Bonjour, mes chéries! Emma here, reporting live from the City of Lights! ? As you know, this is my weekly dose of Parisian wonder, straight to your inbox! This week, I'm bringing you #PinkTutuBlogParis, post number 1453! Can you believe it? I can't wait to tell you all about it, so grab a cuppa and let's get started! ?
As always, I got here on the EuroStar. There's something so romantic and magical about arriving in Paris by train, especially when you're sporting a fabulous pink tutu and matching sparkly headband. The conductor even gave me a smile! I swear, everyone loves tutus – even grumpy old train conductors! ?
So, what’s on my Parisian agenda this week? Well, as you know, it's all about celebrating the magic of dance, fashion, and pink, of course!
*Day One: "Parisian Perfection" *
This weekend, I’m dancing around the city like nobody's watching, and by "dancing," I mean browsing the world-renowned vintage shops along Rue de Rennes! My pink tulle tutu flowed with the rhythm of the Parisian streets. ? Honestly, darling, every single boutique here is bursting with unique vintage treasures! There's something for everyone - 50s skirts, 80s shoulder pads, 70s velvet dresses – it’s an absolute dream come true. And best of all, I picked up the most stunning pair of pearl-embellished ballet flats that just cried out for a pirouette. ?
*Day Two: A "Ballroom Bonanza!" *
My Parisian adventure led me straight to the iconic Palais Garnier. Now, if you're ever in Paris, dear readers, you have to visit the Opera Garnier. The architecture is mind-blowing, the craftsmanship impeccable. They call it a palace for a reason. This masterpiece of neo-Baroque splendour hosted the world-famous ballet, "Swan Lake." The performance was incredible - such breathtaking choreography! And it didn’t hurt that everyone around me had a certain level of Parisian chic…it was absolutely divine. ?
*Day Three: "Treats and Tunes" *
Now, who doesn't love a delicious patisserie on a rainy Paris day? You can bet your bottom dollar I stopped by Ladurée for a macaron, a slice of pastel-pink gateau, and some strong Parisian coffee. ☕ Of course, it was followed by a trip to a local street market, browsing stalls filled with handmade gifts, clothes, and treasures of every kind. There was even a guy selling hand-knitted ballet shoes – the ultimate Paris souvenirs. ?
Day Four: "Shopping Spree!"
Today's adventure was dedicated to Parisian chic! The streets were buzzing with style – trendy shoppers, fashion bloggers, and even some ballerinas strutting their stuff! Naturally, I went straight to the shops I’d had my eye on. The most incredible boutique I discovered was filled with vintage French designers – I snagged a fabulous vintage floral dress. The fabric, darling, was just divine! So silky soft, with this gorgeous hand-painted design. I couldn't resist! ?
Day Five: "Pink Palace Dreams! "
Every little girl dreams of having their very own castle…but who needs a fairytale castle when you can have the pink dream that is Le Marais district?! From the colourful cobbled streets to the perfectly-preserved pastel-pink houses, I felt like I had stepped into a magical dream. ? Honestly, I almost got lost in the sheer cuteness of it all. This beautiful little district truly felt like a pink-hued paradise.
*Day Six: "Artful Afternoon!" *
Today's Parisian experience involved a dose of artistic exploration. The Musée d'Orsay, an elegant building adorned in glass, took me on a journey through some of the most incredible paintings and sculptures. I particularly loved the collection of Impressionist pieces – the colour, the light, the pure emotion of these works is simply mesmerizing. After I soaked up some art, I enjoyed the delightful, Parisian tradition of outdoor picnics - with baguette, cheese, wine, and naturally a piece of that stunning pink cake from Ladurée. ?
*Day Seven: "Farewell Paris" *
It’s time to say goodbye to my Parisian adventure. A big part of my Paris visits involve catching the famous Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux (the Bordeaux Grand Theatre Ballet) and the L’Opéra de Lyon (Lyon Opera). This time it was the latter with an awe-inspiring performance of Giselle. So elegant, dramatic, powerful, emotional. The music! The dancing! The sheer beauty of it all! ?
But don’t worry my darlings, I’ll be back for more pink tutus, Parisian charm and a whole lot of dance fun. Until then, stay pink and stay fabulous! ?
