Prague Calling! 🩰💖 Post #146

Hello darlings!

It's Emma here, back from a whirlwind trip to the beautiful city of Prague! I simply had to share my adventures with you lovely lot. It was a dream come true for this tutu-loving, pink-obsessed ballerina - think cobbled streets, historical castles, and a breathtaking ballet performance!

This week, as usual, I'm coming at you live from my little laptop on the train, heading back to Derbyshire from the continent, feeling the fresh, clean breeze rushing through my hair. Oh, the romance! 🚂 This time though, it's a little different. Normally, my ballet travels take me by train to charming little villages in the countryside - picturesque scenery, you know the drill! - but this time, I had the chance to explore a real city. Prague, darling, Prague!

The Pink Tutu Touches Down in Prague

As you may know, dear readers, my life is a symphony of pink tulle and graceful leaps! It all started in the picturesque Peak District, Derbyshire. But after conquering the local ballet scene, I was drawn to bigger dreams, bigger stages. My performances helped me fund my journey, each pirouette, each arabesque getting me closer to a magical world of ballerinas, breathtaking costumes, and yes, even the occasional tutus in vibrant shades of pink. I was ready for the next step. And, well, let's just say that Prague did not disappoint!

My first stop after arriving by train, was finding a fabulous hotel with character. The only way to do Prague, right? This one, darling, was charming, nestled in a backstreet, all winding staircases, flower-filled balconies, and, you guessed it, pink! I have to admit, finding pink decor in Europe was a bit tricky sometimes, but the moment I walked into my room with its fluffy pink cushions and rose-printed bed linen, I knew I had found my little corner of Prague paradise!

A Taste of Prague

Prague is absolutely buzzing with life! Everywhere you go, the scent of warm, freshly baked bread mingles with the sound of cobblestone streets, and the happy chatter of people in all languages! There were also plenty of shops where I found the perfect accessories for my tutu-laden wardrobe: antique brooches that matched my pale pink tutu beautifully, tiny, shimmering pink necklaces that I wore with my favorite pink floral skirt, and, of course, a stunning pair of pink gloves for my new ballerina outfit!

Tutus and Ballet - Prague Style!

After shopping (did I mention the shopping?), I had to make my way to the theatre! The PinkTutu Prague ballet performance was the highlight of the whole trip! It was one of the most captivating things I've ever witnessed! The dancers were mesmerizing, with elegant costumes and breathtaking moves. It was an actual symphony of elegance! Even though I had a chance to meet the ballerina principal who had been my idol since I was 14 (pinch me!), it's the music that stays with me, that will forever remind me of the grace of the performance. I saw real artistry, and real talent - and it brought me to tears, darling! I cried like a baby in the theatre! My whole body, my soul, just shivered! Such artistry! Such brilliance!

Speaking of brilliant, remember when I said I'd met the ballerina principal, you know, the famous one with a killer turn out? It turns out, the backstage gossip is even better than the show. Did you know that one of the best dancers on the team is also a major tutu aficionado? She swears she keeps a collection of 15 pink tutus in her apartment! We spent about an hour just gushing over pink tutus! So fabulous, right?

Prague’s Magical Streets

Walking through the streets, I found a lovely vintage shop that actually had a pink tulle ballet dress for a very reasonable price! (Honestly, it was a steal, like five quid or something!) Now, this isn't a typical "going-to-the-ballet-in-London" type of outfit - it was, well, a lot more bohemian, more carefree. But I fell in love with it instantly! A vision in soft pastel pink with layers and layers of ruffles and flowing lace, it was begging to be spun around. I know this doesn't sound very “classical” but remember, my dears, fashion, like life, is a beautiful, ever-evolving dance, and sometimes you have to just let loose and twirl!

Prague’s magical atmosphere just drew me in! It's one of those places where you get lost in the moment. That little bit of whimsy, the quaint cafes, and the colorful, charming atmosphere – oh darling! You can't beat it! Even without my pink tutu, Prague felt like the setting of a storybook, just waiting for me to dance through its pages.

Riding into the Sunset on a Pony

Because Prague had me feeling so inspired, I took advantage of all the horse riding excursions they offer there. They’re everywhere, just like my tutu, all the way to Vienna and even further! Now, you can't really imagine this with me, in my pink tutu. Oh, how I dream of a time when I can wear pink tutus everywhere. That is my mission. My journey in the future will lead me closer to my goal, and that’s getting everyone into pink tutus, of course! That includes people in their 80s, or people at fancy functions, even politicians, or the man at the corner store - the whole world needs a splash of pink tulle!

The moment I hopped onto my little white pony, I swear, a tiny pink feather popped onto its head! It’s almost like a little sign from the universe saying “Go, go, go Emma. Don’t stop! The future is pink!”. You see, it was just perfect. The day ended with a pink sunset that splashed onto the horses’ golden coats and cast everything in a magical light.

And it’s back to the real world for me now, darling. Back to my ballet classes, back to the theatre. But even as I watch my students carefully executing a graceful fouetté, a bit of Prague will always stay with me. It was a pink tulle dream, just for me.

Until next week!

Lots of love, Emma xox
