Bonjour mes chéries! It's Saturday morning and Emma here, ready to whisk you away on another fabulous adventure - this time, I'm bringing you right to the heart of Paris!
I’ve been dying to share my Paris escapade with you all – ever since I landed in this dreamy city, my Instagram feed has been bursting with pictures of gorgeous cafes, chic boutiques and of course, a few Parisian pink tutus. (Trust me, they are seriously chic, darling!)
I hopped on the EuroStar - it's a must for any fashionista making a swift dash to the continent - with my trusty pink tutu (this one's a real statement piece, think hot pink with shimmering sequins) in my hand luggage, feeling utterly fabulous. Honestly, there's just something about gliding through the channel on a train, knowing a magical adventure awaits. I have to say, they know how to make travel luxurious here in Europe!
This time around, I'm in Paris not just for the culture, the architecture and the croissants (those things are pure heaven!), but also for the "Paris Dance Festival". Imagine, my dears, the best dancers from around the globe converging for a spectacle of breathtaking talent.
As I'm typing this, I'm already dreaming of those twirls, those leaps, those perfect lines. This is the event I've been preparing for for weeks, with my tutus perfectly pressed and my repertoire rehearsed - I even brought my lucky ballet slippers from Derbyshire just for this occasion. I may not be performing in the festival, but you better believe I’m going to be dancing like nobody's watching.
I know you’re all wondering what my Parisian wardrobe looks like! This trip called for an extra special Parisian vibe. Imagine… elegant pink dresses that whisper of French chic, shimmering evening gowns that demand attention (hello, opening night at the Palais Garnier!), and of course, an assortment of the most divine pink tutus for daytime exploration.
Pink Tutu Style Tips
- Mix it up: You can totally wear your pink tutus in everyday life - I love a floaty tutu with a chic black jumper, knee-high boots, and a classic trench coat - très chic, darling!
- Accessorise: Don’t be afraid to have fun! Statement jewellery, quirky hats, and delicate headbands work wonders.
- Confidence is Key: Embrace your inner ballerina, my loves! When you walk with confidence, even a pink tutu feels completely natural.
You might be thinking: “Emma, isn’t it difficult travelling with all that pink fluff?” Let me tell you - it’s an absolute joy. Being a travelling ballerina means having a love for life and an appreciation for the details. And I wouldn’t trade a single sequin on my pink tutu for anything.
Paris has been such a delight – already, I've walked along the Seine, gawked at the Eiffel Tower (naturally in a pink tutu with sparkling silver detail, which you can see in my latest Instagram post - check out the hashtag #pinktutuparis), and inhaled the most decadent pastries I’ve ever tasted. But, honestly, the most wonderful part has been getting to know the local Parisian girls.
These fashionistas have definitely made an impression on me! Their sense of style is unparalleled, effortlessly blending the chic and the playful with the slightest touch of eccentricity – oh, and their pink tutu game is seriously strong! (I’ve already spotted a vintage tulle creation I have to have!)
So far my trip to Paris has been...
- Culture overload: A must-visit to the Louvre, gazing at the Mona Lisa with a pink tutu that shimmered in the soft light, was a truly magical moment.
- Foodie heaven: You haven’t truly experienced Paris until you’ve eaten at one of the hidden bistros – perfect for lunch with my new Parisian friend Chloe, we enjoyed delicious crepes and chatted about ballet.
- Inspiration at every corner: Paris really is a muse! I’m already dreaming of a ballet routine set on the Champs-Élysées.
I promise to be back next Saturday with even more pink-tutu-tastic Parisian adventures - you won’t want to miss it!

A Pink-Tutu-licious Weekend in Paris
This weekend, Paris is buzzing with activity, and I'm determined to soak it all in. Here's a glimpse into what my schedule looks like - and believe me, it's a pink-tutu filled wonderland:
Saturday, October 16th
- Morning: After a morning stroll along the Seine with a perfectly paired croissant in hand (the Parisians take breakfast seriously, my dears), I'm heading straight for a ballet class with a Parisian ballet teacher - I hear she's renowned for her demanding, yet encouraging style. Let's just say I'm prepared to give my best arabesque in the most luxurious studio setting!
- Afternoon: The "Paris Dance Festival" kicks off! I’m so excited – it’s the most prestigious dance event in the world and a real feather in my ballet cap (literally!) – think fabulous dancers, a mesmerizing set, and a beautiful theatre that has my imagination running wild.
- Evening: A pink-tutu-tastic outing with Chloe (she has a dazzling vintage tutu with a delicate pink feather trim that she just inherited) to a hidden Parisian restaurant for an unforgettable evening of champagne, Parisian food, and, of course, a lively discussion about the evening’s performance.
Sunday, October 17th
- Morning: I can't miss the famous French market on Place des Vosges - a vintage lovers dream, where you'll find treasures that range from delicate jewellery to gorgeous antique tutus. I'm hoping for a genuine Parisian creation from the 1920s, the fabric so fine and beautiful it makes my heart skip a beat.
- Afternoon: My dear, you can’t visit Paris without an elegant high tea! I’m meeting with an incredible group of Parisian designers, all inspired by the beauty of ballet - I’ll be sporting my finest pink tutu and sipping tea like a proper English rose.
- Evening: Another ballet performance at the Paris Opera House – this time, a spectacular contemporary ballet piece, "The Parisian Waltz," with original choreography by one of my favourite dancers - how exciting!
Monday, October 18th
- Morning: I'm packing up my pink tutu collection, I have so much to look back on already - my Parisian experiences are etched in every sequin, feather and frill. My journey back to Derbyshire awaits – but I'm already plotting my next Paris escapade.
This isn’t just about pink tutus - it’s about savouring the Parisian vibe, letting the culture sweep you off your feet and immersing yourself in the artistic wonders this city holds. And let me tell you, it’s the best kind of romantic escapade - one where dreams and tutus combine to create an unforgettable ballet of life.
Stay tuned, dear readers, for the next chapter in my Parisian adventures – it's already filling me with excitement! I'll be sharing it all with you right here on Pink-Tutu.com next Saturday. Until then, I hope you'll embrace your inner ballerina, dress in pink tutus, and twirl your way into a magnificent weekend!
Sending you a Parisian Kiss
Emma xx
