Pink Tutu Prague: Post #29 - A Dance Through the City of a Hundred Spires

Hello darlings! Emma here, reporting live from Prague, a city that has completely stolen my heart (and I’ve only been here for a few hours!). The train journey from Vienna was absolutely delightful, so scenic. It reminded me of a fairy tale with the rolling green hills and charming villages dotted along the way. The sound of the train chugging along and the rhythm of the wheels are almost like a ballet in themselves, and it puts me right in the mood for all things tutu and dance.

Now, I’m all settled into my little boutique hotel right in the heart of Prague. Let me tell you, the pink is on point! I couldn’t resist the prettiest blush pink room, and I even managed to find a little vintage tutu at a market nearby. Talk about a happy coincidence, don't you think?

This week's adventures in the enchanting city of Prague are all about exploring the vibrant cultural scene and embracing the magic of this city, naturally with my beloved tutu in tow! You know me - a ballet and fashion obsessed girl needs her pink tutu everywhere she goes.

But before I get carried away by all the wonders that Prague holds, let’s dive right into today's adventure. I know you are all dying to know!

Prague: The Ballet Paradise

As it's a Wednesday, that means ballet! This afternoon I indulged in a spot of culture at the Czech National Theatre. They've got a phenomenal reputation, and oh, how they did not disappoint.

You wouldn't believe the intricate costumes they had on display! They reminded me of the ballerinas' elaborate tulle outfits from the Russian Imperial Ballet, except these were inspired by Czech folk traditions. Talk about an elegant and beautiful combination! I just had to snag a few photographs for you, my lovely followers!

We're talking layered tulle in colours of rose, plum and rich ruby, all in shades that complement each other perfectly. The fabric felt light and delicate in the dim lights of the theatre, it looked ethereal. It's not every day you come across this much artistry!

I’m already itching to try my hand at a bit of ballet myself in the City of a Hundred Spires, so you know I'm on the lookout for the most charming little studio in the old town. I imagine dancing through the cobbled streets, the rhythm of my tutus tapping out a lovely beat to the soundtrack of Prague’s magic. How utterly delightful!

But, you know me - my days aren't solely dedicated to the delicate world of ballet (much as I wish they could be). Fashion has to be indulged, darling. Prague’s little boutiques are truly a dream come true. Imagine delicate hand-painted china figurines of tutus adorning the windows of charming antique shops and trendy little cafés serving pastel pink latte art alongside perfectly pink raspberry macarons, darling! It is sheer bliss, my loves!

Now, let's have a proper explore!

The Charm of Old Town Prague

We’ve strolled along the charming, cobblestone streets of Old Town, wandered through the impressive Prague Castle and its sprawling grounds, and marveled at the beauty of the Charles Bridge. Prague truly is a magical place, overflowing with history and elegance.

And the food, oh my! The smells of fresh pastry wafting through the streets is absolutely divine, and I’ve discovered a charming little café that makes the most delectable almond cake topped with a creamy pink glaze - perfect for a pink-tutu loving gal like myself.

Oh, speaking of cake... how I love Prague’s history, and its association with the magical realm of cakes, and all things pink and beautiful, my dears. My dear mama loves all things fairytale, so I just knew that a little tutu-wearing tour through this storybook town was a must! And it has really brought out the fairytale loving part of me.

But enough of the chit chat... I think I need to add another post here in Prague’s fairytale, it seems, you can never really write enough! So I'll be back next Wednesday with more on my tutued Prague adventures!

Until next time, lovelies,

Emma x

I hope you are enjoying these posts as much as I'm enjoying writing them.
