – a real Parisian secret! The teacher, a lovely woman with kind eyes and years of ballet experience, promised to help me hone my skills.

There's something wonderfully liberating about the world of dance. Here, within the walls of a studio or the magic of the stage, every feeling, every dream, can be expressed. You feel truly free, soaring high above any earthly troubles. You know what? Maybe, just maybe, a few Parisian pirouettes will inspire my next Tutu Tuesdays on www.pink-tutu.com. Oh, the ideas that might blossom on this enchanting Parisian journey!

As you know, my lovely blog followers, I’m not afraid to be bold with colour. Imagine me on a crisp, sunny day, striding through the beautiful Parisian streets. The cobbled walkways, the scent of fresh bread wafting from charming bakeries, the Eiffel Tower gleaming against a bright blue sky… and I? Twirling down the Champs-Élysées, radiating joy and confidence in my beautiful pink tutu, with a dazzling Chanel jacket draped effortlessly over my shoulders. Yes, my darlings, this is a day for embracing life, every last moment of it, in all its beautiful colour!

That’s all for today, my dears! Be sure to join me next week for another Parisian adventure – maybe I'll be discussing Parisian pastries, the art of a beautiful Parisian garden, or even my new collection of beret hats! Until then, stay true to your dreams, twirl often, and always wear a little bit of pink!

A bientot, Emma xo
