Pink Tutu Prague: A Ballerina’s Dream Come True (Post #118)

Bonjour, darlings!

It’s Wednesday again, which means it’s time for another Pink Tutu Prague blog post! And oh my goodness, my lovelies, you wouldn't believe what I’ve been up to this week. This little ballerina has been galavanting through the streets of Prague, twirling through cobbled lanes, and experiencing the magic of this truly enchanting city!

And if you haven’t noticed already, Prague just screams pink tutu, wouldn't you agree? From the pastel buildings to the charming cafes with their quaint floral decorations, this city is bursting with feminine delights that would make even the most cynical of tutus blush.

A Dash of Pink and a Swish of Satin: A Fashionable Start

I arrived in Prague earlier this week, naturally travelling by train - a rather civilised way to arrive at your destination. The journey was as enchanting as the city itself, with quaint villages and breathtaking landscapes flitting by the window. As I stepped off the train, I felt a magical rush of excitement – a feeling I can only describe as being very much akin to a pirouette!

Of course, any journey must start with the perfect outfit. Now, you all know I adore a pink tutu. And trust me, I made quite the statement when I arrived at my hotel! I slipped into a floaty, candy floss pink tutu with delicate tulle layers and a sequined bodice that glittered like the jewels on the Prague astronomical clock. To add a touch of Bohemian flair, I paired it with a pair of intricately woven, floral-print ankle boots – because a pink tutu girl is always a fashionable girl, even in Prague.

A Ballet Fan's Paradise

Prague, my dears, is simply a ballet lover’s paradise. From the ornate Baroque architecture to the stunning churches, this city exudes elegance and grace, much like a dancer on point! My first stop, naturally, was the National Theatre, a grand old lady with a heart of gold. And let me tell you, she’s absolutely dripping in ballet history! I imagined the legendary dancers who have graced her stage, from the golden age of the Bolshoi to the ballerinas of today. A little tutu tip – grab yourself a backstage tour while you’re there! You can really soak up the history and see the heart and soul of this incredible theatre.

Of course, I couldn't leave Prague without experiencing a live performance, so I snagged a ticket to see "Giselle" at the National Theatre itself! Oh, it was just glorious! The graceful movements, the beautiful costumes, and the intoxicating passion – I felt tears of pure joy in my eyes! You truly have to see it to understand how beautiful ballet can be, and this experience has filled me with so much inspiration for my next pink tutu performance!

Ballet is Everywhere: Exploring the Cobblestone Streets

Now, the fun didn't stop with the theatre. The beauty of Prague is that it's practically infused with ballet – or at least a sense of graceful movement. Walking through the Old Town Square, I couldn’t help but imagine the graceful movements of the waltzing couples I saw on the charming cafes and charming piazzas. Even the cobblestone streets seemed to whisper with the sound of graceful steps! And don’t even get me started on the bridge views. Simply breathtaking.

Prague's Old Town Square was a treat for my pink-tutu-loving eyes. There were musicians serenading tourists, vendors hawking handcrafted goods, and a lively atmosphere filled with laughter and the clink of beer glasses. It was pure magic! As I wandered, I spotted a group of young girls dressed in their own charming tutus – proof positive that the tutu spirit is alive and well, even in Prague! It was just too cute. And I, of course, shared some tutu-inspired tips on how to really pull off a fabulously feminine pink look. You just have to make sure it makes a statement. A big statement. You never know what might inspire the next big ballerina!

Shopping Adventures: Embracing Prague's Flair

No trip to Prague would be complete without indulging in a little retail therapy, and darling, the shops here are truly fabulous! I spent hours scouring the boutique stores and antique shops for unique pieces to add to my pink tutu wardrobe. I stumbled upon a darling little vintage shop tucked away in a side street where I found a perfect addition for my tutu collection - a pair of shimmering pink satin gloves with intricate embroidery. Just perfect for a special occasion. And don't worry, I was absolutely glowing when I picked them out, like the true ballet princess that I am.

Speaking of occasions, I treated myself to a beautiful vintage pink-trimmed straw hat – because every ballerina needs a statement piece. Let’s be honest, it was screaming to go in my suitcase! A truly exquisite creation that brought my look together. Don’t even get me started on the selection of beautiful, sparkly handbags in shops – they made me swoon! So much feminine magic all in one place. And just perfect for holding my ballet flats and my phone so I could document all these glorious experiences. I’m never without it!

Ballet in the Streets: Finding the Perfect Tutu Spot

No visit to Prague would be complete without snapping some perfect Pink Tutu Prague photos, now would it? So I decided to try a little spontaneous ballet performance for my Instagram followers! You know, something a little off-the-cuff and inspiring. Now, let’s just say, when I’m feeling like twirling, no-one can stop me! And what better location than the iconic Charles Bridge? This bridge is truly a spectacle for the senses – so breathtaking and historically significant! I decided to embrace this magic by doing a quick performance in the middle of the bridge for my dear Instagram followers – and darling, let me tell you, the response was truly phenomenal! I received so many compliments on my performance – some even thought it was a street show! What a wonderful way to make a big entrance to the most romantic city in the world. And how much better could a ballet princess do than inspire others with her talent.

You see, that’s the thing about a pink tutu – it’s a statement, a reminder to celebrate our inner ballerina.

Ending on a Sweet Note

This trip to Prague has been absolutely magical – it has definitely re-ignited my passion for ballet and all things pink! But my time here is nearing its end. My lovelies, it's time to wave goodbye to Prague and pack my pink tutu suitcase full of inspiration and memories.

Until next week, darling readers, remember – life is too short to wear beige! Be brave, be bold, and unleash the Pink Tutu you inside. See you all next Wednesday for another Pink Tutu blog post!

Lots of love,

Emma xxx
